"Ahhhhhhh.." I scream

I couldn't stop crying. Why did this nightmare keep repeating itself?..

I can't sleep anymore so I walk out and sit on the couch in the living room.

I sit there sobbing hoping no one hears me. While I was sitting there it started to get so hot that I decided I walk into the balcony and sit on the swing out there.

Shawn's P.O.V

Owwww...did Matthew just kicked me of the bed...ugh, it's so hard sleeping next to this boy!

The only other place I can sleep now is the couch...but we watched a horror movie today and I am so not walking out there alone. I'm too scared to walk out on my own.

I kept shaking Matt until he started mumbling. I didn't really understand what he had said. But it sounded like "SHAWNNNN why the heck did you wake me up?? I was having the best dream ever.. I was just about to ask the girl of my dreams out!"

"Sorry man, but I need u to walk me out to the couch. You were the one who made me watch the conjuring, so now you gotta walk me there." I say giggling a bit

Matt sighs and says "You ass! Don't wake me up again."

I laugh and say "You know it's going to happen again.."

Matt giggles and whispers "Good night bud, love you!"

"Love you too bud, see you in the morning."

I just decided to flop onto the coucg and fall back asleep.

Two minutes later I hear someone outside, oh shitty shit shit! I shouldn't have watched the horror movie... I walk to look outside the balcony and then I see someone.

"AHHHHHHH"... we both scream
I start running when the same person pulls me back and I look to hear someone say

"Shawn, Shawn it's just me.." I know this voice so I turn to see it was just Tia

"Oh my God!  You have no clue how happy I am to see its just you!" I said and turned around to give her a big hug.

As soon as we broke away from the hug Tia starts balling her eyes out laughing, I heard her laugh and for some reason I started laughing along with her.  Once we stopped laughing and we were able breathe again and see each other clearly, we went outside to sit in outside on the swing, in the balcony.

"Why the heck were you so scared? You screamed and because you screamed I screamed!" Tia asks giggling while looking at me

"Well Matt made me watch the conjuring with him, and I was pretty freaked out.. I came out to sleep on the couch because Matt kicked me out the bed in his sleep, and then I heard you." I said giggling and moving my hand through my hair

"Classic Matt!" Whispers Tia, still smiling.

"What are you doing out here this late?"

She sighs and answers  "I had a nightmare and I couldn't sleep after that so I decided to come sit out."

"You wanna talk about your nightmare?" I hesitated to ask because I had just met her 2 days ago and I didn't want her to think that I was nosy.

"I'd rather not, but thanks for asking Shawn. You know, your very sweet, and thanks for cheering me up by that girly scream of yours." She says, looking straight into my eyes, and then gives me a short but sweet hug. I could feel her cold arms around me and I could see the goosebumps on her arms...

"Anytime Tia! Aren't you feeling cold? I see the goosebumps on your arms." I said tracing a few of them

"Yeah, I'm a bit cold but I like it out here. Wait imma go get my hoodie, I'll be right back." She said and then sprinted out the balcony..

Damn it Shawn, this was your time to make a move on her. Why the heck didn't you give her your hoodie???

Oh wait, I couldn't have anyways, I haven't spoken to Matt and Tia about the tattoo yet.. oops!  I open up the sleeve of my hoodies to look at the beautiful piece of artwork on my arm

"Wow!" I heard a girly voice behind me and immediately knew that it was Tia.

She sat close to me on the swing and pulled my sleeve up to look at it. She was just staring at it for a bit and tracing her fingers softly across the tattoo as if she was afraid that it would hurt me. And all this time all I did was sit and stare at her like an idiot.

"This is so beautiful Shawn. When did you get it?" She said looking up to find me already looking at her

"A few days ago." I say not looking at her, hoping she wasn't mad at me. "Are you mad at me?"

"Why would you think that? I understand that you need space Shawn. You don't need to tell me and Matt everything and I know that you would have told us eventually on your own time, anyway." She says softly, now looking away form me to look at the beautiful view in front of us.

Wow, she is so freaking awesome! I thought to myself. Why would Matt leave someone like her?

Oops well that's none of my business...

I stand up and said "Thank you so much for understanding.. It means a lot to me. But I'm going to sleep on the couch now. Goodnight, and thanks for being such a great friend" I smile looking at her and ruffling her hair for some reason

"Wait Shawn, before you leave. I just wanted to say that I think your tattoo is so freaking beautiful, and don't worry, Matt won't know about your tattoo until you decide to tell him about it." She says returning a smile, showing off her slightly crooked teeth

"Thank you so so much Tia!" I say and walk into the living room to fall asleep, thinking about how nice Tia truly was.
