Authors POV

Spongebob Squarepants stared at his neighbour, working the cash register as he flipped the crabby patties.

Oh he was so beautiful.

"Spongebob!" Snapped Squidward. Spongebob hadn't noticed that Squidward had called him, he was to busy daydreaming about him.

"Yes Squiddy?" Smiled Spongebob. Squidward cringed. His arch nemesis from band class, Squiliam Fancyson had always called him that.

"Don't call me that!" Hissed Squidward. Spongebob sniffled and looked hurt.

"Um, 3 crabby patties please." Gulped Squidward, turning around and taking orders again. Spongebobs face lit up. That was the first time he had heard Squidward say please!

"Order up." Beamed Spongebob, smiling at Squidward. "Thanks." Muttered Squidward, taking the tray and serving it to the customers.

Spongebob turned around, only to see his boss, Mr Krabs, staring at him with a "businesses like" smile.

"Ahoi Mr Krabs!" Soluted Spongebob. "Ahoi Spongebob!" Grinned Mr Krabs. "Can I help you sir?" Asked Spongebob.

"Well you see, you and Mr Squidward will have to work late shift tonight. I have a date with me money! See you boys tomorrow bright and early arrr arrr arrr." Laughed Mr Krabs, walking out of his restaurant.

Squidward tried calling after his boss but he had already left. Squidward didn't want to spend 3 extra hours with his crus- I mean his co-worker alone!

Spongebob was extremely happy! This was his chance to tell Squidward about his feelings for him!

At 11:37pm Spongebob walked out of the kitchen. He saw that all the customers had left and now he was alone with Squidward.

"Um Squidward?" Called Spongebob. "Yes." Mumbled Squidward, not looking up from his clarinet magazine.

"I h-have to tell you something." Stuttered Spongebob. Squidward looked up and saw the sponge looking extremely nervous.

"You can tell me anything Spongebob." Whispered Squidward, walking closer to him. "I-I l-like you." Spongbob stuttered again, backing away.

Squidward smiled and caressed Spongebob's cheek. "I like you too." Said Squidward softly, crashing his lips against Spongebob's.

This was really hard to write, I almost had to uninstall Wattpad for a second😂
