Connor: "H-Huh?!"

The heroes are dumbfounded.

Zemenis: "I have the ability to rewrite the past..."

He looks at Jeremy.

Zemenis: "... and he has the ability to change the future."

The heroes have a double take.

Matthew: "Any attack we land can just get reset?!"

Zemenis: "Correct."

Carmen: "How do you beat someone who can't get hit?!"

Zemenis: "It's simple, you can't."

Nicole: "Dream Wave!"

Their allies get their strength back.

Zemenis: "(in head) Only one person has ever gotten through my defenses."

The heroes send as many Waves as possible in a circle to attempt to hit him that way.

Zemenis: "Rewrite Wave!"

Time rewinds to the second the attacks were fired and Zemenis manages to leap above the attacks and have them collide in the center.

Ashley: "(sighing) Oh my fucking god."

Dawn takes aim as Matthew activates a Hawkeye Wave.

Dawn: "Now you're really pissing me off!"

Zemenis: "(in head) I need to give it a small break."

Dawn fires and makes a direct attack with his hand.

Dominic: "His Wave needs to cool down!"

Connor aims a Subzero Wave.

Connor: "(focusing) Thanks for the tip!"

The Wave makes contact with his stomach, causing him to cough a little blood.

Zemenis: "Quick to notice I see!"

Zemenis goes all out evasive as the heroes seize their moment.

Zemenis: "Looks like that Progressive Wave is in constant effect."

Zemenis rewinds just before a nice shot from Carmen smashes his chest into pieces.

Zemenis: "No matter what I do to the past, you keep changing the future."

Jeremy: "The future is always changing!"

Jeremy lands a Focus Wave as Dominic activates the Artist's Wave.

Zemenis: "(smirking) For better or for worse?"

Zemenis keeps rewinding time and the heroes are starting to run low on steam.

Dawn: "(exhausted) Put a sock in it."

Zemenis grabs Dominic by the skull and throws him into Nicole.

Nicole: "(exhausted, in pain) Even if we get his Wave on cooldown..."

Dominic: "(exhausted, in pain) ... we're already burnt out."

Zemenis: "Precisely."

He knows that the heroes simply don't have the stamina to keep unleashing a barrage of attacks forever.

Connor: "(exhausted) You know full well that you're fucked!"

Connor can't react as Zemenis picks him up by his Relay Gear.

Zemenis: "All I need to do is knock him out and the Progressive Wave loses any and all effect until he wakes up in our facility."

Connor is lammed into the ground with a simultaneous Shatter Wave, causing him to puke up some blood and temporarily unconsciousness.

Matthew: "(in head) I need to land my shot."

Dawn and Carmen can't seem to move their legs.

Carmen: "(exhausted) We're screwed, aren't we?"

Zemenis slams them with a Slam Wave, knocking them into the edge of the roof.

Zemenis: "Now for the remaining girl and the Streamline Echo."

Jeremy's eyes are filled with sweat, blinding him from another Slam Wave that smashes him into Ashley.

Ashley: "(exhausted, in pain) Great."

Jeremy is losing consciousness.

Zemenis: "Now to deal with the one who shifted our plans from the very-"

Milliseconds from Jeremy passing out.

Matthew: "(determined) Ring Wave!"

Matthew binds Zemenis in the nick of time.

Zemenis: "(struggling) D-Dammit!"

Matthew is the only one able to stand on his feet.

Matthew: "It's over!"

Zemenis can't call Shakespeare.

Carmen: "(exhausted) Hurry this up already!"

Matthew grabs Zemenis by his chest.

Matthew: "You're through!"

With the help of an Adrenaline Wave, Matthew throws Zemenis off of the building and crashing into the sidewalk.

Dawn: "(exhausted) Just before he passed out..."

Police and medics are at the scene below.

Matthew: "(exhausted) Did it so he had minimal time to..."

Matthew falls to the floor.

Matthew: "(drowsy) ... react."

Medics arrive at the roof.

Medics: "Get these children downstairs now!"

Stretchers arrive for the eight heroes...
