Act 13 - Play Date: Part III

...

The perfect remedy for a heartbroken Chung Seiker? A pinch of his crush, being kissed by another boy. In this case, Eve and Add.

He was about to vacate the Nasod's residence, however, he wanted to say goodbye to Eve once more. The sight of her made him smile, excluding the one special occasion that had transpired a few mere moments ago.

It's quite easy to present someone false hope, only to shatter it.

Isn't that what true despair is all about?

With his emotions being thrown around from place to place, from up to down, and back onto the 'right' path again, it'd be far simpler to give up, rather than to forcibly stay resilient.

He saw it. He saw everything. The Prince was secretly peeking silently by the doorway the entire time.

A thought occurred to him: What if Add was... the pair, the soulmate-meant-to-be, for Eve?

Certainly, it wasn't much of a mood-booster. He spent a while standing by the doorway, as Elsword's echoing words from several hours ago repeating in his mind.

"Then what's the point of that? I mean, there's a ridiculously low chance of you and her being a match, anyway--"

Ridiculously low... it was true, as much as he hated to admit.

Still, he promised himself he'd be impressible, until the very end; until the clear evidence was shown that Eve and him were never meant to be.

That was when he'd lose hope, for real.

But until then, he was going to give it his all.

... Right?

"Pardon the intrusion, you two." he barged in, out from his 'hiding' spot at the peering edge of the gateway, and into the space, filled with Nasod technology.

He was noticeably a lot more dull and pessimistic-sounding than usual, as Chung was still recovering from what he'd seen.

The side of him that wasn't shown very often; the side that lived up to his title as the Deadly Chaser.

Add glanced at him with a rather bored expression, muttering a somewhat audible "Damn," under his breath.

Eve clutched onto the hem of her top, it was almost as if she felt uneasy, which was eerie and unsettling, atop of out of the ordinary. Where were these emotions sprouting from? How were these things possible, without an emotion code?

"Hm? Your work period with Eve is over, is it not? Then leave. You have no further business lounging around here, scum." Add scowled, though he was speaking in a just as calm manner as Chung was.

"Before I do, there's something I'd like to ask." he glowered back, staring daggers into the Esper's luscious violet-pink eyes.

"Tch, I didn't think you'd have the nerve to do that, goody-two-shoes. Kukuku... how interesting. Then hurry up, and stop wasting our time." he simpered, looking amused at the action.

"Are you Eve's match, for the formulated hearts? If not, then, don't do that again."

"Such hypocrisy. Says you, who has an obvious crush on the Nasod Queen. Why don't you stay back, like the good little puppy you're supposed to be, and screw off?"

Prince Seiker gritted his teeth, he knew there were no options left, but to run head-on into the vortex of reality. "Compare your hearts and keys with Eve's. That's how we'll know whether you're the rightful mate for her."

He was taking a risk, as he knew it would be a low probability, but still possible.

Usually, the arrogant Add wouldn't care for these pointless tasks, but he had the sudden desire to kick him to the curb, to the wasteland where Chung supposedly belonged in, in his opinion.

"As you wish." he murmured, materializing the two objects from out of nowhere, thanks to his robotic dynamos.

Figuring that Eve was once more dragged into a compatibility experiment, she willingly obliged, obtaining her own set of matchmaking tools from Oberon, who she had summoned from the main lobby of her home, dismissing the servant shortly after.

Would purple and pink be reconcilable?
