Father's day

Tony hated father's day.

Did he dare call his father a jerk?

Yes.

He absolutely did, his father was a complete jerk, and more than anything, he just wanted to spend the day with Peter, knowing that the poor kid had to hate it too. After stopping by Aunt May, he'd followed Peter's tracks to the graveyard where he noticed the boy sitting on his own in front of a black stone, quietly talking to it.

"You once said I shouldn't be upset about father's day after you died," he heard Peter say as he quietly neared him from behind.

"I'd just give my gift to my father-figure. But, now Uncle Ben's dead, too, and... And I'm..." Peter's voice turned into a mess as the tears started rolling, and Tony couldn't bear hearing it.

"Hey kid," he greeted with a soothing voice as he sat down next to him, not caring about his Prada pants he was wearing.

"Oh, h-hey, mr Stark," Peter replied, quickly drying his tears off.

"I figured you might be here," Tony admitted calmly. Peter nodded.

"You're supposed to be with your father figure. It's father's day," Peter mentioned sadly.

"I know. But it's gonna start raining soon," Tony pointed out, looking up at the grey clouds.

"I don't care," was the mutter he got as response. Tony sighed quietly.

"Why don't you come to the tower with me, kid? We'll hang out, just us," he suggested, putting an arm around Peter's shoulders.

"Okay," Peter sniffed, getting up with the support from Tony.

"Hey, what's that?" Tony asked curiously when he noticed the thing in Peter's hands.

"O-Oh, t-this? It was ju-just-""Lemme see," Tony interrupted, grabbing the mug and looking at it before feeling a part of his heart break for the poor kid.

"You bought this for your dad?" he asked quietly.

"I - I bought it for you, mr Stark. But you don't have to use it!" Peter quickly mentioned to Tony, who smiled proudly.

"This is my new favourite mug. I don't think I'll ever drink coffee from anything else again," Tony said with an honest smile as he looked at the mug.

World Best Dad was written on it with big letters.

You guys are amazing. I make a post, expecting no response what so ever, and you're more supportive than I'd ever expect.
Checking wattpad has become routine because it always helps when I read a comment or look through the new votes, and I honestly cannot express how thankful I am for you cheering me up and helping me like this, even though I'm a complete stranger and mean nothing to you. It's amazing, and I wanted to say thank you for it.
You guys are amazing - don't forget that❤️
