"Gajeel~"I purred out and drank another mug of beer.

"Chug! Chug! Chug!"Cana cheered her drinking buddy.

"Why does he have *hiccup* to be a idiot?"I grumbled crossing my arms under my chest.

"Men are like that,"Cana giggled and drank more out of her barrel.

"But he didn't have to go on a mission *hiccup* without me,"I whined like a baby and pounded on the table we were sitting on.

"He will be back in a few minutes Lucy,"Mira chimed in and took away my mug of beer. "He said not to drink while he was gone."

"He doesn't tell me what to do,"I growled lowly and took my mug of beer back. "I'll drink whenever I feel like it,"I grabbed more beer out of Cana's barrel and drank it quickly.

"Atta girl!"Cana cheered and clashed our mugs together. "You should all learn from her,"Cana pointed at me and laughed wildly.

My senses heightened when I heard footsteps heading closer to the guild. I grinned evilly and waited till he was close enough.

He kicked the open and walked in. Not wasting any time I ran to him.

"Gajeel!"I squealed out of happiness but then I remembered my sole purpose. "Who the hell do you think you are!?"I asked angrily and jumped up to his height slamming my elbow on his face, I spun to a stop and kicked the back of his legs with my shin,he landed heavily on his back. I sat over his chest and grinned. "I missed you."

"Why did you do that?"he groaned and sat up rubbing his face. "You reek of alcohol."

I stuck my tongue out. "It was just a little taste of what I will do next time if you dare to leave me behind on a mission again."

He sighed. "I was going to wait till we were home,but I don't think it's a good idea,"he took out 3 golden keys. "I was told by Yukino that it was time for you to finally claim all the Golden keys, I was also told that there was a good reason for it,she is pregnant with Stings baby."

I growled. "How dare he? She's just a girl,he can barely fill in as a master,and now he wants to be a father,"I stood up and stomped my way to the front door. Gajeel stood in front of me.

"There's one more thing you need to know,"He said and wrapped his arms around my waist. "The baby's body is too fragile to control any type of magic,she wanted to retire to take care of her baby like a normal mom, she knew the baby would feel left out if he was the only one to not have any magic,that is the main reason she wanted to give you her keys,she would stay with the silver ones though."

I looked down. "Oh."

"Yeah, that's why I didn't want you to drink, after the mission I went to get the keys, then I was planning to take you to visit her,she's having her baby in 3 weeks,"He kissed my forehead and combed my messy hair.

"We can still go,"I whined clinging onto his neck.

"No can do soon-to-be Miss Redfox,"he grinned and tapped on my nose with his index finger.

I cleared my throat and gave him my own toothy grin. "Let me rephrase that, I can still go,"I smirked and was ready to walk out.

"I'm afraid not,Lucy,"Natsu stepped in front of me. "Take her home Gajeel,she's had enough beer from what Lissana described."

"I can go home on my own,"I side stepped him and walked out towards my apartment. "Fuck you!"I shouted gaining a few stares. "Fuck you Gajeel! Fuck you Natsu! Fuck you Sting!, I'm going to chop you dick off for having sex with poor Yukino! You're going to wish you had never even met her!"

"That's exactly why we didn't want you to go,"Gajeel whispered in my ear from behind. "You know... If you really want to fuck me that badly we can make it come true,"he winked.

I flushed red. "Nope. I'm good. Thank you for the offer though,"The beer kicked in."I'm pretty sure Levy wants to fuck you though"

He sighed and looked away. "You had to ruin the moment."

I kept looking straight. "You know, Levy really loves you,"I sighed and looked down.

"And what? You can't always have what you want,"He growled and kept walking besides me silently.

"Yeah I know, but I've seen the way she looks at you,she loves you,"I said.

"What are you trying to say?! That you don't, because if that's it then I will gladly go and fuck her right now,"he shouted at me.

I sighed. "That's not what Im trying to say,it just hurts me watching her break down every time we walk into the guild together,we can't talk without her having to bring you up every minute, I lost my best friend."

"Love comes with a cost,Lucy. She should be happy for us,even if it hurts her,"Gajeel clenched his teeth. "Natsu is happy for you,isn't he?He doesn't come up to me and talk about you every minute. If he can accept we're together even if it kills him on the inside. Why can't she?"

I shrugged. "I guess love blinds you at times. Besides we all know Natsu cares more about friends than a love life. "

"Wrong,"he muttered and made a key with iron for my apartment door. "You just need new friends,"he said bitterly and opened the door.

I stared at him. "Don't choose what type of friends I should have,Gajeel. i don't go choosing your type of friends."

"Then don't let you 'friends' choose your love life, I don't love her. I love you. "he said and closed the door behind me.

I sat on the stairs with my heels at hand. A headache rising. "Damn you Gajeel and your smart ass advice."

Maybe I do need new friends. No. I can't do that. I just need more friends. Gajeel is right.

I placed my heels at the next step and laid down on the first step. "Idiot,"I muttered. "I really need to stop letting Cana persuade me into drinking,"I chuckled. "But god damn,I can express what I'm feeling when Im drunk."

I took out the 3 golden keys and kissed them lightly. Thank you Gajeel.

"Damn it Lucy,why did you have to be so heavy?"A familiar voice whined.

I stirred. "Gajeel,"I muttered hugging the person who was carrying me.

"What I'd give for it to be my name coming out of your lips,"the voice sighed and placed me somewhere comfortable.

I smiled at the warmth recognizing it as my own bed. I tried cracking an eye open,but found it impossible.

The person kissed me right beside my lip and covered me with my blanket. The strong smell of cologne hit my nostrils. I knew who it was.

I stirred a bit more settling down under my pillow. I opened my eyes and just stared at the retreating figure. My face was red still feeling his kiss near my lips.

"Don't add more pain of having to loose another friends,"I muttered closing my eyes.

"Gray. . . "

"I won't. . ."

"Virgo,can you do me a favor?"I spoke to my golden key.

"Bring me a pair of clothes,"I said sheepishly staring at Natsu who had burnt down my drawers because he thought I was being raped by Laxus.

Earlier

"I hate it when it rains,"I muttered stepping out of the shower. "Shit!"I cursed realizing I had forgotten my towel.

I heard shuffling out side. I immediately knew who it was. "Natsu! Get out my house!"I shouted.

He groaned."She found us Happy."

"Aye!"

When I heard the door click closed I sighed in relief and walked out. Lighting sparked and thunder boomed from outside my window. I ran to get my towel and ran back into the bathroom where there was a puddle of water.

"Kyaaaa!"I shouted grasping onto the tub.

"Luce!"Natsu shouted slamming my door open. I smelled something burning from outside. "I knew it!"He shouted. "That lightning had been Laxus, are you okay Luce? Did he rape you?"he slammed the door to this bathroom open. The hinges flew off, the door landing right in front of me.

I stared in horror at what he had done. My room was burnt to crisp, everything except my bed. I breathed in and out taking calming breaths. I smiled quickly hiding the glare that wanted to come out. "No you idiot! That was mother nature!"I shouted and slammed my foot onto his chest.

Couldn't help it.

He sat up rubbing his chest. "You're getting stronger,Luce."

I grinned. "Yep. Gajeel's an awesome trainer."

He smiled. Not his big toothy smile. Just a smile. "I guess."

I scratch the back of my neck. "Well I should get dressed,"I stared at my burnt drawers. "Right,"I sighed.

Present

I looked at Natsu and drew an imaginary line with my index finger over my neck then pointed at him. You a dead man. I mouthed.

He gulped and shook his head grabbing happy and sprinting out of my door.

"Well he's doing some progress,finally walking out the door and in like a normal person"I grinned. A pair of clothes materialized in front of me.

It was a simple pair of clothes consisting of a white tank top,dark Jean, black ankle boots,and a leather jacket. And surprisingly finger less gloves.

"I guess Virgo really loves matching me with Gajeel,"I smiled and threw the clothes on me. I grabbed my keys and walked out my house fixing my broken door so it could at least close before walking to the guild.

I kicked the door open and received a few greetings. I walked straight to the bar where Cana was drinking.

"Well look at you, you are starting to look like a female version of Gajeel, you even earned his anger issues and his gloves,"She grinned handing me a mug filled with beer.

As tempting as it was I declined. "Nope,not right now Cana. I've got some things to take care of"

I sighed and looked down. Tears threathened to come out. I don't need new friends or more friends. I just need to find a man that will be meant just for me.

Deep down I know Gajeel loves Levy. I'm just in the way of their relationship. And besides what's good about having a boyfriend if you can't talk about it with your best friend. I love Gajeel, I really do.

He's been sweet, loving and caring. He's the right guy for Levy. He constantly wants to protect me from everything and even tried banning me from going on mission. I laughed out loud, the guild stared at me.

We had many ups and downs. But that's come to an end. I don't want to loose Levy for good. I need my friend back. Gajeel is not someone who I can talk with when it comes to drama, or fashion. We just weren't meant to be.

I sighed and ripped the mug away from Cana and chugged it down. I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and gave her a thumbs up. "I really needed that."

She grinned. "We all need it at some point."

Then I need it all the time...

I knew he was getting near the guild. No doubt about it. He walked through the door and scanned the guild, his eyes landing on me. Before he could take another step forward I walked up to him and dragged him out the guild towards a quiet spot.

"I need to talk to you,Gajeel,"I spoke firmly, I kept a stern face and looked at him straight in the eyes.

"Look if this is about yesterday,Im so-"

I ignored him and continued talking. "Over the past 10 months, I have had nothing but fun and sweet moment with you, I have seen a side no one has seen of you. You are a sweet and overprotective gentleman, and that's why I have realized we just don't click,we weren't meant to be Gajeel. Just realize that you love Levy already. "I sighed, knowing that a round of tears was making its way to the surface. "I can't continue on with this relationship knowing we weren't meant to be. And that's why from this day forwards. You are a free man. You can do whatever you want with you life. "I began walking into the guild wiping the few tears that had made its way out leaving a shocked Gajeel behind.

"Lucy!-"he shouted.

I closed the door shut not wanting to hear him. I walked up to Cana once more and took one of the barrels from the counter and a mug placing it next to us. "Cheers,"I mumbled and drunk until I could barely stand and realize what I was saying.

"You know, it hurrrsss when you know you can't be with the perrrrrson you looooovvvvveeee"I slurred.

Cana laughed as if she had heard the funniest joke. "Fuckk it, if I love a person... And another thirsty bitch wants them I say... Fuck it. He's mine. "

"I'm not like thhhaaaattt!"I slurred again.

She hugged me while drinking more out of her mug. "There,there,child,its going to be okay"She cooed and poured some of her beer onto my hair accidently.

I looked around the guild with blurred eyes. Gajeel wasn't here. Nor was Natsu, Gray or as a matter of fact half of the guild wasn't here.

"What time is it Mira?"I asked.

She looked at me with tired eyes. "3:54am"

No wonder I was getting sleepy. "Well it looks like I'm staying in here,"I said and continued partying with Cana till 6 am trying to forget about, Gajeel,Gray and Natsu.

I had for sure lost Gajeel. Not so sure about Levy.

For now let the beer take the pain away.

Yep, that's what Cana says.

"Let the pain go away" I mumbled and began falling backwards into pure darkness.

I giggled feeling warmth as I fell into the darkness. "Bye bye"Goodbye,Gajeel,Levy, it was nice having you in my life.
