Thirty Three

The three men stood facing each other, Taehyung feeling super awkward in the face of the man who looked exactly like Jungkook, just ten times more meaner.

“What is this, Jungkook?” The man said sternly, his eyes raking over a Taehyung disapprovingly. “Are you wasting your time on whores again?”

Okay wow, that hurt.

“I did not ask for your useless opinion.” The man said calmly, but each word digging into Taehyung like a knife. He didn’t know he’d spoken aloud. Jungkook's father turned back to his son. “I told you that you were done with the whores.”

“He’s not a whore.” Jungkook said firmly.

“Then who is he?”

“He’s works for me...he’s created some of the new bombs that I’ve sent you. He’s creating the one you wanted right now, and he just perfected it.”

“And so you’re wasting time chasing him through the halls and giggling like school girls?” The man perched an eyebrow atop his forehead. “I thought I taught you better than that.”

Jungkook grit his teeth together, bowing his head slightly. “You did, sir. I’m sorry—“ Jungkook held his breath as his father slapped him.

Hard.

“You are a Jeon.” The man hissed. “Act like it.” Taehyung stiffened when the man suddenly turned back to him. “And you. Do not distract my son any further. You can offer him nothing but some fleeting moments of pleasure, so don’t you think, for a second that you are special.” Taehyung bowed his head, feeling intimidated by the gaze of the man.

“Y-Yes Sir.” He whispered.

There was silence after that, Taehyung and Jungkook too intimidated by the man in front of them to formulate any words to speak.

Taehyung now understood a little of what Jungkook had told him of his family, and he suddenly felt bad for the man, because he knew, deep down that he probably treated Jeon the same way when he was only four or five. He didn’t care if Jungkook was his son, he just wanted a leader.

Jungkook was angry, but still scared, deep down inside, no matter how much he hated to admit it. His father had created a deep rooted fear inside of Jungkook, causing the man to submit to him every time, carrying out every wish and whim. He hated it...but it had been beaten into him so many times that he didn’t know how to stand up to the man anymore.

“Sir, May I ask what you are visiting for today?” Jungkook finally managed, making his face black, his back straight.

“An heir.” Jeon said simply, as if it were nothing.

Jungkook stumbled over his next words, his face going pale. “A-An h-heir?”

“Yes, are you deaf? I want you to have an heir. I’ll give you two options.” Jungkook nodded slowly. “The next person that walks into this room, or their offspring if they’re too old, or you marry a woman of my choosing.”

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows.

“Why would—“

“Answer. What is your preferred choice?”

“N-neither of them.”

“Then I will pick for you.” The man glanced at Taehyung. “I can see that your tastes have shifted from females, Jeon. I highly doubt you’ll be able to reproduce at this rate with a woman. So…”

The small pattern of feet on the tile was heard.

Taehyung’s eyes widened.

“No…” he whispered. He turned quickly, but a hand grabbed his wrist, keeping him from leaving, from stopping him... “No!” He screamed.

Yoonbin ran inside the room.

-

“Let me go! You can’t have him! Yoonbin!” Taehyung screamed, being restrained by two large men. Jungkook stood beside his father, his face pale.

Taehyung’s child, Yoonbin was sitting on the ground, playing with some toys as Jungkook’s father stood over him, watching the boy.

“He is deaf?”

“Yes, sir.”

“No matter. He is suitable.”

“Jungkook!” Taehyung screamed. “Don’t do this! Do not—“ Taehyung gasped as someone slapped him right across the face.

“Silence!” Jeon screamed. Even Jungkook flinched at the man’s words. “This boy here will be the new heir of the Jeon family. I will be taking him and training him. He will be returned when he is ready.”

“Stop! No!” Taehyung screamed again, not caring if he would get slapped once more. He struggled against the grips of the men, breaking one arm free, and then, the other. He ran forward, reaching for his son, but was quickly tackled to the ground.

Taehyung saw a pair of feet approach him, and he looked up slowly. Jeon stood there, hands behind his back. “You’re lucky you’ve become invaluable to me, otherwise you would be dead. But you will not struggle, otherwise I will make things harder for your son than they already will be.” Taehyung gasped, holding his breath as he felt tears sting his eyes.

“He’s a child. Just a child.”

“No.” Jeon said, spinning on his heels. “He’s the Jeon heir.”
