A few days later...

???: "Sakura, are you okay?"

A girl with dark brown, braided hair, orange flower hairpin, darkened skin, magenta shirt with aquamarine lightning, dark grey shorts, lavender sneakers with light blue laces, and shin high, black socks startles Sakura into reality as a bell rings.

Sakura: "S-Sorry Emma!"

Johnny: "So you say that you've known each other for a while?"

Emma: "Come on, we're walking over to my place so your dad can pick you up later."

Emma pulls Sakura to her feet.

Johnny: "My question?"

Sakura: "(in head) Yes, if there was a single person who would have the trait, it's her."

The two hurry through hallways until they arrive outside of Dale Middle School.

Emma: "I'm still sorry about that kid who died in that bus accident."

Johnny: "And thankfully people acknowledge the fact that I got screwed over."

Sakura: "I-It was quite the shock."

They begin hurrying down the deadly streets.

Emma: "And thankfully your injuries were surprisingly minimal."

They arrive at a crossroad of fate.

Johnny: "Luckily you could pull my ass out of that."

Emma looks both ways, only to see a large truck spinning out of control and veering towards them.

Emma: "Look out!"

Sakura only just notices as the truck is about twenty seconds from impact.

Sakura: "Wh-What?!"

Sakura tries to get out of the way, but she trips over a crack in the sidewalk.

Johnny: "We're screwed already?!"

Emma leaps and shoves Sakura out of the way.

Sakura: "E-Emma!"

The truck slams into Emma, sending her flying into the sky.

Johnny: "She just saved our asses!"

Her ragdoll body lands on the edge of a sidewalk diagonally from where Sakura stands.

Sakura: "Who would just-"

The driver of the truck has a bullet wound in his head.

Johnny: "Well that's a pretty sight."

Sakura looks towards the lifeless Emma.

Sakura: "(tearing up) I... I never gave her the message."

Johnny: "We need to take the dive now!"

Sakura: "(darkly) Zero Fiction."

Time begins to slow down as her spear forms in her hands.

Sakura: "(darkly) You'll pay."

Soldiers completely surround Sakura.

Johnny: "Then let them have it!"

A hazy aura forms around Sakura's spear.

Sakura: "I promise."

Sakura initiates combat.

Meanwhile...

Emma: "(drowsy) Sakura..."

Emma is floating in the abyss.

Emma: "All I remember is..."

She remembers how her body was treated like a baby and a toy.

Emma: "Did I at least save you?"

She looks around the area.

Emma: "Where do I-"

A girl is running for her life from three Soldiers.

Girl: "Stop chasing me!"

A single look at the situation fills Emma with dread.

Emma: "(terrified) This is... death?"

Emma runs after the girl.

Emma: "Hey!"

Girl: "Wh-Who're you?"

Emma reaches out towards her.

Emma: "Take my hand and follow my lead!"

The girl alters course and heads towards Emma.

Girl: "O-Okay!"

The two grab hands as the Soldiers look in fear.

Emma: "Why're they-"

A bronze light forms from their connection.

Girl: "Wh-What's this light?!"

Emma: "I... I don't know."

The two vanish in the light.

Meanwhile...

Johnny: "Nice!"

Sakura is holding her own against the Soldiers, but they just keep coming.

Sakura: "But... we won't last forever."

Meanwhile...

Emma: "(drowsy) Am I...?"

Emma awakens on the curb in excruciating pain.

???: "Ouch!"

The ghost of the girl floats above Emma.

Emma: "Did we come back?"

Girl: "But I'm stuck like this!"

Time begins to slow down.

Emma: "My name is Emma Skysilver."

Haley: "It's Haley Upside."

They soon find themselves on Sakura's battlefield.

Haley: "And these guys again?!"

Brown, earth covered gauntlets surround Emma's fists.

Emma: "But what're they fighting?"

Emma gets onto her feet as a Soldier heads her way.

Haley: "Watch out!"

Emma sends the Soldier flying into the sky with a single punch.

Emma: "Did I just do that?!"

More Soldiers head her way.

Haley: "Win in a single punch!"

Emma slams her way through the competition as Sakura and Johnny look in their direction, but unable to see them.

Johnny: "Who the hell is that?"

Sakura doesn't need to see her face to know who it is.

Sakura: "Emma!"

Emma makes her way to the center with Sakura.

Emma: "Sakura?!"

Haley: "You know each other?"

Not many Soldiers remain.

Emma: "What's going on Sakura?"

Johnny: "We'll give you a long winded explanation when our heads aren't on tonight's menu!"

The two are back to back.

Haley: "This makes no sense!"

Sakura: "I thought the same thing."

Sakura's aura surrounds half of the Soldiers' skulls.

Emma: "I'll keep my faith in you Sakura!"

A sand storm begins to kick up.

Johnny: "Then you won't be disappointed!"

The half with the aura have their heads explode.

Sakura: "My dad can help us explain."

The sand storm grows so strong that the other half are sent flying into the air before shattering upon contact with the ground.

Haley: "Someone had better!"

They soon find themselves at the crossroads.

Johnny: "I'll try and give you a summary in the meantime."

They head towards Emma's...
