➵ Flying Donut

"How long is this going to take?" Percy groaned. I was walking down the busy street of New York with Annabeth, Percy, Sally, Estelle, and Paul.

"Until I find the dress, Perce." I sighed. Estelle held up her arms towards me. Chuckling, I scooped her up and placed her on my hip.

"It didn't take you this long to find your wedding dress, did it Annabeth?" Percy turned to look at his wife with wide eyes.

"Of course not, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth rolled her eyes. Percy let out a sigh of relief. "It took three hours."

"It took me five hours to find mine." Sally inputted. She had her hand in Paul's as she smiled toward us.

"That is not comforting at all." Percy whined.

"Never?" Estelle looked up at me.

"Yes, Astéri?" I bopped her nose with my index finger as I called her star in Greek.

"We still looking for dress?" Estelle asked.

"Sadly." Percy leaned over and ruffled my hair. I sent him a playful glare. Estelle giggled at the two of us. "But, it's for her special day so it will be worth it."

"I'm flower girl?"

"Of course." I grinned.

"Alright, we have eight more bridal shops to go to." Paul informed us. Percy let out another whine of protest which I struggled to smack his arm since I had to steady Estelle with one arm. "Unless Nevah finds her dress in the first shop we enter."

"We will have a lunch break, Percy," Annabeth patted his chest. "No need to worry."

"And after lunch we can head to Central Park and play with Mrs. O'Leary. How does that sound, Astéri?" I started to walk towards a bridal shop a few feet away.

"Yeah! Let's play with doggie."

"Alright, munchkin," Sally reaches for Estelle. Estelle held her arms out for Sally who picked her up and placed her on the ground. "Let's help Nevah find a pretty white dress."

Paul opened the door for us. Sally and Estelle entered first before we heard a loud crash. I glanced at Annabeth and my brother before turning around.

People were running away from Central Park. There was a couple a few feet ahead who were yelling and pointing at the sky. Following their gaze, I saw a donut shaped spaceship in the sky.

"Holy Poseidon!" I shrieked. "What in the Hades is that thing!?"

"Donuts fly, right?" Percy took a step next to me. "Please tell me they fly and those aren't some type of aliens coming to earth and looking for a fight. Please."

"At least it isn't the gods this time." Annabeth pointed out. Percy turned towards her with a blank look. "We better go towards the fight and keep it in the park."

"Mom, Paul," Percy turned to look at his parents. "Go towards a safer place. One of us will call you when everything is clear."

"Be careful." Sally warned. Chewing on her bottom lip, she scooped up Estelle and started to run in the opposite direction of the commotion. Paul was quickly following after her, giving us a brief nod before he left.

The three of us ran towards the scene only to see Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. Tony was sitting on the ground with his back against a broken tree. He was in his Iron Man suit while Bruce was, well Bruce and not the Hulk, standing next to him.

"Tony?" I asked, stepping next to Bruce.

"Oh, Water Girl. Good. You're here." Tony sighed. "We're gonna need your help. These two like you?"

"Water Girl?" Percy chuckled out. I elbowed him in the stomach. He let out a groan.

"Yeah. Need some help?" I nodded.

"Hammer." Tony warned, jumping to his feet and wrapping his arms around Bruce. He flew the both of them out of the way. Us demigods jumped backwards, automatically retrieving out weapons.

A hammer of sorts that was attached to a long chain landed in the spot that Tony was in. As it started to retract, a really ugly alien stomped his way over. He was the size of a cyclops.

Tony let go of Bruce and started to attack the monster with his hand beams. The alien raised up a shield to block the beams. In result, the beams bounced off the shield and hit a near by tree. Bruce helped and jumped out of the way.

"We just jump in right? We don't need any special permission to aid the Tony Stark?" Percy asked.

"I'm not even going to answer that." I shook my head before running towards the fight.

"What? What did I say?" Percy looked towards his wife. Annabeth rolled her eyes and started to sprint to join me. "I was being serious! He's a freaking ex-Avenger!"

"Do what you do best, Seaweed Brain!"

As I stood quietly behind the alien, I gave a look to Annabeth and Tony. I raised my sword and slashed at the spot behind the alien's knee. He let out a loud cry. Annabeth quickly stabbed at his other knee, making sure her weapon sunk into his flesh fully before taking it out.

"Distract? Taunt? Have everyone try and kill me?" Percy responded running past me with Riptide gleaming in the sun. Bruce was yelling for the Hulk to come out in the background (which the Hulk did not want to).

"All of the above!" I shot back.

"Yo, are you purposely trying to look like a weird ugly cheap version of a Predator or are you just that fucking ugly?" Percy taunted. He twirled Riptide in his hand before he waved his arms frantically. The alien threw his hammer at my brother. Percy quickly somersaulted away. "That's the best you could do? Some guy named Greenberg can move faster than you!"

The alien screamed in his native tongue and ran towards Percy.

"I think you pissed him off." Tony stared the obvious.

"That's what he does best." Annabeth heard a sigh before nodding her head at me.

Catching her drift, I bent a knee as she took a few steps back. With a scowl, Annabeth ran forwards and jumped onto my thigh. As soon as her converse planted on my thigh, she leaned forward and jabbed the alien in the area where his neck and shoulder met.

The alien stuttered in his steps before he swatted at Annabeth. She quickly pulled her dagger out and jumped off. As soon as she landed on her feet, she rolled out of the way to avoid being trampled.

Tony went to go attack him. The alien used his hammer and whacked Iron Man with it. Iron Man crashed into the ground. As the alien started to walk towards Tony, I ran for his legs while Percy and Annabeth went for his arms.

I slid on my knees and stabbed my sword in the side of the knee. The tip barely poked through the other side of the knee. The alien screamed in agony as Percy and Annabeth slashed at his arms. As I was slicing through his knee cap, the alien kicked me with his other leg.

I flew a few feet before roughly landing on the ground. Rolling a couple of times, the world blurring with blue, grey, and green. I stopped on my back as saw Bruce standing over me. I coughed out a groan, trembling to sit up from the pain.

"I know this is a weird time to introduce myself, but I'm Bruce Banner." Bruce sheepishly held out his hand.

"There's been stranger introductions." I grimaced, grasping his hand. He pulled me up to my feet. "Nevah Vis, pleasure to meet you."

There was a collective sound of groans and a thud to my right. Turning my head I saw Annabeth and Percy, on the ground.

"I may have really pissed him off by bringing his mother into the conversation." Percy winced out.

"You think?" Annabeth narrowed her eyes at him as she painfully sat up.

There was a clank and an all too familiar voice. The four of us brought our attention to Iron Man, the ugly alien, and Spider Man.

"Hey, man. What's up, Mr. Stark?" Peter casually stated as he held onto the hammer that was previously trying to smash into Iron Man. He glanced over towards us. "Guys! Hey! Congrats on the engagement by the way, Nev. When's the wedding?"

"Kid, where'd you come from?" Tony asked.

"Thinking about the fall, around November. Still don't have a set date yet." I replied back to Peter.

"A field trip to MoMA." Peter yelled out answered Tony's question as the alien threw him towards the fountain. I quickly stood up, groaning as my ribs ached. "What is this guys problem?"

"Um, he's from space." Tony filled in. "Came here to steal a necklace from a wizard."

"What? Couldn't find a cool looking one in space?" I scoffed. Percy chuckled at my comment as he jumped over a low swing of the hammer with ease.

All of us, minus Bruce, were attacking the alien. Swords, dagger, beams, and webs we're flying about. Nothing seemed to fully end the alien. The hammer of the alien transformed into a claw and grasped Peter.

Peter was swung into the air before being released. He shot a web towards a stray taxi and brought it back with him, slamming the taxi into the alien.

"And I may have pissed him off by bringing up his mom." Percy informed as he helped Annabeth up to her feet after she was knocked to the ground.

"Dude!" Peter shook his head at Percy's statement. He shot another web at the alien.

"I know." Percy sighed holding out a hand towards the water fountain. "Nev, ready for that new play we made?"

"The one we made a few weeks ago?" I asked, walking over to stand next to him. Rolling my shoulders, I held out a hand with my palm facing the water. Percy nodded. "This should be fun then. Think they will be mad if we took away most of the fun?"

"Nah." Percy smirked. We both called upon the water.

As I ran towards the alien and willed the ground around him to shake and split, I also made the water push him down towards gap in the earth. Percy made himself a hurricane and had the extra water hold the alien down. The hurricane lifted him into the air, giving him access to swing his sword at the alien's neck.

Right as Percy was about to swing Riptide, a man flew in between him and the alien. He had something wrapped around him and his cape seemed to be the one on control of his flight since he was unconscious.

"Kid, that's the wizard. Get on it." Tony instructed Peter. He quickly fired a beam at the alien.

"On it." Peter shot webs from both hands and flung himself into the air to follow the wizard.

"Be careful!" I shouted, willing the water to push the alien further into the ground.

"Always am!" Peter yelled back before he was out of our sight.

"Liar." I mumbled under my breath. Annabeth strode next to me with her dagger at hand. She was breathing heavily as she glared at the alien.

"Peter is going to need some help. I saw another alien fly after him on some chunk of asphalt." Annabeth huffed.

"That would be Voldemort." Iron Man grumbled out. There was silence before Tony states "Hang on Kid."

"Tony?" I glanced at him with worry. Percy quickly slashed Riptide through the alien's neck. The alien's ugly head fell to the ground. "Go! Make sure he's okay."

"On it. You guys get a hold of Cap and help him." Tony started to fly into the air. "We'll contact you guys when we come back."

With that being said, Tony flew towards the flying donut. I let go of the water, it collecting into the gap I had made in the ground. Bruce and a man of Chinese descent walked over towards us. We all stared into the sky to see Iron Man catch up the the flying donut where the wizard and Peter were.

"He'll save him." Percy muttered, clasping a hand on my shoulder and giving it a squeeze. "Just let them finish their part. We've got to call Steve."

"What is going on, by the way?" Annabeth questioned. She crossed her arms and looked between the two older men.

"Those aliens? They're looking for the infinity stones to take over and kill the world. They took Strange. He has one of the infinity stones." The man, whom I'm guessing is associated with the wizard (who is Strange), told us. He started to walk towards the streets. We all followed after him.

"Vision has the other one." Bruce licked his lips.

"We have to get ahold of them. Now." I placed the charm of my sword back onto my bracelet. "They need to find Vision."

"I'm sorry, find?" Bruce stopped in his tracks and faced me with wide eyes.

"Steve informed me that Vision and Wanda have strayed from the group." I filled Bruce in. "We've been trying to find a way to trace them, but Stiles hasn't found anything yet."

Bruce stopped in his tracks and bent down to pick something up. He held an old flip phone that was covered in dust. There was a chime of sorts, catching my attention. I turned around to the Strange's accomplice in a circle of gold. The background was inside a house or a building, completely different from the damage in the streets. It was a type of portal.

"Where you going?" Bruce asked.

"The Time Stone has been taken." The man replied. "The sanctum remains unguarded. What will you all do?"

Annabeth, Percy and I exchanged knowing looks.

"We'll fight and bring backup, probably two to three armies worth." Percy crossed his arms.

"I'm gonna make a call." Bruce simply raised the phone slightly. The portal closed, leaving us alone in the ruins. "I'll call Steve see what he says. You guys go ahead and make your calls?"

"I'll call mom and Paul to fill them in. Tell them to go somewhere safe." Percy dug into his jean pocket to fish for his phone.

"I'll IM the Camps." Annabeth frowned.

"I'll call Stiles and tell him to locate Wanda and Vision."

"Well, let's get to it."
