Things have been tense with your boss since the second training. He's been in your space a lot as of late and that wasn't even the bad part necessarily... He's been really sweet but, it was interrupting the time you spend with your squad. Your time with Dmitri was interrupted as well and that was annoying and you didn't like how sweet your boss was being. It was an agenda. You knew it was because he saw how you were with a dad and thought that was the green light for you to be into older guys. Dumbass. To be honest you were just not him.

"What crawled up your ass?" You looked up at Ghost who was hovering by the door and you huffed. He was the first and only one to notice your crush on Dmitri and would try to help you go and talk with him whenever he could.

"The boss is being extra nice and it's because he saw how I and my dad were. No one besides you, Dmitri, and Konig know he's my dad so now he thinks it's a green light to make moves. He gets in the way of me trying to talk with Dmitri. We both have limited time as it is." Ghost nodded humming a bit just watching as you cleaned up your office mumbling to yourself. 

"Dmitri is in our room by himself. You got 20 minutes." Your head shot up with a grin nodding to him. You saluted him taking in his light chuckle.

"Anyone asks for me, I didn't tell you I just said I'll see you later." Ghost nodded watching in amusement as you grabbed your phone and keys and left speed-walking to where Dmitri was.

Dmitri was by himself just like Ghost said and was on his phone looking at something when you came barging in startling him. He quickly touched his face to ensure his face was covered to keep from scaring you. You were the first woman he liked in a very long time and he didn't want to ruin it because of his abnormalities. He put his phone away to give you his undivided attention.

"Hi, Dmitri!" You were excited to see him and took a seat across from him putting aside your stuff and just looking at him. "I wanted to talk with you for a bit before we both have to go and attend to our jobs." He hummed studying you as well.

"How was your day? Any hard or difficult patients?" You loved the sound of his voice, it was smooth like butter and rich with an accent you couldn't pinpoint. You loved when he would ask you questions because it made you feel as if he was actually interested in how your day was, which led to word vomit. Every time you would a word vomit, you thought you would be annoying, but you would catch the twinkles in his eyes and the way they crinkled, showing he was smiling every time you opened your mouth. This did not help the crush that you had on him. 

" I, in fact, had a pretty good day, which is rare here. You already know how I usually have difficult patients, but I was lucky today, and everyone was cooperative. I cannot say the same thing will happen tomorrow, though. How about you? How was your day? How's training been going on? And have you been getting along with anyone else in the squad besides Ghost and Konig?" You did not expect him to really answer you as much, but you were pleasantly surprised when he opened his mouth.

"I have been getting along with Lopez and Grayson. I give the guy Hudson props for trying but, I am honestly not interested in anything he has to say. I listen to be polite." You couldn't bite back the smile if you wanted to. Hudson was here for a long time and he was a handful. You heard stories about him from everyone and you swore the military kept him because of how nutty he really is.

"I think the real reason Hudson is even allowed to be part of the military is because he does not have all his screws tightened. I am pretty sure half of them are loose, or just completely gone." Your ears were blessed with his laughter, and you swore you had hearts in your eyes. You wanted to hear his laughter more and more, a little selfish part of you wanted to be the only one to hear it. 

"You're probably right about that one." You let out your own chuckle, and the two of you sat in comfortable silence for a couple of minutes before you turned on your phone and started looking at animal videos. You glanced between your phone and him wondering if he would be interested in them. He caught you staring and tilted his head to the side.

"Is there something on the phone that you want to show me?" You nodded your head and got up to sit next to him, showing him the phone. If you had been paying attention to his body language, you would have noticed that he froze up and was stiff a little bit, even though his eyes were on your phone. "Are these different animal videos, or are these just dogs and cats?" You were trying not to focus on the fact that this is the most he has ever talked in your presence. It was making you excited, and you didn't wanna become a bumbling fool in front of him.

"It's all kinds of animals. And I thought that you might wanna see them. You know how silly animals can be when they're trying to do stuff." The two of you watched videos for a few more minutes with you laughing more than him but you did catch a few chuckles slip out here and there. You loved how close the two of you were and how comfortable he made you feel. Technically, you knew you were not supposed to fall for any of your squad members, but the heart cannot help what it wants. It wasn't too long before time was up for the two of you, and you both had to go back to work. You were reluctant and you believed that Dmitri was reluctant to leave as well. 

"I have to go back to my post, but I would like for you to send me some of those videos. Here is my number." You glanced up in shock when he presented his phone to you. Before he could think otherwise, you grabbed it to input your number and added your name to his contacts. You called yourself, and when your phone rang, you answered and added his number and name to your phone. You couldn't help but smile as you handed his phone back to him finding it cute how he looked off to the side and rubbed the back of his neck. He was nervous.

"There you go you can text me whenever you want, and you can send me whatever you want. I don't mind I enjoy spending time with you and talking with you. You're a good person to be around." You felt you may have said too much, but You were delighted to see his eyes widen, a red flush come across the top of his face and his ears pinned back. You decided to take that as a good sign, and you grabbed all of your stuff and left him there in the room with a smile. You missed the way his eyes followed you, and he even stepped a bit out of the room to watch you walk down the hallway until he couldn't see you anymore when you turned the corner. If both of your hearts were beating out of your chests, and both of you were excited, then no one else was none the wiser.
