I walked down the road. I walked past Jehan's house. He looked up.

"Hello Éponine!" He shouted.

"Hello." I answered.

He scooped up a bunch of flowers and handed them to me.

"Here take these." He said.

"Thanks..."

He scooped up another bunch.

"Can you take these to Marius? He said he wanted some to give to his girl." He said.

"Oh....yeah." I said.

     I walked away. I couldn't believe it. Every good thing that happens to me always ends with a reminder that Marius loves another girl.
