when miracles make headlines.
Later that evening, lord Shiva arrived with groceries. And by the looks of the bag, the deities became curious.
"Ohh, what is this, Trilochan?" Vishnu's face lit up.
"Like the whole grocery in one bag." Buddha remarked.
"Just a few snacks. And ready-made food."
"Like cup noodles?" Jesus asks.
"Yep!" Shiva replies. "You know, friends. I saw someone with a tattoo of my face. So when he turned, I had to hide before my disguise become compromised."
"Hmm, really tough."
"But speaking of groceries." Vishnu added. "Soon is Christmas celebrations."
"Christmas." Jesus looked up from his magazine again.
"Um....just to say that the grocery will be busy." Vishnu changes his speech. "So good luck Mahadev. *Wink*"
"Oh my friends! I'm sensing something." Buddha added.
"I don't get you all." Jesus chuckled. "I'm just going to say that Christmas is one of my best seasons."
"Hmm, we know why."
"Well friends, if you three want to let something out, I will just go to do some stuff." Jesus states. "I have to organise my room."
When Jesus exited, Shiva, Buddha and Vishnu gave each other a smile.
"Narayan we should surprise him." Buddha suggests. "He's one of our sweet friends."
"Yes. We'll plan later in the month." Vishnu smiled.
"But what uphaar would Jesus like?" Shiva asked. "He doesn't ask for much."
"Soon it will come to us!" Vishnu positively suggests.
"I think he would like a group painting." Buddha said.
"True."
"For Janmashtami and Ram Navami, I love to spend time with my devotees." Vishnu stated. "Maybe Jesus loves the same."
"So we would kidnap his devotees and bring them here!" Shiva said humorously.
"Oh Prabhu no." Vishnu laughed.
"We will definitely find out." Shiva adds. "Now let's watch some television over potato chips."
"The news seem thrilling." Buddha remarked. "We should be aware of the country's events."
"You're right."
Now Vishnu emptied the potato chips in a bowl, while Shiva turned on the tv. Then when they took their share of potato chips, a forth hand appeared.
"Arre, Jesus."
"What are you watching?"
"The news." Vishnu replied.
"Oh."
Soon after, they became bombarded by the headlines.
A country full of miracles?? Projected across the screne, till the reporter came on, and began to discus.
"Miracles?" The deities looked at each other.
"Today three unexplainable events happened, which makes us question if our country is a country filled with miracles? Or was it just a 'divine' coincidence." She spoke. "I'm Lisa Blain, with your news report."
"But we have disguised ourselves this whole time." Shiva said.
"How can a miracle happen, when we didn't do anything."
"Earlier today, during a yatra, a woman told the media that her butter pot were miraculously filled with genda flowers." The reporter said. "Now one of our journalists are interviewing the woman."
"Oh my." Vishnu covered his mouth.
"Ma'am, tell us what happened?" The journalist asks.
"Yes." She had tears in her eyes. "This young man h-had eaten the pot of homemade butter that I was going to offer to lord Krishna. But then when he left, the pot was filled w...with genda flowers."
"Amazing. Just amazing."
"Where is he? I- I want to worship him. He's non other than lord Krishna."
"I couldn't help myself. I must bless my devotees." Vishnu glowed with a divine light. "Now she wishes to meet me! Then Avashya."
"That's not all." The reporter began. "At a religious gift shop, a passerby had noticed a shopper with something that looks like stigmata. He further described that the shopper's hands were bleeding profusely."
"Yes. It was as if he was cut by something sharp." The man explained. "I had wiped his hands. But then when I was going to throw the wipes, I saw something unusual. It was a face!"
"A face?!"
"See, I took a picture. Does that face look familiar."
"Waw!!! It looks like the face of Jesus. We should run some DNA tests to see."
"If they find out about me, I would end up in a cathedral." Jesus thought. "I'll destroy the napkin."
"A few Buddhist people had waken up to see a fully blossomed tree! How miraculous."
"I think we all have to be careful next time." Vishnu chuckled.
"Yep."
"Agreed." The three said.
"I wonder what else Ashutosh had bought in the grocery." Jesus adds.
"Truee!" Vishnu agreed. "Let's see."
Afterwards the three looked into the grocery bags to see biryani ingredients, some magazines and a tub of ice cream.
"Bhavnath!" Vishnu looked up with his famous Vittala smile. "So many ingredients? Is this some leela?"
"Panduranga, while journeying back home, many of our children devotees were selling on the streets in order to get money" Shiva's smile vanished. "I can't see them starving due to poverty. The only place they are staying is in a rundown orphanage."
"Oh my!"
"So I thought of making some vege biryani for them." Shiva says.
"That's right. And we will help you, Bhavnath." Jesus said.
"Certainly." Buddha agrees.
"Thank you all." Shiva said.
"This will definitely benefit them." Vishnu added.
"Yes. It's like when Sudama gave you pauwra rice and soon became abundant." Jesus told Vishnu.
"Definitely!"
"You know, we should rest." Vishnu said. "Tomorrow is the second day of school for us."
"Sure, I need to meditate." Buddha added.
"I do too." Shiva agreed.
"Want to discuss meditation me then?! We will have a session." Buddha asks.
"That will be so great. I can tell you all about kriya." Shiva smiles.
"Creation. Very beautiful." Buddha remarked.
"Your followers mainly use Buddha Malas for meditation right?"
"Yes Mahadev. And yours use Rudraksh malas."
"Correct."
When Buddha and Shiva went off to meditate, the other two deities went to rest in their rooms. Moreover Jesus decided to remove his plush mattress, and just spread a sheet on the bare base of the bed- which was made up with ply board. Even before, he didn't like luxurious living, and he wished to continue that way.
On the other side, Sheshnag appeared in front of Vishnu, and bowed to his feet.
"Greetings my lord."
"Kalyan hok." Narayan smiles.
"Lord, this bed looks uncomfortable. Let me give you a proper bed."
"Shesha, don't worry. It's fine." Vishnu says.
"But Prabhu."
"During vanvaas in my Ram avatar, I had slept on a hay mat. And even in my Srinavasa avatar, I had no sleep at all. Endurance is always temporary." Vishnu glowed.
"As you wish, holy one." Shesha bowed. "But should I ask Narada and Tumbaru to sing your praises in the morning?"
"No need. I'm fine. But thank you for expressing concern."
"Yes lord. Shall I take your leave?"
"Sure Sheshnag."
