The blood moon and its relevance to the story. It doesn't play a BIG ROLE, but it is relevant. I read from somewhere that a Blood Moon is a haunting reminder about secrets and power that warns us that something is different, it's like a bad omen. When Revalaun saw this in a dream or an illusion it serves as a little hint or warning to him that something bad is waiting in his pursuit for the truth. And yes, siguro tama kayo na isa ulit ito sa mga 'signs' na pinakita ni Ainsley during her 'visits'. The next question is about that.
About the 'devil' with the yellow eyes. What he saw wasn't really a devil but an image of how Ainsley perceives you-know-who. To her, he's a demon.
Why did they get sent to Tartarus instead of staying in Psyche?
The doctors couldn't restrain them and it was deemed dangerous to keep them there (the same thing happened to Jacqueline Paige who was sent to Tartarus — so the same would've done to them), instead they sent them in isolation far from the public eye while still being under treatment (ex. the use of straitjacket to prevent Hansel Daniels from self-harm).
Is Ainsley a ghost or just a figment of Revalaun's imagination? This is actually how I came up with the title "Enigma". I wanted to give the thought of having alternate worlds, a tad bit crazy idea of having a plane or realm where two worlds, the living and the dead, meet again in a state of unconsciousness (of the living). I've read from somewhere, a philosophy which states that souls are immortal, and they can get themselves attached to people, things or ideas. Therefore, Ainsley’s soul is attached to the object she held dear — the book — to protect it even from the afterlife, for the sake of the truth. Revalaun was the only person she thought would be able to decipher it and so she revealed herself to him.
Why can't Revalaun recall some of his memories? It's already been explained, but let's break it down. Revalaun suppressed his own memories to ‘run away’ from his past, to convince himself that ‘that dark chapter’ of this life never happened. Revalaun's childhood trauma made him suppressed his memories to protect himself from remembering what caused him pain.
How did his memories return? Although most of them were only fragments that he had to piece together, they only came back whenever he's reminded of them through similar events. May it something or someone similar to a memory or came from the very memory itself.
