Before Eun Ae was born, while she was still in the womb, her mother smoked. Her mother didn't realize that she was pregnant, so she smoked and she drank. She was unaware she was pregnant up until she went into labor.

She was drunk when she went into labor (premature labor), so when Eun Ae was born, she was taken from her mother and immediately taken care of. Being premature, they had to hook her up to oxygen and they had to do a checkup and do what they needed to so she'd survive. She also had to be treated for the abuse her mother put her through since she smoked and drank while pregnant.

When Eun Ae was stable, they got her into the foster system. Thankfully, Eun Ae was fortunate enough to be adopted only days after she was put up for adoption. Her adoptive mother had just lost her baby, as it was a stillbirth. Despite the grief, she felt led to adopt Eun Ae so she could have a happy life in a happy home.

So Eun Ae was raised by Hangyeol and Chungha Choi, and she lived a happy, normal life. She had a very happy childhood, and when she was only six, she decided that she wanted to be an idol.

Her parents were hesitant, but after seeing how much she was working to become one, taking dance and voice lessons even in school, and writing her own music, they decided to let her pursue her dream, since they believed in the saying, 'If you love something, let it go', in this case, someone: their daughter.

Eun Ae didn't get along with Aera very well at first, and her shy self was intimidated by Byeol and Bada. So, she spent an awful lot of time with one of the girls named Hana. The two of them became friends pretty quickly, and Eun Ae always went to her for everything, even after she finally bonded with the other girls.

Eun Ae also got along very well with Seung, but at the time Seung didn't know much Korean, and Eun Ae was just so shy. However, Eun Ae quickly got over her shyness and is now a social butterfly— it's almost like she went from introverted to extroverted, and now she'll talk to just about anybody.

     When she got over her shyness she talked with Seung the best she could, and she let Seung help her with her limited Japanese while she helped teach Seung Korean.
