Squid's POV

The tunnel was very dark, the few torchers barely did anything to lighten it up. There was water dripping down from the ceiling, and I could hear the drops echo as they fell.

After a while, I came to a more open area. Lined up on the walls was a row of several switches. I pulled the third one, and a door opened, leading outside. as soon as I took a step towards the opening, I heard a shout behind me.

I looked back, and I saw Sky running towards me, something in his hand. I freeze for a split second before turning back towards the opening, and running towards it. But before I get there I feel a hand close around my wrist, keeping me from going any further. I curse under my breath before looking at sky.

He looked mad, yet relieved at the same time, which in my opinion was weird.

"yes?" I ask innocently, tilting my head a little, kinda like a confused puppy.

"don't act all innocent," he snaps, "I am taking you back with me, no objections."

I smirk, a small idea forming in my mind. "oh really?" I ask, and quickly peck him on the lips  "and exactly how are you gonna do that?"

He freezes and his face goes red, his grip on my arm loosens and I free myself. "bye," I say quickly, before running out through the opening, it sealing up behind me. As soon as I'm out, my face goes red. "heh," I say softly, "I guess that worked..." I look back at the closed wall. "see ya later sky..."

I turn back around, and sprint towards the wall of the city, I get there and climb over it, and land softly on the other side. Then I sprint into the woods, away from everything.

Skys POV

As soon as the wall closes, I snap back into reality. "wha-what just happened?" I ask no one. I touch my lips softly with one hand and smile a tiny bit. "Notchdammit," I murmur, "the hell are you doing to me Squid?"

I'm so consumed in my thoughts, I didn't hear someone coming up behind me. "Sky?" asks a voice, "Sky!?" they say a bit louder, snapping me back to reality.

I turn around and see Ty, "yes?" I asked, still slightly in a daze.

"We couldn't find squid," he says, then something flashes in his eyes for a split second, before its gone. "what are you doing down here?"

I shake my head a little, clearing it completely. "I found Squid down here, but he escaped."

Ty shakes his head a little and sighs, "ill make sure the guards on post know to look out for him, just in case he shows up sometime again."

I nod, "that should work." I look at ty, and I see he's fidgeting a little. "are you alright?" I ask.

He opens his mouth as if to reply, but shuts it, and sighs. "can I tell you something?" he mumbles, not making eye contact.

"sure, what is it?"

He bites his lip, "I uh, s-sort of m-maybe m-ight uh...Ihaveacrushonyou."he says, and squeezes his eyes shut.

I open my mouth to say something, but no words come out. I close my mouth, and open it again, my voice finally working. "I'm sorry," I say, looking at him sadly, "but I don't feel the same way."

he looks up at me, sadness pooling in his ruby red orbs, "you know I was joking right?" he asks, trying not to sound upset.

I pretend I don't notice his sadness and force a laugh, "oh," I say. "Did Mitch set you up for it?" I ask, hoping my voice sounded lighter than I felt.

he nods quickly, glad for an excuse, "yeah, we were playing truth or dare with some of the others a couple of days ago."

"And you didn't invite me?" I ask, feigning hurt. "well, we better get back." I say, trying to get us both out of this awkard situation.

"yeah," he says, "you go ahead, I-Ill catch up."

I nod, and turn to the long tunnel, and I start walking. after a few seconds, I look back at ty. Hes looking at the ground, and I see a glittering tear fall and hit the ground. I bite my lip, 'I'm sorry Ty, but I like someone else' I think before starting back down the tunnel.

Yay! Drama! *sighs* Why do I like angst? anywho, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter *smiles* skys thoughts and this aren't bolded/italicized because I cant figure out how to since my bloody computer wont let me select stuff. Anywho...
