Millie POV:

My youngest sister Taytum's laughter erupted all throughout my apartment as Jackson was running around with her on his back. Oh to be 8 again and have no worries in the world. Meanwhile Cole was playing video games with my two younger brothers Finn and James.

"Please come film a tik tok with me!" Sydney said pulling on my arm.

"I don't even know the dance!" I insisted. Mom was taking a nap in my room while Justin and Tyler were out at some bar meeting up with friends. My phone started to buzz and I opened it up to see texts from Ben of the pictures he took of me. He had tried to send them last night but I guess they just went finally went through.

"Woah, those are so cool!" Sydney freaked looking at my phone.

"What is it?" Jackson asked running over. "Damn girl, who took these?"

"I bet it was her new boyfriend." Cole laughed from the couch.

"He's not my boyfriend!" I said smacking the back of his head.

"Who is it?" Sydney asked. She's so nosey.

"He's nobody." I said.

"His name is Benjamin Cook." Jackson laughed.

"Wait a second...Ben Tyler Cook? Broadway Star?" Sydney said, her eyes wide.

"How do you know him?" I asked confused.

"Literally every girl in our theatre department is in love with him!" she explained.

"Millie has a boyfriend!" Taytum chanted still hanging onto Jackson. He started bouncing her around as he joined her in the chanting. The pictures really did turn out incredible...and I hate having my picture taken. He just made it so easy to be comfortable with him.

"I have a show to go get ready for. Tell mom your tickets are at will call." I said grabbing my purse. I gave Taytum a kiss on her cheek goodbye and headed out. I actually didn't have to be at the theatre for another hour...I just couldn't handle them anymore. The air was crisp but it felt really nice, I'm still recovering from the majorly hot summer we had. I threw my headphones on and headed to the subway. I'll just hangout in the theatre district until it's time for the show. It really never gets old here. I used to wander around here all the time when I first moved to New York. I spent hours sitting outside of theatres, writing in my journal, and dreaming of the day I could be on one of those stages. I went to the Winter Garden Theatre and looked at the pictures on the doors. That's me. Right next to Alex, an actual legend. Every time I see it I'm at a loss for words.

"Crazy isn't it?" A voice said causing me to jump. I whipped around to see Ben's friend Josh right behind me. "Oh my gosh I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you."

"No it's ok, I was just deep in my thoughts." I laughed taking out one of my headphones. "What's up?"

"Just finished a dance class and was headed home. Thought I recognized a broadway star and had to stop her and get her autograph." he joked.

"You're crazy." I laughed. "I just needed to escape my family for a little bit. I love them with my whole heart but I'm still recovering from last nights party and they can be exhausting."

"Yeah when I left this morning Ben was still passed out hard." Josh laughed. There's something about Josh's presence is just so...calming.

"Hey would you want to go grab coffee? I still have some time to kill before my show and it would probably look weird if just stood here for an hour."

"Coffee sounds perfect." Josh said. This is also a good way to keep my mind off of Ben. He's been consuming my thoughts this morning. Flashbacks of us dancing last night kept sneaking in no matter how hard I tried to keep them out. His smile, his curls. How can I turn my feelings off?

Ben POV:

"Morning Bennie Boy." Dan said yanking the curtains in my room open.

"Brooo." I groaned grabbing a pillow and throwing it over my face.

"Hungover?" Dan laughed.

"Yeah just a little." I said, my voice muffled from the pillow.

"How did the party go?" Dan asked. One of the best nights of my life.

"It was fun, I'm glad I went." I tried to say casually.

"Guess who just had a coffee date with a beautiful girl." Josh smiled striding into my bedroom.

"Wait what?" I sat up confused. It's too early for this. I caught a glimpse of my clock. Just kidding, it's 2 in the afternoon.

"Who?" Dan asked.

"I think you guys might know her actually! Does the name Millie ring a bell?" I instantly shot up in my bed.

"Way to play it cool Ben." Dan laughed.

"I thought she had her family in town?" I asked.

"She does, I ran into her before her show." Josh explained.

"How is she?" I asked.

"Oh my gosh she wouldn't shut up about you. All she could talk about was Ben this Ben that." Josh said.

"Really!" I smiled getting excited.

"No!" Josh said grabbing a pillow and smacking me on the head with it. Rude. "We just talked about her family and her Beetlejuice experience."

"You've fallen hard Ben Cook." Dan said.

"Boy needs life alert." Josh joked.

"Whats so wrong about me having a crush?" I protested.

"Nothing. It's just really fun to mess with you about it." Josh said.

"I would start getting ready though if I was you, we have a class to teach in an hour." Dan said.

"Amazing." I groaned. Millie looked so beautiful last night, the way she danced like nobody else was there. Like she had no cares in the world. For awhile I forgot the party was even happening, it felt like just the two of us. I leaned over and grabbed my phone to see texts from Millie. Yes, she finally got the pictures I had been trying to send. And she loves them. She looks so perfect in them, how can somebody even be this perfect? I went to Instagram and 10 minutes ago she had posted a video backstage of her and Presley dancing around. She looks so genuinely happy...and not hungover how the fuck?

"Let's get this day going!" Dan said as him and Josh both left my room. Can I skip through today and make it tomorrow already so I can see her again?

Millie POV:

"So, Beck stopped by again last night." My mom said as we sat at an early dinner between my shows.

"Mom hid our baseball bats." Justin said.

"I don't know why you even dated Beck, he's a douche." Finn said.

"You don't know anything." Sydney said to him. "You're 15 and still have never gotten a girl to look at you."

"Says the girl that hasn't had her first kiss yet at 17." Finn retorted back.

"Beck is sweet!" my mom insisted.

"Mom can we please not talk about Beck?" I begged.

"Because Millie has a boyfriend!" Taytum laughed. I kicked her leg under the table and shot her a glare.

"I'm sorry what?" My oldest brother Tyler said.

"I don't have a boyfriend oh my gosh!" I said defending myself.

"Well I told Beck that next time you came back he should come over and spend some time with you." mom said.

"I went to dinner with him last time I was home, isnt that enough?" I asked.

"He's so obviously still in love with you Mills." Sydney said.

"And I so obviously wish he would drop off the face of this Earth." I said,

"Mom when are you going to get it through your head that Millie and Beck are over?" Justin asked.

"I still think they are soulmates." mom said looking away from all of us and continuing to eat her sandwich. "Beck is a great guy"

"If you like him so much mom why don't you just date him?" James joked.

"Nice one." I laughed giving him a high five.

"Your father likes Beck too." My mom said.

"He hates his guts, what are you talking about?" Tyler laughed.

"So where do we get the check?" I asked looking around. This was fun, but I just want to take a nap now before the show.

"Go ahead Mills, go get ready for your next show." Justin laughed grabbing me in a side hug. I gave everybody a hug goodbye and then hurried off. I shouldn't text Ben...I shouldn't text Ben...

Millie- hey, what are you up to?

Maybe he won't even reply. Fuck I shouldn't have sent it he's going to think I'm crazy.

Is this a good idea? He's been such a distraction. I need to refocus...

Millie: had dinner with the fam and going to head to the theatre now. the show doesn't stop haha

I shoved my phone back in my pocket. Don't let boys make you drop your game Millie. You know better than that. Almost happened one time, it cannot happen again.
