She was raised as a pirate and one day she found a Devilfruit and ate it, was actually cursed and it's a demonic type power. She escaped the Pirates and started living on her own, using the survival skills her brother taught her when she was younger. She took a sword she had been training with that she always carries around to keep for her defense. When she grew older she learned how to control her Devilfruit-power.
