chapter 12

I stood there for some minutes crying until my eyes were dried out of tears. .

I rubbed my eyes hoping that what I was seeing wasn't there.

But the mirror still stayed in place.

At last, curiosity got the better of me and I picked it up. I felt so sickened. The mirror was releasing a foul odor that I could presume came from the blood. I still couldn't understand what was going on.

And what got me even more confused was that the blood wasn't dried up. If facts served me right then it should have been dried. Unless, someone had recently put it here.

The sound of shoes scraping the floor snapped me out of my reverie and back into reality. I immediately took off.

I climbed the stairs as quickly as I could, then I entered back into the room that I used to enter the house.

The windows were still open. I held on to the mirror since the clothes I was wearing had no pockets.

I climbed on the branches, as I continued to make my way towards my room.

The windows of my room were also opened. I jumped inside, then I quickly turned around and locked it.

I released out a sigh of relief and put the curtains down successfully blocking my view of the house.

I made my way into the bathroom. I turned on the tap as I put the mirror under it to get rid of the blood. I felt sick as I watched the clumps of blood go down the drain.

After I washed and dried it, I went into my room and sat on the bed to properly look at it.

Without a doubt, I knew it was mine. The black shiny hand mirror still had the same dent on the handle that mine had. The intricate designs on the top of the mirror were the same as mine.

I looked at myself in the mirror and saw how horrible I looked.

My black hair looked disheveled and oily, and my face looked worn and tired.

Not bearing the torture anymore, I threw the mirror across the room.

This time I couldn't even cry, I just stared at the wall of my room.

Different thoughts were running through my mind simultaneously, but the one that stood out the most was how the mirror got into that house. Did someone put it there? Well obviously... unless the mirror could freaking fly. At this point, I shouldn't even dismiss that thought.

Things were getting really fucked up.

I was already feeling exhausted even though I just recently woke up. I laid down on my bed again and hoped that my mum was doing alright.

Was there actually a person in that house? Or was my mind just playing tricks on me? I looked over to the house.

Even though my curtains did a good job of hiding it from my sight. I could see the outline of it creepily mixed with the shadows of the tree's branches.

On top of that, The red curtains made it look even creepier. Maybe I shouldn't have the gotten red curtains, I should have gone for the blue one.

I closed my eyes and decided that I would worry about that later.

Something was going on, and once I had my sleep and was in a better state of mind, I will find out.
