Melody's POV

I can't believe that Ayden would slap a slice of cake out of my hand.

Ayden moves over to my side and lifts the cake. He points to something small on the icing. "Do you know what that is?"

Shaking my head, I say. "Should I?"

Ayden laughs, then shakes his head. "That was a nut. Someone brought nuts into the house, and it was to harm you. The one person I know who would make a cake like this is Tia. She's had it out for you since you got here. Now that she's gone, there's someone still listening to her orders."

"That's right," Hunter said, standing and looking around the table. "I want to know who Eliza is?"

At that moment, Eliza shrinks into her seat, trying to avoid whatever Hunter says to her. Hunter's eyes land on her. "That cake you brought to my room also had nuts in it. Why are you working with Tia to hurt Keegan?"

"I'm not working with her. I swear." Eliza says. She turns her gaze to me. "I won't gain anything for hurting you, Keegan. Please, don't let them fire me."

Ayden's gaze hardens as he looks at her. "Eliza, my Wing has ears. I went through the surveillance footage, and there's a moment in the kitchen where Tia gives you an order to make sure that Keegan eats the cake."

"So," Eliza looks at everyone at the table. "Keegan is treated differently from us? She cleans an entire Wing on her own. Has meals with Hunter when he doesn't want to eat with us. She also gets to have more time off than we do."

Standing, I look Eliza in the eyes. "Since I've been here, I have been through a lot. First, I was assaulted, then hospitalised, and now I have to deal with being poisoned." Opening my bag, I look for my anaphylaxis shot and don't find it.

Hunter looks at me. "What are you looking for?"

"My anaphylactic shot. It's not in my bag. I should check the rest of my stuff."

"Are you serious?" Hunter asks. "We should check the house for the others. If it has, then Tia did this to kill you."

Suri stands. "I'm going to look in my room and the kitchen."

"I'll do the same," Hunter says, taking my hand. You should check your stuff. If we can't find it, then I'll call the Doctor to come to the house and give us new scripts."
"Thanks, Hunter."

Ayden looks at the table. "You're all dismissed except for you, Eliza. You will learn your fate after my siblings have seen the evidence against you. If I were you, I would start packing." That's the last thing I hear as we leave the dining area.

As we walk through the house, I look at Hunter. "Two more days and then we're going to hit the slopes."

"No," Hunter shakes his head. "You still need to rest from the concussion."

Standing my ground, I say. "I've been through worse, and I won't let a little concussion stand in my way. If I need some painkillers, I will take them. I've had more than enough rest, Hunter."

"Fine," Hunter gives in. "If you lose, it's on you."

"I don't lose, Hunter. You'll be eating snow when I'm done with you." Sticking my tongue out at him, I run towards his Wing and unlock the door.

Hunter is right behind me, and before the door closes, he enters the Wing. He wraps his arms around my waist. "You can't escape me."

Turning my head, I look at him. "I can try." I look towards the radio. "Do you want to listen to music?"

"Sure," Hunter moves to the radio and turns it on. The song ends, and then a new one comes on. I recognise the song instantly. It's called 'Under The Full Moon" by Sasha McKeon. "I hate this song," Hunter tells me.

Maybe I'll change his mind as I sing along to it.

Waiting until the chorus comes on, I sing.

Hunter applauds. "I love you're voice, but that song still stinks. There's no way you'll get me to enjoy her music."

Oh, well, I tried.

The next song on the radio is mine.

Hunter looks over at me and says. "I dare you to sing Melody's song?"

"No," I shake my head. "Her songs are something out of my wheelhouse."

Hunter shakes his head. "I don't think it is."

"We should look for our anaphylaxis shots."

"You're avoiding this song. I know you've been rehearsing a song for my sister for that karaoke night on Saturday night."

"I need to rest my vocals for that night." I fake a wasp voice.

Hunter throws his head back and laughs, "You're entertaining Keegan Jennings.

Suddenly, the door to the Wing slams open, and a fuming Suri makes her way towards us."The Bitch cleared the entire anaphylaxis shots out of the house. Have you checked your stuff?"

"No," Hunter and I look at each other. His face pales. "Fuck," He screams.

Moving over to him, I wrap my arms around his waist. Looking into his beautiful brown eyes, I say. "I'm here, Hunter. I'm safe."

Hunter doesn't move from this position. He moves his arms around me and holds me. "I'm glad my brother stopped you from eating that cake. We could have lost you tonight."

Suri has tears in her eyes. One blink, and they fall. She wraps her arms around herself, trying to hold herself together.

"Come here, Suri." I hold my arm out to her, and she runs into my arms, hugging me tight.

It breaks my heart seeing the siblings like this.

Hunter moves one of his arms and wraps it around his sister. Showing her that she's important to him as well.

There's no way in hell I will break this bond apart.

Knock, knock, knock.

Letting go of Suri and Hunter, I walk over to the door and open it. I see Ayden, Mike and Luna standing on the other side.

Luna steps forward. "Did Suri tell you?"

"Suri did." I look over at Hunter and Suri. "As you can tell, this event has hurt them both."

Luna looks at me. "We may not know each other well, but I'm starting to see how much Suri and Hunter like you. Both are never wrong when choosing people to keep in their lives.

I should make an effort with Luna and Ayden.

"Let's have a spa day on Sunday, Luna?"

A smile spreads across Luna's face. "I'd like that. Suri, you should join us."

I'm glad Luna invited Suri. I didn't want to leave her out.

"Yes, girls' day out," Suri yells. "I've been looking forward to this since we got here."

Hunter looks at the three of us. "I'll make the calls and book it in."

Luna hugs her brother. "Thanks, Hunter. Would they have a spot for the three of us?"

"Maybe," Hunter walks into his room to make the phone call.

Ayden moves to my side. "Did you look in your room?"

"No," I shake my head. "Hunter and I were distracted by the radio."

"Typical," Ayden rolls my eyes. "I bet a Melody Stryker came on and he listened to the entire song, swooning over the artist."

"Swooning?" I laugh. "You think that's what he'd do over her?"

"Yes, "Ayden looks towards Hunter's room. "He won't want me to tell you this, but he loves her songs. I've never seen a man try to keep it a secret."

"I know all about him liking Melody." A smile spread across my face as I remembered him letting me listen to one song from his playlist, one of mine. "Hunter, let me listen to his playlist."

Ayden's mouth drops open. "Hunter doesn't let anyone listen to it. He must trust you."

Hunter does, which is something I don't deserve because I'm keeping my identity a secret.

A couple of minutes later, Hunter returns with a smile. "The Spa's been booked for a couple of hours for you three. I made sure to give them extra for closing for you."

Luna screams. "Thanks, Hunter." She runs over to him and hugs him. "Now, we don't have to worry about the walls having ears."

Looking at Luna, I say seriously. "The walls do have ears. It doesn't matter; the secrets you tell someone at the spa will reveal your secrets. It's best to keep it to yourself. Or wait until you are at home to tell someone."

Ayden looks at Hunter and then at me. "You should check your rooms. We should make sure that all anaphylaxis shots have been taken. There's more than one person behind what's going on."

"Okay," I say, heading toward my room. Stopping at the door, I see most of my things overturned, and the room is in a mess. Opening my suitcase, I find the locked section intact. Nobody got to it. Opening the lock, I see the one that would have saved my life.

Hunter enters my room and stops at the door. "Who did this?"

"I'm not sure." A smile spreads across my face. "They took the ones I had lying around the room, but one was hidden in a locked section in the suitcase. The person must have been pissed because they couldn't get into it."

"I wouldn't be surprised if this was their reaction to not getting it." Suri, Luna, Ayden and Mike stop at my door. "You should handle this. I will clean my room and the rest of the apartment, Hunter. Please call a doctor to have what we need on hand if anything happens to one of us."

Ayden pulls his phone out of his pocket. "I'll do that right now." He walks out of the room.

Pulling my suitcase from the bed, I put it on the ground and folded the clothes I had inside. When I'm on the road, I prefer to keep everything in the suitcase; it saves time when we need to leave for the next stop on our tours.

Suri looks at my still-packed bag. "Do you ever unpack?"

"No," I put everything in order. "I find it easier to keep everything in the suitcase. If I have to leave in a hurry, there are fewer things for me to do if I need to go."

"Do you think something will happen?" Suri asks.

"No, but anything can happen, Suri. That's why I don't take a chance."

"We will see you later, Keegan. I will leave you in the care of your bodyguards." Hunter walks out of my room.
