Poppy's consultants look at him. Angel Poppy feels like he didn't do his job right so a sad look appears on his face as he bites his lower lip. Devil Poppy folds his arms not liking what Poppy had said to him. He rolls his eyes at Poppy then Angel Poppy punches him in the arm. Devil Poppy quickly unfolds his arms and starts rubbing his hurt arm with his hand as he yells " Ow!" in pain. The devil turns his head to the Angel glaring at him.

" You can try to punch me later. Just disappear so Poppy can actully think and come up with decision on his own. ",Angel Poppy says honestly,softly and seriously.

"Fine!",Devil Poppy says annoyed.

Then both imaginary consultants completely disappear in second leaving Poppy alone. Poppy scratches the back of his head not really sure if his guilt is making his mind go crazy or was it his eyes just playing tricks on him. Then since Poppy still couldn't sleep he gets out of bed and walks over to the bedroom door.

He opens quietly it and goes into the hall to just walk through it for a little while. Poppy closes the door quietly behind him then starts walking in a random direction in the hall. Many thoughts are floating in his head as he slowly walks. There is lost and confused look on Poppy's face.

Unknowingly to the former troll he is accidentally walking towards Branch's bedroom. Several minutes had passed as Poppy continues walk trying to clear his mind. Then he unknowingly stops at Branch's bedroom door. Suddenly he hears Branch's faint voice calling out to him causing Poppy to snap out of his thoughts. The pink vampire turns his head towards Branch's bedroom door.

" Branch?",Poppy says softly to himself.

He hears Branch's faint voice a few more times but, couldn't make out what she was saying. Assuming Branch must still be awake like him Poppy gets little closer to the bedroom door. He softly knocks on the door hoping to get her attention.

" Branch?",Poppy calls out softly.

Nobody answers to the door but,Poppy can still hear Branch talking faintly and mumbling from inside the bedroom. Poppy just looks at the door confused. Is Branch awake or just sleep talking as she sleeping? Or maybe she didn't hear him? Poppy knocks on the door a little louder.

"Branch? Are you awake?",Poppy says through the door.

Then Poppy hears Branch's faint voice again but,still doesn't know what she is saying. The male vampire is now unsure if he should open the door or wait for her to open it or walk away. The spy stands there a little longer as he thinks about what to do. Then Poppy conjures up some courage as he puts his hand on the door handle. He slowly pulls it down then pushes the door forward slowly without it making noise.

"Branch?",Poppy says softly.

Then Poppy notices Branch is still in her bed laying on her side facing him with an unhappy expression on her face. Her bedroom is still dark but, the sunlight from outside is making her bedroom have a little more light without actually going directly into her room. Poppy is put in awe by Branch in that moment. Her hair is a little messy and her natural beauty is shining through on her sleeping form. Poppy's heart skips a beat. Then Poppy snaps out of his daze as Branch starts sleep talking as if she is having a nightmare as she tosses and turns in her sleep!

"... nonono... poppy... please wake up... don't leave me... ",Branch says scared in her sleep with tears coming out from under her eyelids.

Poppy immediately realizes in that moment that she is having a nightmare! And it has something to do with him. It breaks Poppy's heart to see Branch like this! This is the first time he saw Branch have a nightmare and cry and he didn't like it. The Queen continues to get more active with fear as she sleeps worryng Poppy even more! The pink man dashes over to Branch's bed as her body tosses towards him. More tears are coming out of her closed eyes as her heart beats faster!

" Poppy!",Branch says loudly and scared in her sleep!

Poppy immediately sits onto her fast then starts trying to wake her while comforting her. He puts his hands on her arm and shakes her body gently and fast. There is worried look on his face as his heart beats faster. Branch can feel and hear Poppy trying to wakeup in her dream.

"Branch...Hey,I'm right here... I'm okay. Wakeup, Branch...Please Wakeup...",Poppy says softly and comfortingly.

Branch starts waking up still crying as Poppy tries to comfort her. She looks up at Poppy shocked as she opens her eyes and reality kicks back in. Her eyes widen as she realizes Poppy is actually in her bedroom sitting next to her on her bed! Poppy smiles down at her comfortingly and softly. He had stopped shaking her and removed his hands from her arm.

Branch sits up still shocked with her tears disappearing and revealing the top half of her black and red lace nightgown. The nightgown fits Branch's body perfectly and is flattering her figure. Branch's hands hold onto the big and fluffy blanket still staring at Poppy. Poppy blushes when he sees Branch's nightgown which isn't showing off her parts but, is still flattering her figure. She looks beautiful in it.

" What The Frosting Why Are You In My Room?!",Branch yells upset and scared ready to punch Poppy.

Poppy is startled by Branch yelling at him! He falls off the bed then quickly gets up panicking before Branch could do any thing else! He realizes how this must not look good to Branch so he tries to explain himself to her. Branch pulls on her blanket cover her body more uncomfortable and still scared and upset. The Queen never had boy in her room like this before! In fact her grandpa and few male servants are the only men who ever came into her bedroom when she is still in it! Branch continues to stare at Poppy unhappily as she listens to Poppy.

" I'm Sorry! It's just I couldn't fall asleep so I took a walk in the hall but, then I heard you talking so I thought you were awake. I knocked on the door twice but, you didn't exactly answer so I wasn't sure if I should had opened the door and checked or walk away. I heard you talking more so I thought that maybe you did hear me so I opened the door while saying your name to get your attention but, then I noticed you were sleeping and were having a nightmare! So I came in to comfort you and wake you up cause it looked like you were having a really bad nightmare! I didn't mean to scare you! Honest! ",Poppy explains panicked and fast with some unnecessary details in the mix.

After Poppy was done with his apology and explanation Branch stared at him for a few more seconds. At first she couldn't believe that Poppy had heard her nightmare sleep talking and came in here! Then Poppy apologizes more making her let out a sigh and start calming down. She was honestly ready to throw the nearest thing to her at Poppy minutes ago! She brings the part of her blanket she was holding down onto her lap and let's it go. The Queen shakes her head to Poppy as she folds her arms covering up her chest. There is still an unhappy expression on her face.

" Relax. I'm not going to do anything to you anymore...",Branch says blankly.

" So your not mad?",Poppy asks softly and still worried that she is still mad.

"No but, I don't like how you just came in here while I was sleeping. Why couldn't you sleep all a sudden?",Branch says honestly.

Poppy let's out a sigh as he remembered what brought him here to in the first place. The tense air becomes less tense. The tension from his body had left as his shoulders dropped. Branch notices how Poppy suddenly seems to be bothered. Her expression softens as a frown appears on her face. Poppy sits down on her bed again and scratches his left arm with his right hand a little. He looks at Branch keeping the expression on his face.

" Poppy? What's wrong?",Branch asks softly.

" I don't deserve everything you did for me...",Poppy says softly and feeling guilty.

Branch looks at Poppy confused. Why did Poppy feel that way? Usually she is the one who felt like she didn't deserve everything she has. Poppy usually seemed so happy and without worry to her but, then her mind goes back to what happened back at the lake... The almost drowning situation and her saving him and having him being taken care of must har got him thinking more. Honestly it did get her thinking too. There is no doubt that the lake event was near death experience! Near death experiences will always leave some kind of imprint or scars on people.

" Poppy,you almost drowned! I couldn't just let you die or be left on your own afterwards! I lo-... ",Branch says softly and caringly but, pauses when she realized what was about to come out of her lips.

Branch and Poppy had became friends over the eight months. Very good friends. Their like best friends but, her heart disagrees with the phrase " We're just friends". In that moment Branch realizes something that she was unsure of and yet she still knew about it. She wasn't ready to admit it yet, even to herself.

" I care about you... Even know I don't always show it like you do I still do. Your important to me. That's why I was having that terrible nightmare. I was scared that I was going to lose you last night and still am. I mean if I wasn't there when I got there it I could had lost you like I lost my parents... ",Branch admits honestly,softly and sadly.

Poppy hadn't paid too much attention to Branch's pause. He is more focused on what she had said. He knows how scared Branch is about losing those she cares about and loves. It's partly why she doesn't let others in so easily and it isn't easy for her admit either.

"Well I'm not going anyway,Branch. Your important to me and I care about you too. You done more for me last night than any of the other vampires would. I'm not even sure if there's anything I can do now to repay your kindness...",Poppy says honestly,caringly and softly.

Branch's heart warms up and feels lighter in that moment and so does Poppy's heart. Branch smiles lovingly and softly at Poppy making him smile. Their connection and bond is becoming stronger.

" If you ever want to just talk about something you can come to me. You can tell me anything. ",Branch says honestly and softly.

" Anything?",Poppy repeats softly and questioning.

Branch nods her head while simply smiling at Poppy. Then she turns her head down to her blanket and starts to it up a little. A hopeful smile spreads across Poppy's face. Maybe he can tell her about everything he couldn't tell her. About who he is and his mission. Poppy has been wanting to tell her for so long but, he just couldn't! Now it seems like he can tell her without anything bad happen. That hope is jumping in his heart as he decided to try to tell Branch the truth in that moment.

" Branch? I need to say something...",Poppy says with courage.

Branch turns her head back up at Poppy with an innocent look on her face. There is a soft twinkle in her eyes. Her hands sit on top of the cozy blanket. In that moment all Poppy's courage and hope of telling her the hidden truth about him goes down the drain completely as he realizes something. Branch won't take the truth he has been hiding about himself for pass eight months lightly! She's going to be angry, feel betrayed and hate him! Fear and worry takes over Poppy quickly. Poppy immediately changes his mind about what he was going to say. A frown appears on Poppy's face at the reality played in his mind.

"Yeah Poppy?",Branch asks innocently.

"...Hm... Can I stay here a little longer with you? And maybe sleep here with you? I won't do anything. It's just I don't want to be alone and being around you makes me feel more safer and comfortable...", Poppy says softly instead of telling Branch the truth.

Branch looks at Poppy for moment thinking about what just said. It had surprised her that Poppy had asked her to share her bed with him like that. She never had actual man,besides her grandpa, lay next to her in her bed. Sure her grandpa did it when she was little but, this is a different story. Poppy and her aren't related and Poppy is basically the first guy to be in her bedroom and asked to share her bed with him! After a brief moment of thinking Branch decides to let this happen.

" Well... I guess it will be okay just for the one time.",Branch says softly and honestly.

Then Branch scoots out of the middle of her Queen size bed to make more space for Poppy. Poppy smiles simply at her and gets under the covers. Branch moves one of the large cozy pillows to Poppy's side so he could have an equal amount of comfort. The two vampires both lay down getting cozy in the warm cozy bed with space between them. Branch's bed is more cozy and comfortable than the one given to Poppy.

They are on their sides facing each other then both tell each other to sleep well. Branch slowly turns her back to Poppy then Poppy does the same. Poppy let's out a quiet sigh to himself. He wished that he could tell the vampire falling asleep beside him the truth but, he just couldn't... Soon Poppy's eyes close as he finally drifts away into sleep.
