Edric sat alone in his room, an annoyed scowl on his face. His family members had all found reasons to not be in Blight Manor, all except him. Being as social as he was, this caused quite a bored dilemma. He had no one to prank, no one to talk to, nothing to occupy his mind. Nothing except the fact he was bored. Or so he thought.

His scroll dinged with importance, shooting him out of his trance. It also quickly removed that scowl. Frantically he opened his scroll, finding the notification to be a message. Finally something to do, he thought. It was a message from you, something he hadn't expected. You had invited him over because you were bored too. He replied to your message and took his sister's palisman. Making sure to tell Amity why her palismen was missing, he flew off to the owl house.

{Time Skip}

Knocking echoed on the door of the owl house, causing a certain house owl to wriggle out to the unexpecting visitor.

"Hooty hoot hoot! Hiya, Blight boy!" Hooty screeched.

"Uh Hi Hooty," Edric replied. Hooty stretched to the upstairs of the owl house.

"Y/n you have a guest~" He taunted. Edric snickered at Hooty's wriggly attitude. Stopping snickering only to attempt to listen to the muffled talking between you and Hooty from upstairs. The door opened shortly, Hooty moving back from your room to look at Edric. You stood at the door, smiling at the boy in front of you, who couldn't hold back from smiling too.

"Oooo-" Hooty started, quickly being silenced by you.

"Why don't you come inside," You stepped out of the way to let Edric in. He noticed a tinge of nervousness in your voice but didn't give a second thought and walked inside. After stepping inside, he heard you make a disgusted sound. He turned to see Hooty had licked your hand when you had covered Hooty's mouth. You wiped Hooty's slobber off and walked inside as if nothing had happened.

{Small Time Skip}

You and Edric were sitting peacefully together on your bed. However the peace didn't last as long as you hoped. Being a creature of chaos, Hooty made his way back up to your room. You thought nothing of it at first, continuing to scroll through social media with Edric. That was until Hooty stretched under your bed, pulling out a notebook. Recognizing that notebook, your eyes widened. Hooty wouldn't, would he? Oh yes he would. You quickly sprang into action as Hooty flipped through the pages. Sitting alone now, Edric watched in confusion. Why were you so protective over a notebook? Maybe it had something important in it. But Hooty wasn't destroying it, only flipping through it, like a magazine. Then he saw it.

Edric went red as Hooty continued to flip through more and more drawings. You scrambled to take it away from Hooty, more frantic than before as Hooty had essentially shown off your secret. At this point in time, most of the faces in the room were red, except for Hooty, who had quite the devious smile.

Finally getting Hooty out of the room, you closed and locked the window, only now realizing Edric probably saw what was in that notebook. Freezing in place, you didn't dare to turn to Edric. Lucky for you, you didn't have to turn for him to come to you.

Edric slowly walked over and picked up the notebook, quietly flipping through the drawings. The only sound in the room was the pages turning. Like the pages, you turned, only to see Edric sitting on the floor.

"You drew these?" He suddenly spoke up. You nodded. It was almost as if you felt speaking would break something, you weren't quite sure what though. Edric continued to stare at the drawings in awe.

"I look good," He blurted. You burst out laughing, a sound that got rid of all the tension in the room. Even Edric laughed a bit. He wasn't even intending to be funny at that moment. After the sudden burst of laughter, he closed the notebook and handed it back to you, almost as if that whole situation didn't happen at all.

"You're not even gonna question the notebook at all?" You asked.

"Why would I? That's your own business, all I know is you've drawn me.. a lot," He replied. Giving him a small smile, you walked back over to your bed and sat down. Edric follows suit, sitting next to you.

You stole a quick glance at him, noticing he was looking at you. Getting embarrassed, you looked away. Edric fake coughed, gaining your attention. He then fake yawned, stretching his arm very cheesily around your waist. Taking the hint, you snuggled into him. Apparently he wasn't expecting that since he froze up for a moment. It was so brief that had you not been paying attention to his body language you might not have noticed it.

Glances weren't the only thing you two were stealing from each other. Making sure Edric wasn't paying attention, you quickly kissed him on the lips.

Faking being offended, Edric looked at you. "I thought I'd be the one to kiss you first!" He exaggerated. You smiled and leaned your head on his shoulder. Staying quiet for a bit, a question popped into your mind.

"So.. what does this make us..?" You turned to look up at Edric. He paused for a moment, his mind running through answers to this question. Only one conclusion sounded right.

"I guess it makes you my girlfriend," He answered. His girlfriend. I like the sound of that, you thought.

"I think I do too," Edric hummed, leaning his head on yours. It took you a second to register what had happened, but when you did you turned red. You realized you said that out loud, that and the fact the one and only Edric Blight was leaning on you.

"Hoooo~" Hooty had somehow managed to get back into your room through the window.

"Hooty!" You threw a pillow at him. Making a sound between screeching and saying ow, Hooty started to chant for you to kiss. A loud thump was heard from downstairs. You had gotten distracted with the noise, and Edric took that opportunity to do what Hooty had been requesting. Gently pulling your chin towards him, he kissed you. He kissed you.

A series of aw's were heard from the doorway, which had pulled you out of the moment. Edric pulled back, peering over your head to see who or what had made that sound. Looking over to the door yourself, you had recognized 3 faces: Eda, Luz, and King. Eda and Luz were the ones who had made aw's along with Hooty. Whereas King seemed a little bit over it. He was quite tired of the lovey dovey stuff in his house and the fact he wasn't the center of attention. They seemed stunned somehow, not moving and watching the two new lovers.

Edric looked over at you, "Come on let's go somewhere we're not being watched, love."

"Okay dove," you replied. He scooped you up, bringing you to Ghost, his sister's palismen. He situated you in his arms before taking off to Blight Manor.

"Aww they're already giving each other pet names," Luz gushed.

"I wanna follow them!" Hooty watched as you and Edric flew off.

"I think it's best we leave them be Hooty," Eda piped up.
