Chapter 35

Eva's PoV

It was as if we were finally indulging in something we had wanted for so long but never got. We were ravenous for each other, mouths barely parting as our hands explored each other with a new found excitement. Ashton was quick to pick me up and carry me into a different part of the factory, where he placed me on a table and began to kiss down my neck. I let out a heavy breath of pleasure as his lips roamed my skin, feeding the fire inside me and making me want more. Before I knew what was happening, he ripped my top open and began to kiss down my chest.

"Ashton..." I breathed out, reluctantly pushing him away from me. His hungry eyes locked with mine to see why I'd stopped what we both had wanted. "Believe me, I want this, but I think we need to sort out the situation in the other room first." Despite everything, I still knew we needed to try to keep Sirgani and Dean on good terms and leaving them tied up in there would only make matters worse. Ashton breathed out heavily, knowing I was right.

"Fine. But we pick this up where we left off soon after." He pecked a few more kisses along my neck before sucking in a large mound of my skin, causing it to turn purple. The sharp sting of it caused me to back away and I looked up at him in shock. "You're mine now. Don't forget it." He gave me one last look, one of almost happiness, as he turned and stormed back to the others as he left me to pull myself together. Had that really just happened? He was so mad because Maya had said we were dating when he actually wanted me? I could barely believe it. I touched my hand to my neck once more and winced. He'd just marked my skin. I jumped up quickly, sorting my clothes out as best as I could before running back to the room to see what was going on. Voices were loud, it sounded like they were all arguing. I shoved the door open and to my surprise, the arguing stopped.

"Eva, are you okay?" Dean was quick to run to me, enveloping me in a hug. "What the fuck did he do to you?" I pushed Dean away a little and smiled, relaxing him instantly.

"I'm fine. We just sorted everything out." I kept it vague, the images of what we had done flashing into my mind and making my head spin.

"Well, at least that's one less thing for the offences sheet." Sirgani smirked, Ashton trying to leap at him but being held back by his friends.

"What? You're going to the police?" I quizzed, both men looking at me as if I'd gone mad. Of course they would, they got ambushed in their own home, their dad got beaten up. They deserved jail time. I could see the fear behind Ashton's anger, knowing he'd end up going away and losing out on not only his life but me.

"You wouldn't?" Dean asked me, his soft eyes meeting mine and trying to work out what was going on in my mind. I sighed.

"Believe me, this was all some massive misunderstanding." I began, knowing I'd have to come clean to save Ashton and his friends. "I broke Ashton's trust, then wound him up with help of a friend, we played him. He thought that by getting to you, it'd hurt me." I sighed heavily. "And it did. You two are the closest I've got to family around here, baring in mind I see my parents like twice a year because work is their priority. It's all my fault." I looked down at my shoes, heavy with shame at finally admitting my faults. Okay, Ashton wasn't perfect but I'd only made it worse. If I'd been honest with him from the start, it may have had a different ending.

"He's making you think like that." Sirgani snapped, his gaze burning holes in Ashton. I shook my head.

"Trust me, he's not. This is the first time I've seen it clearly. I'm not an innocent little girl, I'm a college student who wanted friends and would do anything to get them. I used people and I'm not proud of it." I continued, everyone including Ashton calming down. "I promise you, and beg you, please don't go to the police. If you do, it'll have to be to turn me in. Now that the dust has settled, Ashton and I have some things to talk out but I swear nothing like this would ever happen again." Dean's shoulders relaxed but Sirgani still wasn't buying it. I offered him a sad, sweet smile hoping that it'd tug at his heartstrings enough to stop. He finally sighed disappointedly.

"Fine. But one more thing, if I even see you near me or my family or my house, the police will be there before you know what hit you. The only time I should be seeing you is at racing." He snapped, grabbing his brother and yanking him out of the factory. The men and I collectively sighed with relief as soon as they'd gone.

"Huh. That was some speech." Calum piped up, I snapped my head in his direction.

"It saved your ass didn't it?" I hissed, realising no matter what I did for these guys, they'd never be grateful. Calum straightened where he stood and snarled at me.

"Watch your mouth, Earphones. You're not safe just yet." His eyes narrowed at me but Ashton elbowed him, making him cry out in pain.

"Yes she is. Now fucking shut up." Ashton walked over to me and to my surprise, put his arm round my waist. "She's mine, so it means she's part of this gang." I bit my lips together anxiously as the three other members of the gang studied me intently.

"For real? After Amber you choose Earphones?" Michael let out a snigger but Ashton shot him a menacing glare. Michael's smile fell instantly.

"Sure. Whatever you want, man." Luke agreed to Ashton's approval, he nodded back at him. Calum's eyes were still on me, barely blinking as he seemed to drink me in. My stomach knotted under his intense gaze.

"Don't worry man, I'll keep an extra close eye on her." He smirked, making me feel more nervous that I ever had before.
