"You're pretty feisty despite your height,"Gajeel laughed wrapping an arm over my shoulder.

I huffed shoving him away. "You're such a softy despite your looks,"I snickered.

He glared lightly though his lips formed a smirk, and his eyes showed amusement.

"I guess I am,"He admitted and grinned,then kissed my forehead. Then lowering to my ear,"But only for you."

Instead of turning red like I always did,I smirked. "And I'm only feisty for you."

"Just how I like it,"He licked his lips and wiggled his nonexistent brows.

"Get a room!"Natsu shouted from across the guild, a grin taking over half of his face. His arm wrapped around Lucy's shoulders, she was engrossed in a talk with Happy who was sitting on her lap.

I blushed and hid my face on Gajeel's chest. He placed me over his lap and wrapped his arms around my torso. "I would say the same thing to you Natsu, but it seems you don't need none of that seeing as there's another bunny on the way."

I felt jealousy stir in me. I stood up and smiled at Gajeel. "I'm going to the bathroom."

He nodded and kept staring longingly at Lucy. He didn't even notice the fake smile I had forced.

I looked at the reflection in the mirror. My eyes were getting watery. Even after so many years. Gajeel had never gotten over Lucy. They were history now. But I knew he silently wished I was Lucy. Lucy was now pregnant with Natsu's baby. Igneel. Lucy is 8 months now. It's been 9 years since Gajeel and Lucy had been a couple. My best guess was that Lucy had cast a spell on Gajeel. He was hopelessly in love with her. Yet he acted as if he loved me even more than he ever loved her. Worst is I believed him.

I sniffed a couple of times getting rid of the sad feeling that was overpowering me. I took in deep breaths and managed to smile at myself before walking out the bathroom.

"Why are you so quiet!?"I shouted to the guild sitting down next to Gajeel.

The guild smiled before beginning their usual brawls. I stood up once more to grab a drink from the bar. I sat on one of the stools and chatted with Mira keeping an eye on Gajeel.

Mira smiled setting down my strawberry sprinkled water. "How's everything with Gajeel?"she asked.

"It's good, no fighting for a month. I guess thats a good sign,"I chirped sipping my drink.

"Now will you really tell me what going on?"She smiled wider.

I paled and nodded slowly. "Some other time,but how are you and Laxus?"

She blushed. "Good. Really good."

I groaned placing a hand over my red face. "Not sexually Mira."

I ignored Mira as I watched Gajeel walk up to Lucy who was sitting alone because Natsu had left to join the brawl.

I couldn't hear what they were talking about because I didn't have Gajeel's awesome hearing. Instead I just watched the many emotions that crossed Gajeel's face.

Shy. Humor. Joy. Sadness. Embarrassed. Love...

Lucy shook her head before standing and stomping her way out of the guild with one emotion. Anger.

Gajeel was angry as he walked after her. I sighed and looked back at Mira. Who had a look of pity.

"I heard their conversation,I'm sure Natsu heard them too,"She whispered silently and nodded towards Natsu who was making his way out the guild.

"What did they talk about?"I asked quietly playing with the ice cubes in my cup.

"The baby and them,at least that's what Gajeel was talking about."Mira said serving me more sprinkled water.

"What were they saying? Specifically."I asked sipping my sprinkled water.

"Gajeel suggested that he could take care of the baby, he said he could take care of Lucy and love her even more than Natsu could,"Mira said and frowned. "Levy you should really breakup with him, he's just hurting you. Go out with Freed. He's a nice guy."

I shook my head. "He just needs more time,"I sighed. "I really love him, I don't have a choice. My heart leaps every time I hear his name. If they managed to work something out. I'll be happy for Gajeel and Lucy, "I shook as I let tears fall out.

Mira smiled and hugged me from across the counter. "You're too sweet Levy,Gajeel doesn't need any more time. You've been a dating for a year now. Don't you think it's time for him to realize what he has. If he loves you he needs to let Lucy go. "

"That's the problem,"I whispered wiping tears away. "I don't think he loves me."

"Then it's time for you to let him go. Sooner or later he'll realize what he had Levy. "

"No. I-I want to give myself more time. I want to show him that I love him more than Lucy ever did. I want to make him fall in love with me. And I'll make him forget about what Lucy and him ever had. It doesn't matter to me what it takes. Lucy has Natsu. She doesn't love Gajeel anymore. Why can't he just notice that? He has me. "I cried a bit more. The guild had now settled down. Eyes were on me as I cried silently.

"Poor Levy,"I heard many whisper.

"You need to confront him about it Levy,"Mira suggested.

I took in a breath and nodded. "I will, but I need a bit more time to control my emotions."

Mira nodded understanding. Gajeel walked in looking pissed off. His eyes settled on me. "Let's go shrimp,"he ordered.

I looked down. "No."

He didn't seem to like my answer. He grabbed me by the waist and tossed me over his shoulder.

"Let me go Gajeel,"I muttered barely above a whisper. He ignored me and kept walking.

"Let me go Gajeel,"This time I spoke firmly.

He stopped and set me on the ground,"What?"he snarled.

"I need to talk to you,"I said trying not to look away.

"Then spit it out,"he crossed his arms over his chest daring me to open my mouth.

"I'm tired of having to watch you look at Lucy the way I wished you would look at me. She doesn't love you like I do. She has Natsu, she is pregnant with his ba-"

"Shut up,"he glared at me. "If you're so damn tired of having to watch me look at Lucy,then why not make it easy for both of us and break up with me?"

I stared at him. My mouth hanging open. Did he really mean it? "Because I'm in love with you. I don't care how long it takes for you to love me back"

"I'll begin loving you the way you want me too when I go crazy and begin seeing Lucy in you,"Gajeel snarled and shoved me aside and walked out.

I stared at the place where he had stood just 2 seconds ago. Tears falling non-stop. Mira ran to me and hugged me.

"I'm sorry Levy. I-I didn't think he would react that way,"Mira said hugging me tighter.

Gajeel's P. O. V (Earlier)

"I'm going to the bathroom,"Levy smiled and headed to the bathroom.

I sighed setting my mug of beer onto the table. Lucy was sitting by herself watching Natsu fight with a smile on her face.

I growled lightly and continued drinking my beer. Levy walked out and sat next to me. I looked at her from the corner of my eye before once again settling my eyes on Lucy.

Lucy smiled brightly and cheered Natsu on. It's been 9 years since Lucy broke up with me. Yet I still loved her more than myself. She had gotten stronger to the point where she was on par with Erza. She is a brave, beautiful,smart,and strong S-class mage. She had taken over the title of Fairy Tails strongest mage since Erza left 5 years ago to train with Crime Sorciere. She filled the spot perfectly. In my opinion. Even better.

I hadn't even noticed Levy had walked to the bar. I had been so engrossed with my thoughts.

I walked up to Lucy. "Mind if I sit with you?"I asked and placed my hand on the back of my neck rubbing it nervously.

She smiled. "Sure,"she chirped.

I grinned. "I see you're about to pop soon."

She glared lightly and smiled afterwards. "Yep. Just 2 weeks left."

I felt my cheeks burn a bit at her bright smile. "I'm sure he'll be a strong little man,just like his mom."

"Natsu will be very proud of Igneel."Lucy said smiling as she looked at Natsu lovingly.

I looked down a part of me breaking inside. "Yeah... I'm sure he will,"I will be very proud too.

"How's everything with Levy? I heard you two had gotten a bit intimate."She grinned wiggling her brows.

I felt my face burn. I shook my head. "No. Nothing like that. The only person I would ever get intimate with is the person I love."I said and looked at her. I felt my heart beat faster when she smiled.

"Then I'm sure you'll get intimate with Levy soon,"She said oblivious.

"I could be a better father for Igneel,"I blurted.

Lucy looked at me wide eyed. "Don't speak like that Gajeel,Natsu is the father."

"I don't care,I love you Lucy. I love you more than that idiot. I can be a great father. I can be there whenever you need me. "I tell her, pleading with my eyes that she would understand.

"Gajeel,"She spoke sternly. Her S-class voice taking over. "We were over 9 years ago, there is no Us anymore. You have Levy. She doesn't deserve this. I'm sure deep in your heart you lo-"

"I don't. I love you. You don't understand. I want you to be the mother of my children. I want to wake up every morning next to you. I want to grow old with you. I want to see our children grow together"

She shook her head. "I love Natsu,Gajeel."Her eyes softened. "You have to understand,Levy loves you. I don't. "

"I don't want her to love me. I want you to love me!"I spoke a bit louder. Geez I'm starting to sound like a damned creep.

"Well I won't,deal with it. This baby is Natsu's. He'll be the one I grow old with!"Lucy slides her chair back and stomped out the guild.

I clenched my jaw and followed after her. She was making her way to her apartment. I stopped her. "Lucy!"

She turned around. "What do you want Gajeel?"she asked annoyed.

"Please. Understand that I love you. I can't get over you. I know it's been a long time. But I can't help but remember all those times we kissed, we went out on a date. All that cheesy stuff. I love you. "I begged hugging her.

"Gajeel. Don't do this to Levy. Please."She muttered. "She loves you."

I ignored her and kept hugging her.

"Let her go!"Natsu ripped me away from Lucy.

Lucy looked at me and shook her head. There's no us. She mouthed and hugged Natsu. Natsu calmed down and hugged her back.

"Did he hurt you?"Natsu asked Lucy examining her face.

She smiled and shook her head. "No."

"You should leave if you know what's best for you,"Natsu muttered glaring at me.

I laughed and spat."You can have your little whore, I fucked her to many times to count. I got bored."

Score! I wish I really meant it. I didn't want to call her whore. She barely even dated someone. We did have sex. At first that's what I would call it, but her damned sex fucked with my feeling making me feel like the luckiest man on earth. Day by day I would fall even harder for that blonde woman.

I shook my thoughts away and walked back to the guild.

(Present)
I slammed the door to my apartment open startling Pantherlily.

"Where's Levy?"

I growled. "Don't even ask me. If you're so damned worried go to the guild and hang out with her...after all you're the best of friends"

I walked into my kitchen and grabbed a piece of iron and began chewing. Stupid Levy. Who the fuck does she think she is?

I opened the refrigerator looking for food. I saw Lucys favorite fruit. Strawberries. I slammed the door shut. Fuck Levy!,she always bought things that were related to Lucy.

"Is this about Lucy again?"Pantherlily asked. I looked up,he was in his large cat form leaning against the wall.

I shrugged and grabbed my keys before heading out the house to the forest where I could spend some time on my own.

1 week later

I rolled over my bed hoping to find the warmth of Levy's body, but found myself hugging a cold empty space. I sighed and slapped myself.

I stared at the White ceiling and began picturing myself with Levy. I no longer had the memories of Lucy,but instead of Levy. I was beginning to go crazy picturing Levy everywhere.

There was not a day where I wouldn't think of that blue haired short girl. I looked at the picture that was still on my desk. I never thought I would find myself looking at a picture that wasn't of Lucy and I from 9 years ago.

I sat up and stared at the picture a bit longer. I placed the picture back on the desk wishing I had never left Levy like that. I grabbed the picture of Lucy that I had always hid in my drawer and kissed it lightly. There is no us. I repeated in my head. I had to forget the blonde. I walked to the bathroom and ripped the picture apart tossing it to the trash can.

I dressed myself in my usual clothes and walked out the house preparing myself to apologize to Levy and Lucy.

I walked into the guild,Levy brushing past me and out the guild.

Levy's P. O. V
I walked towards Gajeels home and knocked on the door. Pantherlily opened the door.

"I came to get my things,"I said and walked past him up to Gajeel's room.

I opened my bag and began packing ignoring the comfortable feeling of home the apartment gave me.

I walked back down half an hour later. "How has Gajeel been?"I asked silently to Lily.

"He's not doing so good,just today he finally decided to walk to the guild."Lily said sadly and continued chopping his kiwis.

"Oh. Well I hope he get better."I muttered and opened the door. I dropped my bags once I came face to face with Gajeel.

He walked in and grabbed the bags taking them back up to his room.

"Wha-what are you doing?"I asked and followed him up the stairs.

He stopped once he was inside. "I am going crazy,but instead of seeing Lucy in you, I'm seeing you in everyone."he said and hugged me. "I know I have hurt you so many times Levy,and I'm willing to change. Just don't leave me. I promise I will forget Lucy. I will look at you the way you want me to look at you,I will love you even more than I ever loved Lucy."

I stared at his chest wondering if I had heard right. I looked up at him. "Do you promise?"I felt my voice begin to crack. My eyes were now watery.

He brought his lips down to my own. "I promise"
