AUTHOR'S POV 

It's finally the night of the agreed upon tryst. Since agreeing, and having been told by Dani that she will ask some friends of friends of their interest, Larry and Laurent have been looking forward to it. The task of finding someone wasn't too difficult because their marriage is widely known around Paris of which more people show approval than disapproval and the buzz about it spread like wildfire although there weren't too many people to jump or quickly agree to it. When Dani finally called Larry to tell him that one of her longtime friends who they've also met before was interested it was still sort of a shock and Larry is still finding it somewhat difficult to believe that it was even Laurent who suggested it. He thought that if it ever came up Larry would have been the one to do it so there was a huge surprise factor that it was Laurent. It's been several days and while they keep their feelings about it low key they can tell that this is something they're also eager to partake in and neither of them seem to be thinking of the fact that this will be the first time they ever engage in something of this magnitude. In the days leading up they had a discussion and agreed that it will more than like be a one time thing and they're also in agreement that it could teach them a few things sexually that they've never tried before thus taking their own sex lives to another level. However, Larry and Laurent can't lie and say that they're not slightly nervous about what's to take place...but not so nervous that they're ready to back out of it. At the moment Laurent is away and Larry is at home enjoying a glass of ice tea while relaxing on the patio when he hears the door bell ring. Normally if he isn't expecting anyone the look on his face would be that of confusion as to who it could be...but something is telling him it's Dani. He actually has no doubt that it's her so he goes inside and on his way to the door he places the half-full glass of tea on the bar. He's in the hallway where there's an easy glance at the door ahead and sure enough he sees the silhouette of her through the door so his steps pick up because now he's wondering if she's ok. An impromptu visit when she came back was one thing because she wanted to surprise what she hoped would be both of them at the time...but normally she calls before she comes to make sure it's a good time so he's definitely worried something is wrong. He opens the door and the fact that she greets him with a worried look on his face precludes him from flashing his wide smile at her as he's always happy to see her...

Larry: "Hey Dani. Is something wrong"?

Dani: "Yes. Well, no. I mean...." *soft sigh* "Can I come in and talk to you"?

Larry: "Yes of course. Come in". 

Dani steps inside and as she walks past him Larry gets a glimpse of her profile. Her eyes are lowered and she looks really nervous. Perhaps it's something between her and Shawn...but then he remembers that he's still away for a dance project so the likelihood of it being a rift between them is very low. Once they reach the living room he sweetly instructs her to have a seat on the couch while he takes the seat in the chair next to it and right away he has a look of seriousness but more so...deep concern so he asks, "what's going on"? Dani doesn't say anything right away. It's as if she's trying to find the words...or she already has the words she just isn't really sure where to start. Larry then wonders if she and Shawn are in trouble...

Larry: "Are you and Shawn oki"?

Dani: *nods* "Yeah we're fine. I talked to him last night and the video is wrapping up so he'll be home soon". 

Larry: "Oki. So what is it"?

*brief pause*

Dani: "I...I just wanted to ask if you and Laurent are sure you want to do this". 

Now Larry's concerned face is magnified and he's wondering why this is bothering her so much so in a soft voice...

Larry: "Yes we're sure. Why do you ask"?

Dani: *soft sigh* "Well I have to be honest Larry. I feel like it can cause more trouble than it's worth which is why I said I would never suggest it nor would Shawn and I ever do it". 

Larry: "I don't understand. Cause more trouble than it's worth"?

Dani: "I just mean that if you both enjoy it so much and it becomes more than a one time thing it can cause problems in your marriage. I don't want to see anything happen to my best friends". 

Dani is truly one of those people that Larry and Laurent couldn't be more grateful to have in their lives. She would do anything for them...help them in anyway she can and she always takes pride in doing so and for those reasons Larry can't help but smile softly as he replies sweetly to her...

Larry: "Thank you Dani. I speak for Laurent too when I say we really appreciate that but don't worry for that. We talked for this. Laurent has my heart and I have his so this won't ever change us". *pause* "Couples do this all the time, right"?

Dani: "Yeah", she replies softly. 

Larry: "Oki and I'm sure those couples are fine so please don't worry".

Dani: "But Larry, when I brought it up you told me that you didn't know about that or the swinger thing so I took that as you never wanting to do those things". 

Larry: "I know I did but Laurent asked me".

Dani: "So is that why you said yes? Because it's something Laurent wants"? 

Larry: "No. That's not what I mean. Yes he asked and it took me by surprise, I admit, but the more I think for it the more I want to so we agreed".

Dani: "And you're absolutely sure".

Larry: *smile* "You worry too much", he playfully replies.

Dani: *soft sigh* "I just...."

Larry: "No I was kidding but I'm sorry. I guess I shouldn't have made a joke for that but yes, I'm sure. Thank you again for the concern. You really are the best friend". 

Dani: "You're welcome". 

Larry notices the still visibly concerned look and Dani just giving off a completely "I'm not so sure about this" vibe so he gently takes her hand in his and tells hers, "it will be fine". Larry is giving her his assurance and with how confident he appears to be all she can do is nod to acknowledge that she does hear him. The inside of her is a completely different story but instead of repeatedly asking if he's sure or repeatedly expressing her concern she will just let it go and trust what he said...

Dani: "Ok". *pause* "Well I have some errands to run so I'll talk to you guys soon". 

Larry: "Oki. I'll walk you to the door". 

Her steps to the door don't appear to be filled with as much worry as they were when she walked in. Or perhaps that's what Larry sees because he believes that she's ok now that they've talked. Once at the door Dani reaches for the knob and is completely unaware that she hasn't hugged him like she always does so Larry gently grabs her by the shoulder to turn her around and do it himself. She hugs him back and a few seconds of silence go by before Larry whispers to her to be safe to which she replies also in a whisper that she will. Larry then opens the door for her and walks her to her car. As she drives away Larry smiles at the fact that she's so sweet to be concerned. Of course if he's being honest he understands why it would be a concern for her or anyone for that matter...but he's confident in his answer so he turns around and walks inside to wait for Laurent to come home. And for what's going down tonight...

Laurent: "Bebe", he calls out sweetly. 

Laurent walked into silence and no sign of his love so his natural instinct was to call out for him to see where he is. Once he hears that voice calling out just as sweet, "I'm in the bedroom my love" Laurent smiles then once he hits the bottom of the stairs he begins going up in a light jog...but an also anxious one as he follows the sound of that beautiful voice in anticipation of seeing that beautiful face. Larry is in the middle of making sure the room is clean while also putting away a few articles of clothing that have been washed and folded. Laurent walks over to him and places a soft kiss on his lips then asks in a soft tone...

Laurent: "Can I help with anything bebe"?

Larry: "Thank you baby but it's not much so I got it". 

Laurent: "Oki my love". *pause* "I know you just made the bed but I want to rest if you don't mind". 

Larry: "No I understand baby". 

Laurent smiles warmly then walks around to plop down on the bed. That smile remains as he watches his love finish up the last little bit. He closes the drawer then turns around to discover Laurent looking at him...

Larry: *smile* "What"?

Laurent: *smile* "Just looking at you". 

No one looks at Larry like Laurent and even though it adorably makes Larry shy he simply can't get enough of it. Then he asks...

Larry: "Can I join you"?

Laurent doesn't reply verbally. Instead he takes his hand and pats Larry's spot so Larry walks over to lay next to him. The closeness is instant and after Larry places his head on Laurent's chest they bask in the silence of their large bedroom. That's when Larry decides to talk about something and it isn't what will be happening in a few hours. It's about their very good friend he saw today...

Larry: "Dani was here today". 

Laurent: "Is she oki"?

Larry: "Yeah she's fine. She wanted to ask me if I'm sure for what we're doing. She's worried". 

Naturally Laurent is confused about this as he's still unaware that she and Larry talked about this prior to Laurent proposing this to Larry...

Laurent: "Why is she worried bebe"?

Larry: "She's worried that something like this can turn out bad and she doesn't want anything to happen to us".

Laurent: "What did you say to that"?

Larry smiles then takes Laurent's hand in his and as he responds he places light kisses to the back of it...

Larry: *smile* "I told her not to worry". *kiss* "You have my heart". *kiss* "I have yours and this won't change anything". 

Laurent can only respond to that by saying one thing. He lowers his mouth to place a kiss to the top of Larry's head...getting a slight tickle from Larry's fro on his lips...

Laurent: "You told her right my love", he whispers. 

Larry: "I know", he whispers back.

At that moment Larry raises his head to look down into Laurent's eyes that are smiling just as beautifully as his smile. He then lowers his mouth so they can engage in a kiss then it's back to silence. That silence eventually causing them to fall into an afternoon slumber which perhaps is a good idea because they could discover later that they might have needed this rest after all...

~7 pm~

It's sunset. The fiery red orb of light slowly sinks beneath the horizon. Threads of light linger in the sky...mingling with the rolling clouds. The heavens are dyed first with various rich colors. Orange, red, then dark blue until all that's left of the sunset is a mauve like color which then is melted away as darkness takes over the sky. Inside, Larry and Laurent have already had their dinner and have spent the last several moments waiting for their guest. The preparation for this has been taking place all week long so it's just a matter of when he will arrive and the tryst begins. Laurent nods then takes Larry's hand in his as they walk hand in hand to the door. He has to drop it in order to step forward and open it and when he does there stands Brian who's slightly shorter in stature, beautiful lightly colored brown eyes, a medium build and beautiful brown skin...

He's smiling at them and it doesn't appear to be a nervous smile at all...

Laurent: *smile* "Hey Brian".

Brian: *smile* "Hey Laurent. Larry. Long time no see".

Laurent: "Yeah it has been a while. Come in".

Laurent: "So have you been doing"?

Brian: "I'm doing great. Work is going well".

Larry: "You're an architect right"?

Brian: "Yes I am".

Larry: "Yeah I remember. I'm glad it's going good for you".

Brian: "Thanks".

There are a few brief moments of awkward silence. Larry and Laurent are wondering if Brian is just like them and has never engaged in this before...but this isn't exactly the time to ask him. Laurent opens the door and watches until Brian is in the car then shuts the door followed by locking it. ~three nights later~

"My name is Anthony".

Larry: "So how can I help you? Do you want to order a drink or something to eat"?

Anthony: "No to both, but thank you". 

Larry: "Welcome".

Anthony: "I'm here because Dani told me that you and your husband are looking for someone to um, you know". *laugh*

Larry: *smile* "Yeah I know". 

Anthony: "She told me a few things about you two and how you're all great friends. She then told me if I'm interested I should contact you". 

Larry is staring blankly at him because it's clear where this is going...but he will wait for him to say it...

Anthony: "I came in last night and saw you working then dancing a little. I just didn't approach you". *laugh* "And no I'm not a stalker". 

Larry: *laugh* "No I'm not thinking that". 

Anthony: *smile* "Good". *pause* "Well if you and your husband are still looking for someone I came tonight to tell you that I'm interested". 

Larry: *smile* "Well, can you tell me about yourself"? 

Anthony: *smile* "Sure. I'm a personal trainer and I own a gym. I'm a workaholic but it's because I'm very passionate about fitness. I have a brother who's in the military and he's currently stationed in Germany so it's just my mom and I". 

Larry can't believe he's never seen this man around before and he's beginning to wonder how often he's been to his club or if he only started coming since he Dani told him he works here. Him being a trainer makes perfect sense because his body says it all and Larry can't deny that he hears that rich base in his voice as he tells Larry more about himself. After he utters the last word...

Anthony: "So, why did you two decide for this"?

Larry: "We just wanted to spice things up a bit". 

Anthony: "Wanted"?

Larry: "Yeah because we tried and it wasn't great so we just don't know anymore". 

Anthony nods softly and at that moment club goers begin to pile up at the bar prompting him to stand up while also reaching for his wallet in his back pocket...

Anthony: "Listen I'll let you get back to work but if you two want to give it another shot here's my card". 

Larry looks down and gently takes it from his hand then slowly looks back up at him...

Anthony: *smile* "You can call anytime". 

Larry: *nods* "Yeah oki". 

Anthony, still smiling, backs up then turns around and with pure sexiness in his steps he leaves the club leaving Larry completely stunned. So much so that even though he recognizes someone standing in front of him who's ready to give his order he's still looking in that direction as he asks, "what can I get you". He eventually turns his gaze to the front and he manages to get back to work...but all the while he's thinking that maybe he and Laurent can give it another try with Anthony. It could be a much better experience and if that walk says nothing else it's saying that maybe he has a few tricks up his sleeve that he can show them. For now, the card goes in his back pocket but for the rest of his shift he's eager to get home and talk to his love about the man who came in and completely blindsided him...
