Dominic was sat at a bar inside a club where his assignment led him to where a suspect of gang related violence. He sighed as he looked around for the supposed celebrity in a room full of the high class

Outside, someone sat on one of the high rise buildings near the club. The rain poured down on them and they were almost like a statue with their frozen posture. They scanned the nightclub until they spotted Dominic sitting by himself and took in a deep breath and exhaled. They then pulled a rifle from their back and waited

Dominic:*sigh* Where is that girl? She should be here. Unless...

Susan: Unless what?

Dominic:*girlish scream* I mean-! Ah, you're here.

Susan:*giggle* And I guess you're my bodyguard for the night?

Dominic: It appears so. Tell me, what exactly did you do that has a private detective guarding an idol?

Susan: Well, let's just say I have something that a lot of people want. And they'll do anything to get it.

Dominic: Like who?

The door bursts open and a group of Arasaka thugs walk into the nightclub, immediately spotting Susan sitting with Dominic. They surround the two and one of the thugs speaks

Arasaka Thug: Mister Arasaka wishes for you to accompany us Ms.Susan

The thug eyes Dominic and turns his attention back to Susan

Arasaka Thug: Alone..

Susan: *hides behind Dominic*

Dominic:*touches her hand* I don't think she should. Tell your boss he can come get whatever he wants himself.

Arasaka Thug: Mister Arasaka told us to give anyone who would get in between him and his possessions a message..

The thug opens his hand and quickly balls it into a fist, punching Dominic in the face and busting his lip. Dominic lunges for the thug but one of the muscular thugs holds him back

Arasaka Thug: Back. Off.

Dominic:*angered breathing* Fuck you!

Arasaka Thug: Americans. So primitive. So dishonorable. You are like animals and I shall treat you as such.

The Arasaka Thug brings his fist back and Dominic flinches before the punch comes in but a loud bang goes off and the Arasaka Thug is on the floor dead with a hole in his head.

Screams drown out the music of the nightclub as more bangs were heard. Dominic grabbed Susan and dove behind the bar with her

Susan: AHH!!

Dominic: Are you shot?!

Susan: No! It's so loud!!

Dominic:*groan*

Outside, the person sitting on top of one of the buildings outside of the nightclub reloads their rifle and puts it on their back. They get up and take a few steps back and run at full sprint and jumps off the roof of the building and crashes through the big window, overlooking the city

Dominic peeks his head over and sees a man clad in strange armor pull a rifle from his back and flip the scope to the side to a smaller one and the sniper turns into a burst rifle. He shoots two of the thugs dead and turns around and barely catches the last one running out through the exit

???: Damn..

Dominic: Freeze!

Dominic held his gun at the man

Dominic: Drop your weapon!

???: Son, I don't think you know what you're doing right now.

Dominic: I'm standing here freaked out! There's dead Arasaka creeps and glass everywhere and I got chased by a damn cyber psycho earlier! Now a freaking moon man is standing here in front of me!

???: I'm just here...for what she has. It's very important to me.

Dominic: Shut up! What is so important that you and Arasaka are trying to get it from this girl?!

???: Okay look, I know you're scared what with all this new stuff that's been happening for a while but I'm not your enemy.

Dominic: Then what are you? Are you with Militech?

???: No. I'm here because of what she has can help me and my friends with something that is WAY bigger than gang wars.

Dominic looks at Susan who looked slightly scared but kept herself calm while hiding behind the bar

Dominic: How big?

???: It could save the world, maybe even the universe.

Dominic: You're crazy!

???: Dammit! The more we sit here and talk the less time I have so either shoot me or come with me! Either way I'm gonna get what I want!

Dominic: You're just some psychopath! You're just as crazy as this damn city!

???: Alright fuck this!

The man extended his hand out and Dominic's gun flew out of his hand and was caught by the strange man. He puts the gun behind his back and sighs

???: Can we go now?

Susan:*stands up* We...we should listen to him...

???: See? Come on before the authorities finally show up.

The man leads Dominic and Susan through the building and down nearly endless flights of stairs. Susan, still shaken up by her experience, hugged herself close to Dominic feeling safe next to him.

Once they reach the bottom floor, they rush outside as the sounds of sirens begin to get closer and closer

Dominic: I assume you have a car!

???: Better.

The man taps the side of his helmet supposedly on a headset inside it and begins speaking to someone over said headset

???: We're in the clear. Come down for extraction. Yes we! I'm sorry but her boyfriend is making it difficult!

Dominic: Hey!

???: It's been a long month for me son, how about you shut the fuck up so we can get out of here?

Dominic:*flips him off*

???:*sigh* Just...come get us. Thanks.

The man turns around with a slight pep in his step signifying he was happy with the outcome

???: Well my friend will be here in a minute so all we have to do is-

Suddenly a car crashes into the man and sends him through the wall of the nightclub

Susan: Oh my god!!

The passenger side door opens and someone steps out of the car. They walk slowly towards the two and once they come out of the smoke they reveal their identity

Kendrixx: There. You. Are~

Dominic: Oh god it's you!

Kendrixx: We didn't finish our little game~ And I was having so much fun~

Kendrixx spots Susan hiding behind Dominic and she grins showing off her razor sharp teeth

Kendrixx: And who's this~? Wait...I know you. You're the girl with that bounty on her head. Yeah~ You stole something so valuable that everyone is gunning for it! So, what did ya steal~? Come on~ You can tell me~ Or...I can just rip it out of ya!!

Kendrixx swipes at the two and cackles as they back away from her

Kendrixx: I wonder if you chromed out your insides too!!

Kendrixx turns her arm into a chainsaw and raises it up above her head and cackles as she was going to vivisect both Dominic and Susan but she felt a tap on her shoulder and she turned around and sees the man she rammed through the wall standing in front of her

Kendrixx: Oh hey.*turns* Wait, what!?

The man grabs Kendrixx by her head and his arms burst with electricity, shocking Kendrixx and knocking her out

???:*sigh* Not in the mood today..

Susan: H-how are you even alive?

???: Don't worry about it.*adjusts his neck*

A large white aircraft started to descend where the trio were located and the cargo bay doors slowly lowered for them as the aircraft hovered in the air

???: Come on!

Dominic: Wait! We can't leave her!

???: I'm sorry what?

Dominic: She's gonna be killed if we leave her here!

???: So let her!

Dominic: It's all the cyberware that's in her system! It's gonked with her brain!

???:*shouts in frustration* Fine!! But you're gonna keep an eye on her!

The man walks into the ship cursing under his breath. Dominic grabbed Kendrixx and carried her into the aircraft with Susan following them. With everyone on board the doors close and they take off into the skies leaving Night City behind.

Susan: I never thought I'd ever leave this place. Now that I see it from so far away...I think I'm gonna miss it.

Dominic:*sigh* That's how Night City gets you. It makes you want to leave but when you do, nowhere feels like home.

The man sat in the cockpit and sighed as he laid back in his seat with his gun beside him

???: Almost there. Just a few more steps...and we can end the nightmare..
