The next day in the morning, Randal was training the wolves to be a better unit and it would also train them to be better organized. Randal was giving them drills, tests of strength, endurance and teamwork. Arachnid came in and saw him at work, she used one of her webs and pulled him to her.

Arachnid: I love it when my man is working out.

Randal: You like to see me breaking a sweat?

Arachnid: It gets me all tingly watching all of that instinct go to work.

Randal: Don't make me wake up the other instinct because we can go right now.

Arachnid: Down boy, we got work to do.

Randal: Now you are just making me beg.

Arachnid: Beg all you want but you aren't getting any of this until night.

Arachnid walks off and heads back to work. Randal turns around and he sees all five of the wolves in a line with their head tilted to a side.

Randal: Enough watching you five, let's get back to training.

Randal got back to training the wolves. Pure was busy building the Indominous and he just finished doing the hull of the Indominous.

Pure: Ok, the hull is done, now for the rest of the ship.

Pure was doing the weapons and systems of the ship before he started building the ship. He put each part down and was making sure it was secure using his tails and chains. Once he bolted each part down one by one it took a couple of hours to make sure each part was in its place and secure. He placed in a massive hydrogen engine. Once everything was good, he brought the systems online and started up the engine. Pure started its diagnostics and performance.

Pure: Seth, diagnostic and performance double check please.

Seth: Connecting and running diagnostic behind you. Installing new security, firewalls and calibrating the engines for maximum output.

After an hour Pure and Seth were finished.

Seth: All done.

Pure: Great, let's get her in the water.

Pure pushed the Indominous into the water and she starts to float.

Pure: Good thing I distributed the weight evenly to compensate for the 750mm gun.

Seth: can the ship even take a shot from that baby?

Pure: I added specialized kinetic absorbers that will take the knockback from the shot and feed it into a boost tank for the engine to grab extra speed. I also made a couple more upgrades to make it unstoppable.

Just then a plane was approaching the fort. It was cleared and allowed to land. Once it landed a few people came out and was checked through security. Once they were cleared they were ordered to find Horatio.

Mima: Good afternoon gentlemen, please state your business.

Officer: We are here to give Horatio a special promotion.

Mima: May I ask why?

Officer: For his noble efforts of helping to stop the many crises over the world.

Mima: This way.

They follow Mima to the defense section of the fort where Horatio was planning out new designs with Jack.

Officer: Attention on deck.

Horatio and Jack stood at attention.

Head Officer: At ease gentlemen.

Horatio and Jack went to at ease.

Head Officer: Horatio.

Horatio: Yes, sir.

Head Officer: We have a promotion for you, but there is one condition that has to be met.

Horatio: What is it sir?

Head Officer: You have to beat Pure's Indominous on Ultra Warships.

Horatio: Uhh, permission to speak freely sir?

Head Officer: Granted.

Horatio: With all due respect sir, that is totally and completely insane.

Head Officer: We know, but to guarantee your promotion you have to sink it.

Jack: Uh quick question sir, why does he have to beat it on a game?

Head Officer: Ultra Warships is the place to go to find brave sailors and engineers to build the next generation of ships. Since Horatio got the top 3 in winning years ago and averted so many disasters, he has been chosen at a chance to receive this promotion.

Horatio: And all I have to do is sink it?

Head Officer: Correct.

Horatio: And you want me to do this now?

Head Officer: It would be the best choice.

Horatio: What are the conditions?

Head Officer: No conditions, just sink it.

Jack: The only person who ever came close to sinking that thing is Builder.

Horatio: I know; he must have done something to knock it that far down.

Pure: It wasn't easy.

Pure came in cleaning his hands off.

Pure: You got to be a real master to find my ship's weak points.

Horatio: Does he have to play too?

Head Officer: He can choose to.

Pure: The game knows my best maneuvers and I still got some work to do. Head to the entertainment room and get started. I'll link in and watch.

Horatio: Ok, let's do this.

Horatio headed to the entertainment room and started up the game. Since there was a new update he upgraded the ships to hold railguns and new artillery. Horatio pulled his fleet out of the fort in the game and came around to the Indominous. The General Managers were notified of the fight and skipped fighting Builder. The Indominous came out and it was ready to fight. Pure patched in and was watching the match. Horatio broke the fleet off into four groups and started to open fire, he was aiming at the turrets to try and even the odds.

Horatio: Come on Builder, what did you do?

Horatio was battling on hard and both sides were taking on heavy damage until Horatio realized something about the 750mm cannon, Horatio made the 750mm cannon follow his main ship until he sent a plane out to destroy its support system and cause it to not work anymore. Then Horatio took over the plane and was coming in behind the gun, he was looking for the unused bullet inside of it. Once he found it he used the machine gun and caused it to trigger once it triggered it blew most of the ship off and critically damaged it, but the goalkeepers and mortars were still active. Horatio had to time the shot when the goalkeeper was deployed and take the shot to fry them. Once he did the mortars were easy to take out once it did he had no problem sinking the rest of the ship. Horatio was badly damaged and only had two ships left barely afloat from the fight.

Horatio: Oh my god that was intense, I barely got away with that!

Horatio got up and was relieved that was over. Horatio got a GM message declaring he won the game. He salvaged the sunken ships and brought them back inside to be rebuilt, the others were receiving repairs. The Indominous was coming back in as well and it started repairs to fight again. Horatio left the game running and went to the cafeteria and everyone was there applauding for what Horatio did.

Jack: Congratulations on your promotion buddy.

Horatio: It was just a game.

Pure: No, you found the one weakness that everyone else couldn't find. You did the impossible.

Head Officer: Now, this title belongs to you.

An Officer came with a set of clothes and a different captain's hat. Horatio took them and he went to change into them. When he came back he was in a blue trench coat with long sleeves, and a logo on his back, it was a destroyer ship with four planes flying over it. Horatio had the armor under it and he had on the new Captain's hat. It had the same logo and was black and blue.

Head Officer: Attention, you have been promoted to Sea Commander.

Horatio: Sea Commander? I have never heard of that title.

Head Officer: It has been rarely given to a person because they never proved themselves worthy but you did.

Horatio: So what can I do now?

Horatio: Now you can command all ships on the seven seas to battle when necessary, no one will refuse your command.

Pure: And to celebrate your win, follow me.

Everyone followed Pure to his workshop where they found the Indominous good to go.

Horatio: You finished it?

Pure: I also removed the weakness from this one so that you won't get blown out of the water.

Horatio: Dude you are a magician.

Pure: I have my ways, now get your crew, hotwire and sail this baby. Seth and I will talk you through the controls and firing mechanisms.

Horatio gathered his crew, Seth and Pure took them through the controls and mechanisms, they took out the Indominous to give her a test run. Once test run was complete they brought it back into the harbor.

Pure: How does she handle?

Horatio: Like a dream, nice of you to add the old fashioned way of driving.

Pure: That could come in for sweet maneuvers.

Horatio: Ok men, training and drills will be done first thing tomorrow.

Pure: The rest of your fleet will be ready in a few weeks since I got to change around a couple things in them but you can guard the fort with the Indominous.

Head Officer: Sir, we take our leave now.

Horatio: Granted.

The officers head back into the plane they came from and they leave the fort.

Horatio: Oh my god, that was not easy, you really hotwired that thing to beat next generation ships!

Pure: -laughs- you have no idea when I built that ship.

Horatio: So now that the Indominous has been defeated I think everyone will try the same move?

Seth: Not necessarily, I was watching the fight and slowed down each shot from the machine gun. The bullet that triggered the gun had to ricochet around in there for a while before detonating. Which means that shot was insane lucky to blow it.

Horatio: Even If you were to get the gun knocked out you couldn't win.

Pure: So triggering it was the only option left.

Seth: Besides they still couldn't get past the goalkeepers and the mortars since no guns point directly up and you had to precision time the shot to take them out.

Horatio: Glad I don't have to do that again.

Pure: Yeah, you and Builder were the only ones to get that close.

Jack: So now that you are the Sea Commander, what's your next move?

Horatio: Get my fleet up and help with missions.

Pure: I'll get to work on the rest of the fleet, you got some work to do.

Everyone went back to work at the fort and when the day was over. Lucinda came back and she saw Horatio in his new uniform.

Horatio: Hey honey.

Lucinda: Hey sweetie, what are you wearing?

Horatio: I got promoted to Sea Commander.

Lucinda: Sea Commander?

Horatio: I can command all the ships at sea and my fleet.

Lucinda: That's great!

Horatio comes up to Lucinda.

Horatio: But you can still command me honey.

Lucinda: Then I want to ask something.

Horatio: What is it?

Lucinda: Can you teach me how to command ships like you do?

Horatio: Why do you ask?

Lucinda: It's because...

Horatio: It's the princess side talking a little bit.

Lucinda: A tiny bit.

Horatio holds her face.

Horatio: Don't worry, I will teach you, we can command the sea, together.

Lucinda: Horatio...

Lucinda and Horatio kiss.

Lucinda: You always have my feelings at heart.

Horatio: It's because I love you and I will always make you happy. We can train over the weekends when we are not working or have some free time. Let's get some sleep, my crew has some training to do in the morning.

Horatio went and picked up Athena from Chun and Ming, she was asleep and they put her down in her crib in their room. Horatio and Lucinda went to sleep with Horatio on Lucinda's chest listening to her heartbeat. Both of them were happy now that they share something that would bring them together.
