What's an headcanon?
An headcanon is an idea about a certain character/pairing or story in general that is only canon in your head. These can be of various lengths and range from complicated plots to very simple situations. They differ from a fic in that they're generally much shorter and only give you an outline or a glimpse into what the person likes to imagine as canon.

Headcanon can also be used as a verb. For example: "I headcanon Draco with long hair." This means that in your head you canonically picture him like that. Does that make sense?
