CHAPTER 38

Warning a lot of time skips!!!

NIJIKA P.O.V.

I moaned and stretched my arms in front of me as I laid in the bed that was provided in the hotel room we rented.

My eyes examine the room, stopping on each of my friends.

"Ne~ Nijika do you know the price of the game?" Gon childishly asked from the chair he sat. The teen dressed in green had his arms propped on the back of the chair as he looked at me with his big, round, brown eyes.

I sat up from the bed and eyed the spiky haired male and shrugged my shoulders, "There isn't a exact price. Though I know the minimal expected price is 8.9 billion, and you only got about 5 million right?" I questioned and sighed. No way they can get their hands on the game with that little money.

"She's right..." Leolio grumbled from the couch he sat in, "The Sazan piece auction house is the most prestigious one of all the auction houses. With your budget, you won't be able to buy the entrance fee." Leolio scoffed as he threw his head back, "You say that there's a clue to searching for Gon's father in the game, but isn't it almost impossible in getting it?"

I nodded my head in agreement, Leolio was right. The minimal price is 8.9 billion, it's obviously going to be more.... I wouldn't be surprised if it went to 100 billion when there's is filthy rich people in our world.

Killua who sat near the window lifted his feet and stretched, "Well the hunger site said the obtaining level is 'easy'," the silver haired teen quoted the easy with his finger as he lazily looked at us with his blue eyes.

"Huh? Really?" Leolio seemed shocked by the information as he turned his head towards where Killua sat.

My eyes went to Gon who nodded his head, "Yeah! The only thing you need to have is money."

Leolio laughed out loud as he gave us a sly look, "I told you money is everything!"

I frowned at Leolio's statement as I played with the hem of my skirt. Money huh...?

"That's not really true," I mumbled as I eyed Leolio, "Things that can be bought can't be a real treasure right? My bond with my brother and you guys can't be bought by money...."

"Nijika's right. Get these things with ease, then you can call yourself a truly real Hunter right?" My eyes snapped towards Killua who stood up from where he was previously sitting. He pulled out a lollipop from his pocket and popped it into his mouth as he ripped off the wrapper.

Leolio raised his eyebrows as he looked at both of us. Though Gon on the other hand seemed mildly surprised.

I on the other hand stared at Killua, wanting the rabbit shaped lollipop he was eating.

I swiftly moved from where I was sitting and appeared in front of Killua. The silver haired teen was obviously surprised by my appearance and jumped back, his eyes wide.

With a snap of my wrist, I easily snatched the candy out of his mouth and ran off with it.

Triumphed, I grinned at the male who was still shocked, and popped the candy in my own mouth.

"O-Oi! What the hell!" Killua yelled as he glared at me.

I twirled the candy in my mouth before popping it out, "I wanted it." I simply stated.

Killua seemed slightly flustered, which was very amusing to me, "That was mine! And I had more of you asked!"

"But I wanted this one!" I childishly whined, "It's shaped as a rabbit and strawberry flavored! You wouldn't mind right, Onii-chan?" I evilly grinned, acting like what a twin sister was suppose to act.

Killua glared at me before ripping off a wrapper of a new lollipop, popping it into his mouth.

Happy that I got what I wanted I turned around to see Leolio and Gon sitting in front of a computer, staring at the screen while mumbling to themselves.

I immediately got bored by what they were saying and went back to my place on bed.

"Bidding and Binding what is that?" Gon questioned out loud.

The only thing that popped in my mind was that whatever binding was, it sounded a little sexual and erotic. Gon shouldn't know about it though...

"Bidding is the same as a regular auction. Though I wonder what 'binding' is," Leolio mumbled as he searched it up.

"Huh, the definition of binding says that it is one way of an auctioning. Another name for the conditional auctioning. The seller provided a non-monetary condition to the sellers. The one who fulfills the condition wins the auction item."

I walked toward the three males that was gathered around the computers and propped my arms on Gon's head.

"Conditions?"

"What the heck is that suppose to mean?"

"Hehehe...." My head snapped towards Leolio in alarm as the older male started to laugh, "I see... We can auction this way."

"Huh?" Killua and I chores in confusion.

"Let's go, you three! I figured out a way to do an auction and make money for sure!"

What the heck is this man thinking....

"STEP RIGHT UP! STEP RIGHT UP!! CONDITION AUCTION IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!!" Leolio yelled as he spread his arms out in middle of the street.

I sighed and elegantly sat besides Gon in front of a table as Killua stood next to me, two late diamonds in his hand.

"Our item is a diamond with about 3 million jens! With a quality assurance document form the store behind us!!"

Few minutes ago, with my power, I conjured the two diamonds for the jewelry store to check.

The store's clerk's eyes almost popped out of his sockets as he started to check the gems. At first he couldn't believe they were real. But later he tried to make me sell it to him stating it was the largest diamond he has seen.

Of course I declined.

I smiled gently as I sat beside Gon who also sat in front of a table like my own.

My eyes examined the crowd that started to form in front of us.
Many of the people greedily eyeing the diamonds in Killua's hand.

"The condition is arm wrestling!!! A diamond will be sold to the first person who can win against this young man or young lady!!! The price is 10,000 Jenis!"

I gave the most frightened look I possibly could and eyed the large crow of males that started gathering.

Many of them smirked as they eyed me, obviously under estimating me.

"LET THE AUCTION BEGIN!!!!!"
Leolio screamed.

"Here's mine!"

"Mine too!!!"

I eyed Gon who looked slightly nervous, eh, he'll be fine.

"Oi, are you sure you can even beat a ant?"

At the rough voice I cocked my head and looked at the man who stood in front of me.

"Eh... Are you my opponent mister?" I questioned in a soft girly voice.

My eyes were round and innocent but I was carefully examining the man in front of me.

Tall, muscular, and scars on his face, and crooked nose. Obviously it's been broken at least once.

The man ignore me and placed his elbow on the table and gave me a pointed look.

I sighed and shakily placed my hand on his.

As soon as a opponent for Gon was also ready, Leolio called for the battle to begin.

I just smirked and smiled at the man in front of me before slamming my hand down, winning the fight.

I get it, so this is a condition fight.

"SORRY, NEXT IN LINE!!!!"

I frowned slightly as I quietly pushed down my next opponents hand.

Opponent 206 down.... It was obvious I was getting more opponents then Gon cause all of them were underestimating a girl.

Gon was on his 150 opponent, and he didn't seemed to be too happy.

Hah, he must be feeling slightly guilty getting money so easily. Also we were both growing a bit tired. Even though it was extremely easy winning these fights, having to act like we're struggling was awfully annoying and tiring.

I cracked my neck massaging my hand, eyeing the growing crowd with bored blue eyes.

Though I froze when I felt a strong aura coming our way.

"Oh! Our first female challenger!!!!" Leolio yelled as he took the money from the raven haired female with glasses.

A shiver downwent my back as she sat in front of Gon.

The crowd went wild as they cheered for the female.

The female politely bowed making Gon bow as well, "Nice to meet you."

Gon quickly muttered the greeting as was he took her right hand into his.

I immediately became alarmed and stopped the hand that was trying to push mine down. I shot a look at my opponent, noticing he was gritting his teeth as he tried to push down my hand. I scoff lightly and turned my attention back to Gon.

My friend grunted as he tried to push down the female's hand, struggling against her strength.

She's strong..... What is she?

I slammed down my opponent's hand as I watched Gon finally push down her hand, claiming victory.

The glassed female politely bowed, "Thank you," she stood up and quietly disappeared into the cheering crowd.

"Oi Gon," Killua whispered into Gon's ear, "You used full power didn't you?"

Gon nodded looking stumped, "Yeah..." He muttered as he stared at the place she disappeared too.

I hummed in interest, "I wonder, who is she?" I questioned out loud as I took my next opponent.

Killua shrugged his shoulder as he eyed me with his feline like eyes, "Don't know, maybe the world champion for women's arm wrestling?" The young Zoldyck joked making me roll my eyes.

"Haha, funny," I grumbled, but really... Who was that women?

>>TIME SKIPS>>

"Wooo!!!" Leolio cheered as he sat in front of a table filled with money.

"We currently have two diamonds worth 3 million jenis, the 2.4 million and 2.75 million won by arm wrestling, that's about 8 million jenis total!"

I nodded slightly impressed, "Actually it'll be about 4 billion 8 million if you combine the money I have in my bank," I state as I step forward, crossing my arms over my chest.

The three males snapped their head towards me in shock as they stared at me while their mouth were gapping.

"4 b-billion?!" Leolio screamed as he looked at me with his eyes popping out.

I nodded, "I have some money that we can use, less work for us."

Leolio just shook his head in disbelief as he pointed a thin finger at me, "How the hell did you get 4 billion jenis?!"

I shrugged my shoulder, "From a young age I sold those rocks remember? And during my training I went hunting for criminals with my older brother, he gave me some of the reward money he gained," I nonchalantly stated as I took a seat next to Killua who seemed to be staring at me with his eyes wide.

The three males continued to stare at me until Gon broke the silence, "Nijika! We can't use your money that you earned!!!"

I ignored my friend and continued to look at the pile of things on the table. Of course we could use it.... It might give us a hint to Gon's dad.

"Oi, Nijika are you listening?" Leolio hissed as he glared at me through his tinted glasses.

I honestly shook my head and
give the man a sheepish smile, "Sorry, I was thinking. Mind repeating?"

"I said that this arm wrestling in only the beginning!"

Only the beginning? I tilted my head to the side, what is that suppose to mean?

>>TIME SKIPS NEXT DAY>>

"WELCOME!!! TODAY YOU CAN WIN A DIAMONDS WORTH 3 MILLION JENIS!!" Leolio yelled into the crowd like he did yesterday.

"TO OBTAIN IT, THERES ONLY ONE WAY: ARM WRESTLING!!! BEAT EITHER OF THESE KIDS AND TAKE AWAY THE DIAMOND!!!" Leolio screamed as he pointed at both of us.

I pleasantly smiled and acted weak and frail.

Though I quickly realized nobody stepped up, already knowing about us from yesterday...

I immediately realized what Leolio was trying to do and smiled.... Heh... He's rather smart huh?

Suddenly the crowd started to open a path allowing to men to walk through.

My 'blue' eyes narrowed as two men in suits walked up with a cocky smirk. One was an average size while the other was obviously a giant. Huge in size and huge in muscles as well... He looked like some sort of body guard...

"I'm trying." The larger one muttered as he sat himself down in front of Gon, making the poor boy open his mouth in shock.

I hid a giggle with my hand as I noticed that the man's arm was almost the size of Gon's upper torso. It would seemed impossible for Gon to even hold his hand.

I stood up to offer Gon to switch with me but Leolio beat me to it, "Gon, switch. I'll replace you." Leolio bluntly stated as he ushered the small boy away.

"Hey, you!" The companion of the large man stepped in glaring at Leolio, "It won't work this way, it's an infraction of the rules!"

Leolio looked down at the man, with a stoic look, "I know." He suddenly pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket, "5 million plus the diamond. If you win against me, these are yours. So?" Leolio questioned with a small smile.

My eyes darted towards Killua and noticed he too looked unsure. He then must have felt my look. Our eyes met each other in uncertainty.

I trust Leolio with his judgement but was he truly strong enough to beat this giant? I would be able to but...

As the two males sat down I walked up to them, placing my hand in each of their fist, "Ok," I mutter, "Fair and square, ready.... GO!!" I yelled and jumped back.

My eyes widen as Leolio immediately slammed the man's hand down, successfully breaking it.

"Who's next?" Leolio questioned as he looked around with a bored manner.

The man groaned as he held his broken arm in pain, a painful squeal escaping his mouth.

The crowd all seemed to be alarmed as they stepped back, seeming to be frighten by the scene in front of them.

I slowly stood up and walked up to Leolio, realizing what he was doing.

For effect I placed a hand on his sleeve and smiled at the crowd with my most innocent look.

"I remind you that the earning have increased." When nobody stepped forwards Leolio sighed, "Don't tell me we're stopping here?"

A giggle escaped my lips as I cocked my head to the side. I could feel all the looks landing on us, many of them wary and fearful.

"Say..." The smaller man who was the companion of the defeated man muttered catching our attention, "Suit, you're real strong, I like you," he muttered pulling out a card and writing on it.

Leolio smirked as he placed a hand on my head, "This girly and the two behind me are much stronger than I am."

The man's eyes landed in me. Seeing this, I bared my teeth and let my true character show. I ain't no sweet cute harmless girl, I'll kill you...

A smirk appeared on my face as a shiver went down the back of the man in front of us, "Oh... If you have some time today... Please stop by around 5 PM." The man gave us a look, handing the card to Leolio before waking off, taking the defeated, injured man with him.

I nudged Leolio with my elbow and smiled, "Eh, we got the jack pot Huh?"

I confidently walked beside Leolio as Gon and Killua trailed behind us avoiding the large crowd of people.

Use the cards description and map we walked into a building filled with people.

"Oi, what's going on?" Killua questioned me as he walked to match my pace.

I smirked at him and moved the long strands of the wig, "Getting some jobs for us," I whispered as we stopped in front of a door that was heavily guarded.

Leolio handed the card we received at the men who guarded the door.

They guard eyes us before smiling and letting us through.

"Take the left. The last basement," he muttered as he opened the door, "It's going to begin..."

We nodded and slid in through the door.

I quickly turned towards the two boys seriously, "Use Zetsu. It's better if we get underestimated here...."

Killua raise his eyebrow at me but none the less activated Zetsu concealing his aura.

Gon quickly followed as he grinned at me, a cheerful, happy feeling surrounding him for some reason.

I sighed, I've been using Zetsu the whole time so I didn't need to. Though Leolio seemed like he didn't have any idea what we were doing.

As we walked in, I quickly searched for the closest exit if something did happen.

Then I started to size up all the men who were gathered in the room. The corner of my lips twitched upward but I continued to have a neutral face.

I stood next to Killua and Gon, making sure they stayed silent.

"Ne, Leolio, Killua, Gon. Stay on guard..." I whispered so they could only hear me, "The closest exit is the window to the right of us and the door we walked in though.... If something happens I'm going to kick the window open and get us out of here with my wind, got it?"

The males gave me a small nod, but making it not obvious. As we stood close to each other I could feel the tension surrounding us.

I immediately became tense as the lights turned off, my eyes snapping towards the rink like stage that was lit up.

My eyes narrowed as they landed on a person who was dressed rather revealing, I couldn't tell if it was a she or he.

"Welcome everyone!!!! Let's start without waiting for the conditional auction!!! Today, the rule is simple!!! Hide-and-Seek!"

I noticed a group of people wearing sunglasses walking through the room handing out paper.

"Look carefully at the pictures you were give. Those seven people are today's target!!!"

I froze in pure shock as I looked at the familiar faces.

The glasses girl... Samurai... Frankenstein.... The pale guy with dark hair and clothes.... Blondie.... And finally the pink haired female....

"O-Oi.... But that girl...." Leolio mumbled as he looked over my shoulder to see the papers.

"Hey, she's the one who came yesterday for the arm wrestling," Gon exclaimed as he pointed the the glassed girl.

Killua seemed to be thoughtful as I stared at the person on stage, "The condition to fulfill is to catch them and give them to us!! You'll receive a check of 2 billion Jenis per head!!!!"

My mouth dropped open.
