Chapter Five
"Won't listen to the conscience in my head,
I'm conscious but I'm lonely, halfway dead,"

"Hoseok, I found this really good studio where they want a dance teacher," Yoongi informed, shutting their laptop off. "Oh okay, I'll check it out," Hoseok smiled softly, pulling his sweatpants down. Yoongi blushed, looking away. "I got to go to a date with Jin now," Hoseok replied hurriedly, tripping in the doormat and falling down. "W-will you be back before ten? I wanted to hang out," he asked shyly, "with you," Yoongi mumbled, making sure Hoseok heard it. "I'll be back before nine, okay gotta go!" Hoseok bro hugged Yoongi before walking out.
"Please don't forget me, Seok," Yoongi whispered to himself, shakily.
Soon, boredom got to him and he scrolled through his Instagram, and then Twitter and then Amazon Prime Video. He watched a movie called, "The Portrait Of A Lady On Fire." He couldn't really understand a single shit since the audio was in French, but subtitles to the rescue! After watching it, he laid on his bed until an idea popped up in his mind.
He quickly brought his sketchbook out and his pencils. He smiled to himself as he imagined Hoseok smiling at him in his mind, trying to turn that to a drawing.
I mean, after watching a movie, who doesn't adapt the personality of a character?
After a hour and a half, he smiled to himself, content with the image. 'Great. It's eight thirty,' Yoongi thought, 'i need a few minutes to complete the hair and he'll be back too, I could show it to him!' he squealed internally. He completed it, grimacing at his hand that was shining because of graphite. He kept the sketch on the study table, rushing to the toilet to get his business done. He came back and checked the time.
9:07 PM.
"He'll be here any moment!" Yoongi grinned from ear to ear, walking to the living room to let his, well Hoseok's mom know that they were going to hang out. "Okay, don't stay up too late, you have school tomorrow. Goodnight, baby," Mrs. Jung hugged him, walking up to her room in her silky royal blue robe. "Nighty night, Mama!" he grinned widely. Yoongi patiently waited, a smile forming just as fast as it faded. He checked the time again.
9:34 PM.
He called Hoseok, sighing as it said, "Hey it's Hoseok! But you already know it, since you called me! Leave a message," frustration and worry got the best of him. "Hey it's me, where are you? It's almost ten,"
The clock ticked further, and so did the number of voicemails. The time turned to 10, then 10:30 and then 11. Yoongi almost cried in tension. "Hobi, it's me again! Where are you? I'm worried! It's ten minutes past eleven!" He felt his 48th voicemail.
12:00 AM.
1:00 AM.
Hoseok still hadn't returned.
Yoongi sighed, stuffing the bags of chips inside the caninets. He walked to his room dejectedly, changing into his pajamas and tucking himself inside the covers. His eyes teared up as he sighed in anger. Blinking those away, he got his phone out and texted Hoseok.
SeokSeok✨❤️

"Today was fun," Jin grinned widely, pecking Hoseok's lips. Hoseok hummed, waving at the older as he entered his house. "Bye Jinnie!" Hoseok giggled, hopping away towards his own house. "Oh Yoongi, you'll be so happy when I tell you abou— oh fuck," Hoseok widened his eyes, pulling his phone out.
15 missed calls, 49 voicemails, 81 messages.
Without another thought in his mind, he ran. He ran so fast he swore he almost sprained his ankle. He reached his house and opened the gate with the spare key he had, quietly closed it back. He went upstairs and peeked in Yoongi's room.
"Fuck off, Hoseok," Yoongi spat, pulling his covers above his head.
Hoseok, without saying anything further, removed his jacket and jumped inside the covers as well. His arms hugged Yoongi's waist, making the older blush. They drifted off to sleep, one angry, other guilty.
NEXT MORNING
Hoseok opened his eyes to find himself alone on Yoongi's bed. After getting himself out of his daze, he felt that same pool of guilt seep in him. He walked to the kitchen where Mrs. Jung sipped her green tea and Yoongi was making breakfast. None of them spoke a word, obvious of Hoseok's presence there. Hoseok mewled in shame. He sluggishly walked to where Yoongi was and hugged his waist, resting his face on Yoongi's shoulder. "Yoonyoon?" He whispered, his breath hitting Yoongi's exposed collarbones.
Yoongi internally whimpered, blood rushing to his cheek softly. He tried to hold it back and act like he was still mad (which he never was). "Go away," Yoongi mumbled, placing the fried sausages on the plates. "I-I'm sorry I forgot," Hoseok replied. "It won't happen again, please don't be mad," he added.
Yoongi sighed, "anger and disappointment have a difference, Jung," Yoongi replied coldly, scooting away from his hold. Hoseok raised an eyebrow. "What I mean is, don't ditch your best friend of thirteen years just because you met someone a month back," Yoongi blankly complained, placing the plates on the table one by one. Hoseok nodded, looking down.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to forget about it," Hoseok apologized. Yoongi softly nodded, " it's okay,"

Hoseok, Jeongguk and Yoongi slumped their butts down in the plastic chairs, yawn after yawn leaving the youngest's lips. "Shut your mouth! Some fly could get in!" Yoongi laughed, internally hoping Jin wouldn't make his appearance that day. "I can't! Tae came ov—" Jeongguk yawned, "over, we played all night!" He yawned again. " See who's here," Jeongguk snickered.
Guess God really hated Yoongi.
"Hey guys," Jin smiled, completely ignoring the grimaces from Yoongi and Jeongguk as he sat down on another one of the empty chairs. "hey, Jinnie," Hoseok blushed, stuffing a sushi inside his mouth. Jin giggled. Jeongguk rolled his eyes, Yoongi simply ignored. The second oldest stared at Hoseok with sad eyes, wondering why Hoseok couldn't see the story his eyes told. Soon, he was thinking of the worst scenarios that could possibly happen if Jin and Hoseok officially got together.
They'd adopt some kids and keep a dog, and then they'd be all coupley. Yoongi felt his heart clench at the thought.
And as if on cue, he felt a soft pat on his shoulder. He flinched, jumping out of his daze, and stared at the one who called him. "Come on, Namjoon's waiting," Jimin shrugged, but Yoongi could notice the sparkle in Jimin's eyes was gone. "I'll be back soon," Jeongguk angrily said, his tone icy and harsh.
Hoseok didn't notice it.
Yoongi too, shrugged and walked over to the rooftop with Jimin.
"Namjoon," Yoongi called out, once he noticed the tall male humming some song. "Yoongi, Jimin," Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows. "but Taehyung said he'd meet me here?" He asked. "that is because I texted you from his phone," Jimin proudly admitted. "But why, b— Jimin?" Namjoon giggled. " Are you dating him?" Yoongi asked Namjoon, pointing at Jimin with his fingers. The taller widened his eyes, "n-no," he muttered. "aren't you, Namjoon?" Jimin asked, a sharp glare within his glossy eyes shooting at Namjoon.
"L-look I can explain!" Namjoon defended, panic hitting him harsh. "wasn't I enough?!" Jimin yelled, pushing Namjoon. "I told you you could break up with me if you fell for someone else!" Jimin cried. "I really wanted you to be loyal, Namjoon," Yoongi tsked, a habit he had when he was mad or upset. "Yoonie—" Yoongi raised his hand up, interrupting Namjoon, "don't call me Yoonie," he said calmly.
By this time, Jimin was full on sobbing. "why?" Yoongi and Jimin both inquired of Namjoon, a scowl on both of their faces. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd come to know about it," Namjoon muttered, fidgeting with his nails. "Look at me!" Jimin yelled, making both the males flinch. "I loved you! I was there for you when no one was! And this is how you repay me?!" Jimin angrily sobbed.
Yoongi sighed, pulling Jimin into a hug. "Shush, calm down," he whispered, rubbing his back for comfort. Jimin cried harder, his sniffles and gasps making Namjoon shrink. "Shush, it's going to be okay, shush," Yoongi whispered in Jimin's ears, the voice too soft yet loud for the younger because of the proximity. Jimin broke the hug, gasping for air and he rushed out, dragging Yoongi with him.
Namjoon broke down himself.
