Seventeen

Third Person POV

After another round in the bathroom, Jungkook had to carry Taehyung out.

They walked out of the basement and up to the main house, which was when Taehyung remembered something.

Yoonbin.” He breathed out, panic spiking within him.

How horrible of a father was he?

Forgetting his son to go off and fuck some guy?

Taehyung was a terrible dad.

He wiggled out of Jungkook’s grip and stumbled across the hall, gritting his teeth in sheer will not to collapse from the weakness in his knees and the pain in his back.

“Babygirl?” Jungkook asked.

“Yoonbin! I fucking forgot Yoonbin…” Taehyung clutched his head, leaning against a wall so that he could stand. “I’m such a terrible father…”

“Hey…” Jungkook whispered. He ran a hand down Taehyung arm comfortingly. “You are not a terrible dad.”

“Easy for you to say! I’ve completely ignored the fact that he’s still with a bitch so that I could fuck with you!” Taehyung yelled out. “What kind of father does that to their own kid!? He can’t stay there anymore!”

“Well, you would’ve had to wait, anyway…”

“What do you mean?”

“You think paperwork and custody of a child comes within two seconds? I had to have some of my men sort all of that out.” Jungkook said.

Taehyung froze and turned, looking wide eyed up at Jungkook.

“You did what?”

“I got you custody of your son, Taehyung. You’re not a terrible dad, you would’ve had to wait anyway, regardless if you had been aware of it or not.”

“Y-you mean…”

“Yes, you have legal custody over you son, now. Full custody.” Taehyung felt his eyes watering and he rushed at Jungkook, embracing him.

“Thank you...thank you…” he cried out, unashamed at how pitiful he must have looked.

Jungkook on the other hand was quite shocked at the way the elder was acting.

But he could only imagine what the elder had been gong through for the last six years regarding the child.

“Come on…” Jungkook whispered. “Let’s go get him, hmm?”

Taehyung nodded shakily, stepping away from Jungkook and wiping his eyes.

Jungkook smiled and helped Taehyung to the front door, walking outside and to his car.

They got in and Taehyung told him where to go.

On his way, Jungkook received a phone call.

“Jeon.”

“Where are you?”

“Jimin?” Jungkook raised his eyebrows. “We’re off to get Taehyung’s son.”

“You’re what?” The man asked breathlessly.

“Yeah, long story, why are you calling?”

“Well I was going to inform you of something, but it’s not that important and it can wait. But Jungkook...you need to watch Taehyung.”

“What? Why?”

“Have you...ever seen him around Wendy?”

Jungkook thought back. The night in the alley, yes.

“Once.”

“What you saw...was it outside, somewhere public?”

“Yes.”

“Then you don’t know.” Jimin muttered.

“I don’t know what?” Taehyung had been listening, but figured it was something work related and tuned out the conversation, turning to the window.

“Taehyung...changes when it comes to his son and Wendy. Especially around Wendy. You need to watch him and make sure he doesn’t do something stupid.”

“What would—“

“He’s almost killed her.” Jimin said, cutting him off. “He’s almost killed her before, and he would have, if I hadn’t been there. You can’t let that happen, Taehyung wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he did something like that. But he loses his cool when he’s around her, and he turns into a completely different person. Just...whatever happens...watch him and stop him if things get out of hand.”

“Alright.” Jungkook said, nodding slightly. Jimin hung up and Jungkook dropped his phone, pulling up to the apartment complex.

It was a very nice apartment complex, that was the first thing Jungkook noticed.

He turned questioningly to Taehyung.

If she was a drug addict and hung around the shittiest parts of town...then why did she live in such a luxurious apartment?

Even when Jungkook had sent his men to go and collect Taehyung’s things, they’d told him he lived in a standard apartment. Yet this building was luxury level.

Taehyung saw the questioning look and ground his teeth together.

“The money she takes from my family.” He managed out, his voice laced with anger.

“What?”

“She uses the money on herself. Drugs, luxuries. I doubt she’s even enrolled Yoonbin in school, and if she had, he would have to take public transportation by himself. A deaf, six year old taking the bus everyday?” Taehyung laughed lowly, shaking his head.

“And you—“

“I can’t do shit. I’m not even supposed to be with him without her around. She’d report me the minute I tried to do anything with him.”

“Yet she drops him off at your house when she wants to go and get high.”

Taehyung shrugged.

“I can’t do anything about it.”

“Now you can.”

“Yeah…” Taehyung chuckled lowly once again, Jungkook not liking how sinister it sounded. “Now I can do something about it.” He muttered before getting out of the car and walking towards the apartments.
