Paulina was probably super suspicious of Danny when Star and him first started hanging out.

She thought for sure he was messing with her BFF just to get his loser butt higher in the social ladder and she wasn't going to have it.

Star had already experienced once how it felt like to be used and dumped, Paulina would not let that happen again.

So she threatened Danny. Told him to stay away from Star or she will set Dash and Kwan on him.

Danny was angry that she accused him of using Star and he yelled: "I'm not with her because of that and I'll prove it."

He did everything for Star for the next two weeks. When she called him he would stop whatever he was doing and talk to her even if he was in the middle of a fight. He gave her presents every single day. He did a lot, and Star was pleasantly surprised but suspicious.

Once she found out about Paulina and Danny's confrontation she was furious.

She was furious at her best friend, but she was also furious at her boyfriend.

She came up stomping towards him and snapped. "So all of this was just to prove Paulina wrong? Are you even taking this seriously?? Our relationship has nothing to do with her! She is no part of this!" She clenched her fists tightly by her sides, her face red. "I am with you because I don't care what she thinks. Seems like you're with me because you do."

Danny was quiet for a moment, shock and guilt clear on his face. He stared at Star as she angrily wiped some tears from her eyes. Then he slumped his shoulders. "I'm sorry. You're right." He grabbed her shoulder. "She is no part of this. I'm not with you because of her. I love you. Sorry. I won't let her or anyone else affect our relationship."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. He did the same. "Thats's all I needed to hear."

They stand there, straddling each other. Only them. They were the only two people in the world in that moment. They wouldn't let anything like that come between them.

The next day Star argued with Paulina for fifteen minutes until the Latina finally agreed to not do anything to Danny. She tolerated him, but Danny couldn't care less what she thought.

He loved Star. Nothing would change that.
