「 THIRTY 」

Help! Get me out! Please!

Castyr woke to Kilo's voice screaming in his mind. The star's eyes burst open, and he instant turned to check on the angel. Kilo's brows were furrowed in pain, and his lips were parted in fear.

Someone, please! Save me!

As Kilo's cries of desperation continued, Castyr began shaking the angel in an attempt to wake him from his terror. "Kilo! Kilo!"

Kilo instinctively reached out for the star upon Castyr's touch. The link between the angel and star opened completely as Kilo grabbed Castyr's arm. Tears filled Castyr's eyes as he felt Kilo's torment through their shared connection. This is why he kept it off for so long. The depth of Kilo's pain terrified Castyr, and he now understood that Kilo had been protecting him from experiencing his personal hell.

When Kilo remained unresponsive to Castyr's physical actions to wake him, Castyr attempted to reach Kilo through the newly restored link. It's okay, Kilo. I'm here. You're safe. You got out of that place. The star sent comforting emotions through the link as he wrapped his arms around his angel. Castyr then turned Kilo's face into his neck, so the angel would breathe his scent and would hopefully return to him.

Castyr? Through his state of terror, Kilo recognized the star's scent. He began to fret and worry he had dragged the star into his pained world. Why are you here? You shouldn't be here. You need to get out! They're coming! You need to leave. Castyr, please!!

Kilo's cries broke Castyr's heart. How has he been shouldering this all by himself? Castyr held his angel tighter as tears stained his face. I'm not going anywhere, Kilo. I'm going to stay right here. I'm not leaving you. You're not in Hades anymore. You're safe. We are both safe. It's okay.

A moment of silence settled over the two. Kilo had heard him. It was not long before Kilo quietly responded to the star. We're safe...?

Yes. We're safe. Castyr breathed in relief when he heard his angel's voice. You can open your eyes, now. All the bad people are gone, and they're not coming back.

Castyr watched as Kilo's breathing slowed, and he stopped panting. After a short moment, Kilo opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was his star gazing down at him through wet eyes.

"Castyr?" Kilo was still grasping the fact that he was not in Hades and had returned to Heaven.

"I'm right here." Castyr ran his hand through Kilo's hair in soothing motions while smiling at Kilo faintly. "It's okay. We're safe."

A single tear fell from Kilo's eye when he realized Castyr had experienced what he had tried so hard to protect him from. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to connect you like that."

Castyr fought back more tears that threatened to fall. He understood why Kilo had kept the link closed for so long, but he hoped this would be the only time it happened. "It's okay. But please don't cut me off again? I want to help. Your pain is my pain, and my comfort is your comfort."

Kilo swallowed dryly before slowly nodding his head in agreement. When the angel's eyes fell back closed, Castyr extended his glow to cover the both of them lightly. With the comfort of the star's glow and the warmth of his tough, Kilo was able to relax in Castyr's arms. The angel then mumbled something under his breath as he fell back to sleep.

What did he say? Castyr did not catch what Kilo had mumbled, but he was glad Kilo was able to relax, so he did not chase it. Instead, he scooted down next to the angel and held onto Kilo's waist. Kilo instinctively took Castyr in his arms, and the two fell asleep together in peace.

++++++++

Kilo watched as the star scurried around the bedroom glowing cutely. Small hums drifted from the closet as Castyr sifted through his clothes. He emerged a few moments later holding his officer garments. Kilo gazed at the star lovingly, grateful to have him in his life.

"Kilo! You need to go shower," Castyr told his angel cutely as he went to don his officer uniform. "We're going to be late to the ceremony!"

"I'm on it!" Castyr's words snapped Kilo out of his habit of watching the star, and he rushed into the bathroom and took a quick shower. Once clean, Kilo put on his new, captain's ceremonial garments and exited the bathroom whilst drying his hair with a towel. His jaw dropped at the sight before him.

Castyr was stunning. The perfectly fitted uniform showed off the star's beautiful body. His hair was parted and styled. A long, silver earring dangled from his left ear while an elegant, jewel stud decorated his right ear. The star was also wearing a hint of makeup, and Kilo thought he looked just ravishing.

"Wow, you are so beautiful." Kilo was awestruck.

The star blushed a smiled at Kilo's compliment, his glow enhancing his natural beaty. Ripping himself from Castyr's deadly trance, Kilo retreated into the bathroom and styled his dark hair, so it no longer hung in his eyes. Castyr entered after a few moments carrying a paint thin brush and a shimmering container. A whiff of the star's scent flowed past Kilo as Castyr propped himself up on the counter and sat facing the angel.

Wow, he smells great, too. Kilo almost pulled the star in for a kiss as he swooned from Castyr's scent, but when the star spread his legs and motioned for Kilo to get closer, the angel froze. What? Now? Right now?!

"Come here," Castyr said with a small smile as he opened the shimmering container.

"Uh...Castyr, we-"

"I know! It'll be okay. Just come here." Castyr then grabbed Kilo's waist and guided the angel to stand in between his legs. Kilo held his breath as Castyr pulled him closer until the two were touching. "Okay, let's see," Castyr voiced under his breath as he dipped the brush into the sparking, silver hair paint.

The star furrowed his brows in concentration as he began highlighting Kilo's raven hair with thin, silver lines. "There we go." Castyr smiled in satisfaction before closing the container and rinsing the excess silver liquid from the brush. "One more thing," Castyr stated as he brought out a pair of small, black diamond stud earrings.

Kilo remained still as a statue while Castyr set the earrings, the star humming in quiet satisfaction as he pulled back and gazed at his angel. With the earrings in, Kilo observed his new look in the mirror. A smile came to Kilo's lips as his gaze flowed from the silver highlights cresting his raven hair to the black diamond studs.

"I love it. Thanks, babe." Kilo thanked Castyr for his work with a quick kiss on the lips.

"Of course," Castyr returned while smiling up at his angel brightly. You are so irresistibly handsome.

Kilo chuckled lightly at the star's silent compliment, and he could resist Castyr no more. Before the star knew it, Kilo had clashed their lips together and entrapped him in a deep kiss. A small moan escaped Castyr as he felt Kilo taste his mouth before sliding his hand into his silver hair. Castyr caressed the side of Kilo's neck as the angel grabbed underneath his thighs and lifted the star to straddle his waist.

"Kilo...!" Castyr released in a gasp as Kilo lifted him from the counter and exited the bathroom. "We have to leave soon!" The star reminded his angel of their upcoming event as Kilo gently laid him on the bed.

"It won't hurt to be fashionably late," Kilo returned as he left a trail of kissed up the star's neck. Castyr could not help but chuckle at the angel's determination to kiss him, but he ended up giving Kilo a time restraint before they really needed to leave. "You have five minutes. Kisses only!"

"Heyyy, that's not fair."

Castyr grinned at Kilo's cute pout before bringing his angel in for another kiss.
