Mikey woke up feeling better than he did the previous day. He had more strength and he had also been secretly practising walking without his brothers knowing. Every night, every morning, his own private exercise session. Each time he practised he got better. His brothers have noticed that he has becoming better each day. Faster than they thought he would. They wanted to ask their brother if he had been doing anything but the father denied. He said that Michelangelo can speak when he feels comfortable.

As the three eldest brothers walked into the dojo the youngest brother was already there, in his wheelchair. Meditating. Eyes closed. Head down. Hands in his laps. Breathing in and out. "Hey guys." He said without looking or opening his eyes. "Hey Mikey." His brothers said. Donnie broke the silence. "So Mikey, the exercises that we'll be doing today are the leg lifts. But remember that if you want to stop, you can stop at anytime." Mikey nodded. "The other exercise that we'll be doing is see-"

"Can I walk?" Michelangelo interrupted as he opened his eyes and looked towards his siblings. His brothers looked at one another with a doubtful look. "I think I can. I'm comfortable with it. So why not." "Are you sure? Because you honestly seem a bit to weak." Raph said. Mikey hid a growl and his brothers said yes. He rolled his chair over to the middle of dojo. His brothers watched his every move. He used all the strength in his arms to push himself up. He took the first step. Then another. Then another. And soon he was walking all over the dojo.

After showing his brothers that he was capable of doing the task, they all stood there with their jaws on the floor. "So Raph, what was that about me being to weak?" Mikey said directly to Raph with a smirk. "Donnie. Crutches?" Leo and Raph both looked to Donnie. All he could do was nod with his mouth wide open.

Master Splinter was in the doorway watching his four sons. Michelangelo surely is a devil from heaven.
