Butts Pie
Her sword was to my neck the whole time, ready to chop me to bits if I were to betray her.
Yet I was doing the opposite, I had my guitar out, playing some really fast tunes on it.
It was funny; I didn't even know how to play the guitar, yet my fingers seemed to do the talking. I was playing from the heart, each note taking a story and expressing it.
I finished a song, and looked over at my best friend who hates me.
Tears come to my eyes. Why...
Why did you have to take her away from me God, why? I know you didn't but...
I let out a deep sigh and started playing again to run that emotion off.
I started to sing along too, letting my voice ring out.
(My voice obviously doesn't sound as good as Taylor's)
I remember when we broke up,
the first time
I screamed the last part, earning a giggle from Cailin.
Saying, "This is it, I've had enough,"
'cause like
We hadn't seen each other in a month
When you said you needed space.
"WHET?!?" I mimicked Miranda Sings. (I just wanted to point out that my phone wanted to correct it to Miranda Dings. You're welcome.)
Then you come around again and say
"Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change, trust me."
Remember how that lasted for a day?
I say, "I hate you," we break up, you call me, "I love you."
I started to get more serious in my singing, letting my inner me out.
Ooh, we called it off again last night
But ooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you
We are never ever ever getting back together,
We are never ever ever getting back together,
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
Like, ever...
I mimicked a sass master for that one. I put down the guitar for a second. "All I ever really care about, is Shews!"
I got a small laugh from Cailin.
I'm really gonna miss you picking fights
And me falling for it screaming that I'm right
And you would hide away and find your peace of mind
With some indie record that's much cooler than mine.
I scrunched my fingers up into air quotes.
Ooh, you called me up again tonight
But ooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you
We are never, ever, ever getting back together
We are never, ever, ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me (talk to me)
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
Ooh, yeah, ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Oh oh oh
I used to think that we were forever ever
And I used to say, "Never say never..."
Uggg... so he calls me up and he's like, "I still love you,"
And I'm like... "I just... I mean this is exhausting, you know, like,
We are never getting back together. Like, ever"
No!
We are never ever ever getting back together
We are never ever ever getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
We, ooh, getting back together, ohhh,
We, ooh, getting back together
You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me (talk to me)
But we are never ever ever ever getting back together
I finished the song and was a little surprised to see that the sword wasn't near my neck anymore.
So I strummed up again started playing a song. And I then I added the lyrics.
I was singing quietly this time, not really wanting to disturb her.
"Stop." She said suddenly. Her words gave me fright, making me jump and stop myself with the heel of my foot.
"Huh? Why?"
My stomach suddenly rumbled, making a whale sound quiet.
"Because of that." She glared, seeming to stare into my soul and make it melt only to run away.
"We'll have to go hunting." She grumbled.
She scanned the area before making her way onto the other side of the path towards a bunny.
She raised her sword and slashed, only to slice my left shoulder instead of the innocent creature behind me. It looked up at me as to give me a thank you then ran for its life.
Holy crap that hurts...
"N-no!" I said, trying to stifle a scream.
Cailin glared at me.
"Well, unless you have some food in that tiny bag, I'm going to have to start killing for some food or we're going to starve! And how are you not screaming in pain?!"
"O-okay, lemme check..." I said, trying to ignore the pain in my shoulder. Holy hell that hurts...
I looked in. Nothing but my flute. Great. Yet for some reason I reached into the bag, only to grab an unknown something and pull it out as if it were in the bag. A piece of pie.
What.
"U-uh, here!" I held out the magical appearing pie to Cailin who took it in her hands and studied it carefully.
It appeared (and smelled) like butterscotch and cinnamon. BUTTS PIE.
"What is it?" Cailin asked, genuinely interested.
"You don't kn- uh... It's called pie! There are other flavors you can make....this one is butterscotch cinnamon pie." I shrugged.
She studied it once again and took a bite. Her eyes widened and looked down at it, probably to see if it was real, then scarfed it down until there were only crumbs left.
She was licking her fingers when she saw me smirking then she stopped.
"It's okay I guess..." She said, glaring off into the sky.
"Yeah whatever ya dink."
