A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

"So i've been thinking."

"Oh my gosh. You've been thinking. I was wondering why you were looking tired. It must have been a lot to handle for your pea brain.

"Baek, I'm being serious right now." Hyun cried out with a pout.

"I'm also serious. I worry for your mental health. I don't want to have to explain to mom and dad how you became a vegetable,"  Baek said with his eyes on his text book as Hyun drove them to school.

"Baek.."

"Okay, fine. Tell me what's on your mind," Baek said without looking away from his book.

Hyun knew that was the most attention he was going to get and so he accepted it.

"So.. I was thinking about this thing with Yeol. Like I heard rumors that he is like a playboy. That he doesn't date anyone for long...but its not like I care...we are just having fun, right...nothing serious...so I'm not bothered...I like him but not LIKE, LIKE him... if tomorrow he wanted to end things and then I wouldn't be bothered...at all...there are so many other cute guys and I get like 5 confessions a day...so I would totally get over him...but do you think...that maybe he...likes me and might stay longer...not that I would care if he didn't...I'm not clingy or anything...its only been like two weeks so its whatever right..."

"Shut up. You're giving me a headache," Baek said cutting his brother off because he clearly understood what was happening.

Hyun pretends like he doesn't care but like any other hopeless romantic, he also wished to meet the perfect guy who would love him and never let him go.

Just from his little rant, Baek had no doubt he had fallen for Yeol but he was insecure about Yeol's feelings due to rumors.

He acted like he didn't care but from experience and past heartbreak, Baek knew his crazy twin cared.

"First of all, don't listen to other people. Yeol is.. how I say it...a stud. The fact that he is an idiot doesn't change that he is as you say, hot. So, a lot of people are going  say things to break you apart. If you want to know how he feels grow some balls and ask him. Don't pretend you don't care because that could get you hurt in the end," Baek said before silence filled the car as they finally arrived at school.

Baek grabbed his bag and left Hyun who didn't move.

Hyun silently smiled to himself.

Baek acted like a cold-hearted asshole sometimes, but he gave the best advice and cared a lot for his brother.

As soon as Baek spotted his target, he grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to an empty classroom before pinning him to the wall.

He might have been small but he was pretty strong.

"Baek, what's wrong?" Yeol asked puzzled by his behaviour.

Baek usually ignored him and had his nose buried in a book.

"I'm only going to say this once and only once." Yeol visibly gulped at the smaller man's words and glare.

"If you ever. And I mean ever hurt my brother, what I did to Kris is going to look like child's play when I'm done with you. Do you understand?" Baek said and Yeol quickly nodded his head.

"Use your words."

"Yes. I understand,"  Yeol said and Baek finally let go of him before walking away but before he could open the door, Yeol spoke again.

"I would never hurt him. I like him a lot. I have never felt this way for anyone," Yeol said.

"You're confessing to the wrong twin."  Baek looked back at him with a smile this time before he walked out.

"What was that about?" Chan said as soon as Baek walked out of the classroom.

He had been leaning against the wall waiting for Baek.

He approached the smaller male holding a cup of coffee which he passed over and Baek gladly received it and thanked him.

Ever since Chan found out Baek's favorite beverage, he got it for him every morning.

Baek had said it gave him a boast that would brightened up his morning the taller male made sure he always got his boost.

"I was fixing my brothers problems," he said as they headed to class.

"I can relate," Chan said with a smile but it soon turned upside down when Kris approached them.

"Can we talk?" Kris asked Baek, ignoring the glare Chan was giving him.

"It depends, have you somehow developed a brain?" Baek responded with a frown.

"It won't take too much of your time," Kris said.

"That's the smartest thing I have ever heard you say," Baek said before passing his hot beverage to Chan, saying he didn't want to waste it on Kris just in case he said or did something stupid.

Chan begrudgingly walked ahead to class.

"One minute and don't waste my time or you will become a regular at the nurses office," Baek said giving the taller male a stern look.

As soon as his conversation with Kris done, Baek rushed to class and silently took his seat next to Chan.

"A penny for your thoughts?" Chan broke the silence. "Was it that bad?" Chan asked because Baek wasn't usually this quiet with him.

"It's worse," Baek said with a frown but Chan didn't miss the slight blush on his cheeks which got him even more worried.

"What did that asshole do?" Chan asked getting a bit pissed off Kris did something stupid.

"He confessed to me."

"One minute and don't waste my time or you will become a regular at the nurses office," Baek said giving him a stern look.

"I like you." 

"WHAT?!" Baek asked in shock because that was the last thing he expected to hear from Kris.

"I haven't met anyone like you and even if you beat me up, I still like you. You're also really cute and I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime."
