Chapter 1
Hi guys! This is the first chapter of this book! I hope you enjoy it!!!
------------------------------
Hiccup woke up, with a pounding headache. He sat up, wincing.
Looking around the room, he saw he was in his house. The familiar face of a night fury jumped from the wooden beam above him, and onto him.
He groaned as Toothless trod on him, suddenly having a flashback.
FLASHBACK
"You're not a Viking. You're not my son."
His former father said. Slamming th great hall doors behind him as he strode out. Hiccup held back his tears, gritted his teeth and ran to the docks, knowing what to do.
The Vikings gasped as the weakling of the tribe was swallowed by the flames of the burning red deaths body.
When the fire cleared, they walked through the grey fog to a small black lump, a dragon with its wide wings wrapped around a shape.
Stoick walked to the front, sobbing. The dragon gave a look of sorrow, before opening its wings and revealing a small auburn haired boy.
Stoick sobbed with happiness now, hearing a faint heartbeat. He cried harder when he saw his former sons mangled leg.
NEXT SCENE
The wide awake villagers tried covering their ears to the screams of pain from the Chiefs hut, before finally giving up and walking black eyed to the front of the house's pathway. The pained screams stopped, and the door opened to a red eyed Stoick.
"Stoick?"
Gobber asked quietly.
"He said he never wanted to see me again."
Said the chief, closing his eyes.
FLASHBACK OVER
Hiccups winced, sitting up.
He pulled back the covers, and gasped. His leg was gone. Cut off. He had a faint memory of sitting on a wooden table with a man with an axe above his head, and excruciating pain.
He got up and hobbled on the odd metal leg to the door, using Toothless as a walking stick. He suddenly realised that TOOTHLESS his Dragon was in his house. His da-chief was going to kill him.
He sighed, opening his door to see a bunch of Vikings RIDING dragons. What!?
"Ah son!"
Stoick said walking up to Hiccups with a bunch of other cheering Vikings. Hiccup suddenly felt incredible claustrophobic as he was surrounded, pushing closer to his companion.
He turned stony face to his father.
"You were never my father. Or even treated me like a son. Nothing changed after you disowned me."
