a Friendly dinner.

After a successful day, the deities were celebrating over ice cream while they chat about the encounters. And as the state fair was postponed to next weekened, the major divinities decided that they would cook for the orphans tomorrow.
"Narayan, isn't ice cream the tastiest." Jesus remarks.
"Yes! I really enjoy it." Narayan replied.
"Our devotees are so lucky." Shiva adds.
"Greatest creation." Buddha adds. "But why did they put off the fair though. Didn't Meena tell you?"
"No. Anyways we could cook tomorrow." Shiva said. "For the orphans."
"Yes!"
"I find this week passed by quickly. And easily." Vishnu stated.
"True." They agreed.
"You know, I'm happy that our campus house is away from the actual campus. So when other celestial beings want to visit us, no one will know." Shiva stated.
"Yea." Jesus said. "I forgot to tell you all that I have been invited to have dinner with my friend and her family. So I'll be out later."
"Ohh cool. Well you're accustomed to that."
"Well, we will be at home. Not planning something special."
"I see."
"Want to watch some movies?" Vishnu suggests. "We have Netflix now."
"Of course!"
"I'll pop some popcorn." Jesus suggests. "We had too much potato chips."
"Make sure it's the butter flavour, Jesus." Vishnu states.
"Of course Krishna. I know your love for butter."
"And I know your love for salt." Vishnu happily glanced. "Since you said that your people are the salt of the earth."
"Oh I see." Jesus laughed. "You know! Well I will be back."

"What will we watch." Shiva wonders while flipping through the movie options.
"We should watch a series." Vishnu said.
"Yes!" Buddha agreed.
"There's Kundali Bhagya." Shiva adds.
"No. Oh, look Kumkum Bhagya."
"Narayan, that show was going on since your Matsya incarnation." Shiva said.
"Hmm, since my Padmanabham state." Vishnu chuckled.
(The Padmanabham state is the leela when Brahma emerged from the lotus that came from lord Vishnu's navel. A.k.a before creation.)
"Let's settle for some Shakti." Buddha suggests. "It has a nice storyline."
"Yes! Shakti Ek Esaas Ki."
"Ok deities. I'm back." Jesus entered. "It has a lot of butter, don't worry."
"Good."
"Found something?" Jesus asks.
"Oh yes."

Hereafter the deities started watching their serial while eating popcorn, then they started discussing Bollywood and small screen actors and actresses.
"What do you find about Salman Khan." Vishnu asks. "Isn't his acting superb?!"
"Of course." Buddha remarked. "When I'm not meditating I look at his movies from heaven."
"I like Hritik's acting." Jesus replied.
"Yea."
"I think everyone here watched these actors while looking down from heaven." Vishnu chuckled. "In your free time."
"Yes Hari. Yet I'm always in Samadhi." Shiva said.
"And what about the actors who portrayed us." Narayan asks.
"All are good." Shiva remarked. "I'm very pleased! Mohit Raina was superb, and so as Malkhan Singh."
"Oh yes. I'm appreciated with Nitish Bhardwaj. And also Arun Govil." Vishnu added. "Vishal Karwal."
"Himanshu Soni is always very superb in portraying me. But then he portrayed you Narayan." Buddha says.
"Yes. He's a good actor."
"There is no words to explain Robert Powell's great acting." Jesus adds. "But I like all. Diogo Morgado was good too."
"Hmm."
"Well deities, excuse me. I'm going over for dinner." Jesus announced, then he exited.
"Yes bye. Enjoy!"
"Enjoy the dinner at your friend's house."

Later on, Jesus arrived at Ariadne's house, where he was welcomed at the door by her parents. Now he's going under the name, Rafaai.
"My humble greetings." Rafaai said.
"Oh you are the friend that Ariadne had mentioned!" Lucille cheered. "Come in. Come in and take a seat."
"Thank you."
But before Rafaai entered, he took of his shoes on the side of the door.
"Why did you take them off? You could have left them on." Frederick said.
"It's a custom in my country." Rafaai replied.
"Oh."
(Hint: during Jesus' time, guests would leave their dusty sandles outside. And then they're greeted with foot washing and anointing of oil)

So now when Rafaai finally entered, Ariadne tugged his arm in a friendly way.
"Rafaai!"
"Thygatéra."
"Have a seat around the dining table." She insisted.
"Ariadne, we still have to introduce him to the other family members." Frederick chuckled.
"Rafaai, we haven't seen Ariadne so happy." Lucille smiled.
"And that had eased you? Well this is my simple gift." Rafaai smiled. "The gift of joy."
The rest of family members came into the living room and greeted Rafaai. And then Frederick introduce them.
"These are my other two daughters, Felicia and Lily. They're both younger than Ariadne." Frederick said.
"Greetings all of you."
"Greetings. I'm Ariadne's grandfather, Angus."
"Nice to meet you."
Deep inside, the family felt different in the presence Rafaai. Nevertheless they were not sceptical. After introducing themselves, everyone took a seat and Lucille uncovered the food.
"Here I'll serve food." Lucille suggests. "Rafaai, what do you eat?"
"Anything you give me. I will accept."
"Oh." She smiled.

"Rafaai is truly mysterious. His language and way with words. And his ever smiling face." Lucille thought. "And I feel so much comfort since he arrived.
"Where are you from, Rafaai?" Frederick. "Arabia?"
"No no. I'm from Nazareth. Yet I know a little Arabic." Rafaai smiled.
Now a chill ran down everyone's spine. Except for Ariadne.
"Nazareth?!"
"Yes."
"Oh really?!" Felicia's face lit up. "Just like Jesus?!"
"Yes."
"Is it beautiful?"
"Of course. But I didn't stay to much. I only spent my childhood there." Rafaai stated. "I had to do other things elsewhere. Like transfer to the school of course!"
"Are you Jewish?" Lily asks.
"Yes, but in my time, being a Jew was an ethnicity."
"We see."
"Well for dinner I'll give you some rice. And luckily I have baked rye bread. Then some lamb chops." Lucille adds. "I know you Jews love lamb."
"Thank you, Mrs." Rafaai smiles. "I guess Ariadne said that I was a Jew." He chuckled. Then everyone began to laugh.
"Actually! We didn't know what to cook for you, our guess. Then I asked Ariadne about your nationality." Lucille laughed. "Felicia suggested that you're Italian. Lily said you're maybe from the middle east! I thought you were from Egypt. Then Ariadne says that you are maybe Jewish."
"Non of these matter to me. Be it Samaritan or Jew. I'm not bounded by that." Rafaai replied.
"Great."
"Wait." Rafaai peered at a glass bottle of olive oil. "Is that olive oil?"
"Yes. We use it as a food dressing. But my children don't like it."
"Oh. I love it. Please pass it to me." Rafaai says.
"Sure."
"Thank you."
"Alright, let's join hands and pray before we eat." Frederick announced.

The family afterwards joined their hands and closed their eyes. And so did Rafaai. But little did he know, they're going to pray to Him!
"Lord Jesus." Lucille started, then Rafaai opened his eyes and listen. "Thank you for providing this food for us......."
Basically, a God can't pray to himself. But Rafaai has to blend in somehow.
".....continue to bless us. .." Lucille continued with the prayer.
"So good to see their faithfulness." Rafaai thought.
"...In Jesus' name."
"Amen!"
"Let's dig in!" Frederick insists.
"Rafaai, I'm not really into this traditional stuff." Ariadne said.
"It's ok Thygatéra. God still loves you." Rafaai tells her.
"Oh Rafaai, excuse her. This is an allusion to her not wanting to even pray with the family."
"Why should she be excused. God loves everyone who's praying or not praying regularly. He would never abandon his sheep. But search for them."
"You're very smart and soulful." Lucille remarked. "You have such a rich upbringing."
"Thank you."
"By the way. Why have you called her Thygatéra?"
"It's a nickname." Ariadne answered instead of Rafaai.
"Ohh."
"Rafaai, I have heard that you had healed Ariadne's cuts." Lily smiled. "Are you a healer?!"
"Lily, don't interrogate him. It's bad manners."
"It's ok, madam. Yes, I am a healer."
"You're so gifted."
"Then can you heal my father in law, he inj--" Lucille was asking.
"Injured his foot in an accident. I know." Rafaai finished her sentence.
"Remarkable. How did you know?? Ariadne told you?"
"I haven't." Ariadne objected.
"No she didn't." Rafaai adds. "Mr Angus. Please stand without using your walking stick."
"What? But I can't? The doctor said that my knee cap will always be dislocated. And muscle grew over it." Angus said.
"Don't listen to what the doctor said. Where do their knowledge come? From God the source of knowledge." Rafaai declared. "Please trust me."

"Oh no. What if he falls." Frederick thought.
But when Angus got up and threw his walking stick on the floor, his family became astonished.
"I can walk! And my knee is back in place!! I can walk! I can leap! I can run!"
"Pa?! Oh my!"
"Who are you?!" The parents knelt before Rafaai.
"No no, I'm younger than you. You can't kneel to me." He says.
"Rafaai!" Ariadne hugged him. "Thank you!!"
"This is the lord's divine plays." Angus cheered.
"Thygatéra, don't thank me. I don't like to see people suffer."
"You are truly a blessing."
