The three young Eevees were roughly dropped on the ground by Pyro, Sparky and Natsuko in front of a pair of blood red eyes staring at them in the forest. A dark shadowy figure made completely of a dark shadow substance stepped out of the darkness. The eyes turning a strangely friendly blue.

"Hello young ones! I can sense the power coursing through your veins. I have been waiting for this for quite some time. I am known as the Dark One." He spoke.

The three Eevees didn't say a single word, they just stared with wide fearful eyes and trembled in fear.

"Hmmm... I thought you three were so high and mighty with the power. Looks like a bunch of filthy cowards to me. But... I wouldn't blame you. I am terrifying! You three insolent little pests will not stand in my way no longer. It is time you join me. I will be your rightful ruler from now on." The shadow Eeveelution then raised a paw and was about to touch the three Eevees to corrupt them with darkness.

They tried to back away but Pyro, Sparky and Natsuko kept them from going anywhere by pushing them forward.

"No! Please!! Leave us alone!!" They screamed.

Their screams were heard by Faith, Zeka and the spirits who were nearby, following the scents of Destiny, Charity, and Justice.

"We got to hurry. I feel that the young Vees are in grave danger! The Dark One must be trying to corrupt them with dark power." Clairvoya said.

"That would explain the screams. It must be them. They sound frightened!" Zeka replied in worry.

"Let's pick up the pace then!" Faith told them as she used Quick Attack.

Meanwhile with the three Power Eevees—Justice, Destiny and Charity— were forcefully touched by the Dark One's shadow aura as it easily corrupted the young Pokémon's body with shadow and darkness. The doors to their hearts closed by the corruption of the Shadow Synergy Stone.

"Ahhhhh!!!" The last of the Eevees screams were heard across the forest before their minds drifted into the power of darkness. Now transformed into Shadow Pokémon. Enslaved by the dark one and forced to join the Shadow Pokémon Army against their own wills.

The Great War of Shadow Pokémon will soon begin...

Once Faith, Zeka and the spirits arrived, they gasped upon what they saw. The three Eevees all had the presence of the dark aura within them. They were too late.

"No!! W- we have to help them!" Faith gasped.

"We can still save them. There is a way for them to go back to normal. We will just need to beat them first. We must be careful and stay vigilant. Never let your guard down!" Sakura explained.

"Got it!" Faith and Zeka nodded in understanding.

"Good! We will help you." The Eeveelution heroes spirits spoke before their eyes glowed and an aura of their colors surrounded them. They were raised up in the air and a huge rainbow ray engulfed Faith and Zeka with strength. They felt their Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed raise sharply.

"Let's do this!" They said in unison with confidence.

The Dark One approached them with his army of Shadow Pokémon behind him at the ready.

"You really think you can defeat me? You are a persistent pair. You may try but you won't succeed. It is time to take my rightful place as the supreme ruler of your village. It will be my empire of the mighty Shadow Pokémon!!"

"Not if we can help it!" Faith replied boldly.

"Let's begin this battle then... Let the winner take all. And I will assure you my team will be victorious. Charge my Shadow Pokémon subjects!!" The Dark One ordered. "Make me proud!! Do not fail me!!"

The three young Eevees approached them and growled at Faith and Zeka in hatred. The dark aura surrounded them, causing their stats to raise too.

Destiny transformed into a Shadow form of Espeon. She used Shadow Wave. Both Faith and Zeka both dodged the attack with the use of their raised speed, making it easy to avoid.

Destiny growled in anger for her attack missing.

Faith used a Shadow Ball to attack Destiny with. It managed to hit her with a critical hit.

Charity evolved into a Leafeon and used Shadow Rush. She ran towards Zeka but she quickly used Iron Tail to knock her back.

Justice evolved into Flareon and used Shadow Fire on Faith. She was unable to dodge as she was engraved by the Shadowy Fire attack. It was similar to a Flamethrower but had a shadowy aura in it.

Faith screamed in pain before trying to shake the burning pain off.

"Faith, are you alright?" Zeka asked with concern.

"Don't worry I'm fine. It will take more than one move to take me down."

From that statement, the three young shadow Pokémon with the power grinned deviously. Charity transformed into a Shadow Glaceon and charged a Shadow Chill attack. Destiny transformed into a Shadow Espeon and charged a Shadow Wave. Justice transformed into a Shadow Jolteon and charged a Shadow Bolt attack. All at once the three of them used the attacks and headed for Faith.

Surprisingly all managed to hit and she was knocked out.

"No!! That's not fair!!"

The three Shadow Eeveelutions de-evolved back into Shadow Eevees and laughed. "Too bad! Now there is only one left. What will you do without the help of the Master of Eeveelutions?!" They teased.

The final words of the full prophecy reached Clairvoya and Sakura's minds. Darkness will take control and the one left is their last hope. When Hope fails. All is lost. Only if Hope finds help is when it will be stopped until Darkness rises again.

The prophecy meant that Zeka was their last hope. She was the last one standing against the Dark One and his army of evil. She must find help to stop the darkness because if she fails, darkness would win the war and the Dark One would finally get what he wanted at last. Nothing would be able to stop him and every Eevee territory would be conquered. Zeka would never want that to happen. She was here for a reason. She had an important mission and she would win at the end.

Zeka knew that she had the Evo-Switch ability and her own super strength ability she had from birth. Although her version of the power was weaker than Faith's she could still get the advantage to stop them.

Zeka was determined to win this fight. She must for the sake of the Eevee territories and her family and friends. She was the last hope for them all.

Zeka transformed into a Sylveon and used Dazzling Gleam on the young Shadow Eeveelutions in front of her. It even hit Natsuko, Pyro, Sparky and the Dark One himself.

The Dark One growled. "Although the power within you is weaker, you are still strong but don't think that you will win. You must have forgotten that I am the King of the Shadows. There can only be one true ruler and I am the only one worthy enough to be the king. Now it's time to finish this fight once and for all."

Three dozen pair of blood red eyes stared at Zeka through the darkness of the forest. "Darkness shall take control. No one shall stand in our way. You will all fall. Hope must die. Faith has taken its own fate. Soon the Oblivion Empire will finally become a reality. The Shadow Pokémon shall even gain victory on the strongest legendaries. Even the Mighty Arceus. Once Arceus dies, nothing will stand in our way no longer. The universe will belong to us!!" The dark voices of the shadow Pokémon cried. "Evil will rise. While Heroes fall."

"No!! That will not happen!! You are wrong!!" Zeka shouted. "Light always defeats darkness. Light always wins at the end."

"Not this time it won't! You dare challenge me?" The Dark One growled.

"Yes I do! I will fight for this world with my life."

"Ugh..." the Dark One groaned in disgust. "You heroes are so annoying. Why don't you ever give up?"

"Because that's what we do." Zeka replied. "Of course you wouldn't understand you-"

"Enough talk..." The Dark One growled. "We finish this now!"

The Dark One used Dark Pulse. Zeka dodged it and evolved into a Jolteon. She used Thunder. It managed to hit the Dark One, striking him with a strong bolt of electricity.

It seemed to have angered the dark one more. He used Shadow Rush. Zeka barely dodged it but then used Electro Ball. The Dark One countered it with an oversized Shadow Ball.

The attack was too difficult to dodge for Zeka as she wasn't fast enough. She was grazed by the attack. She collapsed to the ground in pain.

"Surrender now!! Eeveeville shall belong to me!!" The Dark One roared.

Zeka struggled to stand back up. "Never!!" She defied him to his surprise.

"Then you must die, you little nuisance!!" The Dark One charged another Shadow Ball, double the size of the other one. However, Zeka was not afraid at all. It didn't seem like the dark one knew of her second special ability—Super Strength. She transformed into a Leafeon and used Iron Tail, easily hitting it back to the Dark One, hitting him with his own move.

"How did you manage to do that?! There is no way you could possibly have that much strength to withstand that attack?!" The Dark One said in shock.

Zeka grinned. "A normal Pokémon wouldn't be able to. However, I am different. Far more different than you may think I am." She told him.

"Grrr... I will still persevere. Even if I have to take brute force to get what I want! Let's show them what Shadow Pokémon can do. Let's see how strong the Legendary Zeka truly is!"

Many different Shadow Pokémon, Natsuko, Pyro, Sparky, Justice, Destiny, Charity and the Dark One all started to charge their attacks at once. They were beginning to approach Zeka on all sides.

Zeka gulped in fear. The Dark One noticed. "Not so confident in your skills now, huh?! I possess more power than you could ever have. No one can defeat me. You may try but it will bring a dire fate ahead of you. Even Faith the Eevee couldn't overcome my power. Prepare to die, Zeka!"

The attacks were released at the same time. Zeka closed her eyes, waiting for the painful impact of the attacks. But... something unexpected happened. Something she didn't expect.

"Enough!! Don't you think that is a little too overboard for a young child?! You have some nerve doing such a thing?!" A  kind feminine voice spoke.

A white light appeared out of no where. Blinding Zeka and making the Dark One and the Shadow Pokémon hiss and back away.

"That voice... It can't be..." The Dark One gasped.

"I've seen enough of this fight. It has gone long enough..."

Once the bright light subsided and Zeka's vision returned to her, she gasped at what she saw. An Eevee spirit with different colored jewels in her beige scruff and a necklace with a prism jewel around her neck.

"Prism.... It has been way too long since I've last seen you... Queen of the Eeveelutions..."

"Drake... Oh Drake..." Prism sighed in disappointment. "Why did everything have to take quite a dark turn in your life? Why did you take the form of this foul beast you call the Dark One? Why did it have to come to this? I thought your life was great. Then... you became this... and for what? So you could become leader. Rule over a family of Pokémon? I never thought you would take this path in life. It's devastating to see who I thought was a friend turn into a fearful monster like this. It is a disgrace. How can you not see why you were exiled from Eeveeville and never became a leader? The way you acted is the reason. You made Envy take over and now that sin has permanently corrupted your entire life. It changed you Drake..."

The Dark One snarled. "Do not call me that... I do not live by that name anymore..." his eyes then turned blood red. "I am the most dangerous... most fearful creature in the world... THE DARK ONE!!!" He boomed in a dark menacing voice.

"You weren't always the Dark One and you know that" Prism told him.

"Do you remember your Umbreon brother, Obsidian?"

The Dark One snarled. "Do not speak about my stupid brother! He's dead now anyways."

"And why is he dead?"

"Because I killed him. He wouldn't give me the village so I ended his life and his Espeon wife, Claire, too. But instead of me being leader, I was stopped by an Espeon with a broken gem, Mystic, and her Umbreon husband, Orfeo who wasn't even originally from Eeveeville. He was from Eevee Hollow." The Dark One explained.

Zeka couldn't help but overhear the conversation. "Claire? How come that name is so close to Clairvoya?" She thought curiously.

"And..."

"And what?"

"The truth about Nightlight and Darklight..." Prism muttered.

From this statement, Darklight's ears perked in alarm by the sound of his name.

"How I was their original parent but abandoned them? It was only a scheme to maybe have one of them become leader, that way they could fork it over to me but my plan didn't work. I was close with Nightlight but he was selfish enough to keep it until he soon lost his sanity too. Clairvoya made him soft until he killed her. Honestly, I was proud to be Nightlight's father while Darklight was a disgrace to me."

Darklight seemed surprised by this. "No! I cannot be the son of a monster like you!! My parents were Mystic and Orfeo, they adopted me and loved me. Like a true parent would. You may be my actual father but I do not see you as my parent and I never will!!" The Umbreon spirit vanished in midair from the place.

"Good riddance!!" The Dark One howled.

"I'll go talk to him... maybe it will help him calm down." Clairvoya said before vanishing as well.

"Where did they go now?!" Nova groaned in annoyance.

"Probably to Arceus's realm to try to relax. They should be back again soon" Sakura answered.

"Do you think that was a little bit too harsh when you say it that way?!" Prism sighed.

"No! You should know the truth hurts sometimes. How is telling the truth all the time even good? Anyways, I want to take Eeveeville and make it my new bigger and better empire for the Shadow Pokémon kind."

"Sorry but I won't let that happen, Drake." Zeka spoke up.

The Dark One growled in anger. "DO NOT CALL ME THAT!!!" The Dark One used Dark Pulse.

Zeka dodged it.

"Zeka, I will help you and so will a special friend of mine that I brought with me from the village. Autumn, you can come out." Prism replied.

The injured Shiny Leafeon Faith helped out and was now fully healed stepped out. "Let's do this!" She replied.

"So this is the help the prophecy spoke of." Zeka said out loud to herself.

"Let's do this for the sake of Eeveeville and all the other Eevee Territories."

Finally managed to update this again. I was thinking about finished this with 20 or so parts but I can't do that if I don't want this chapter to be 5000-10,000 words. Hope you enjoyed. More is coming... It really has been a while since I've updated.

So this chapter showed the dark one's true form and had some references to Shattered Inside as well. I will try to have one or two more parts left in this story before it's finished.
