Chapter 3

Y/n went to a 7/11 because she was starving. She is mad but not at food.

She bumped into someone. And the person's ramyeon fell on her shoes.

It's jungkook. He looked down.

"Oh my God. I am so sorry." He kneeled down and removed her shoes and socks so that her feet wouldn't get burnt.

She put her hand on his shoulder.

"You okay?" He looked up and saw her crying.

"What? Did it hurt that much?" He panicked and made her sit on the chair. "God, do I have to bring you to hospital?"

"Is it fine, now?" Jungkook asked. She nodded.

He made two new ramyeons. One for me and one for himself.

"Wasn't it shown today? How was it?" He asked.

She sighed. "Ok. I guess."

"Good. You should get back to your cafe job soon, I am exhausted from all the work." He complained.

"Just say that you missed me." She joked and Jungkook choked on his ramyeon.

"Are you crazy? I miss who? You? No! Never." He panicked.

"Ok. Ok. I was just kidding. Don't need to panic. I am not that ugly, you can miss me." she pouted. He chuckled.

"Yeah, true I missed you." He said. Now this time Y/n choked on her ramyeon.

"Uhm? Huh? You actually missed me?"

"I missed the only person I have." He said, "Now eat, it is getting cold."

Y/n wasn't the same with Taehyung, it has been two days since she wasn't talking to him.

Taehyung had apologized to her but
y/n haven't forgiven him yet.

Jungkook has noticed that too. She was spending more time with him than Taehyung, so Jungkook thought maybe he got Y/n now.

Taehyung was in the hallway near the locker. Jungkook came to him.

"You guys are still not talking." Jungkook siad. Taehyung looked at jungkook.

He sighed and closed the locker total. "Since when have we gotten friendly enough that you interfere in my relationship?"

"Relationship? I don't think you guys were even friends. Because you are just ignoring her back except for apologizing." Jungkook said.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and behaved like Jungkook was not there.

Y/n came there, Jungkook thought she would come to him but she hugged Taehyung.

Taehyung was not avoiding her, he was giving her space. So she would forgive him.

"I missed you." Taehyung said while hugging her tightly.

"Don't you dare do that again or else I will beat your ass." Y/n warned me.

"As you say, are you going out this evening?" Taehyung said.

"Definitely. Oh Hi jungkook. I need to go. See you guys around." She said and went away.

Jungkook was surprised. Taehyung's lips formed a smirk.

"She is my friend, don't tell me how I should deal with her." Taehyung bumped into Jungkook's shoulder and went away.

"Thank you, because of you I solved mine and Taehyung's problem." Y/n said.

"Me? What did I do? And What was that? How could you forgive Taehyung that easily?" Jungkook said.

"You were the one who explained to me, we need connections to survive and Taehyung was just Trying to help me, so there was no point to be mad at him, and thank you." Y/n exclaimed, even when she didn't contact Rosé after that even when she asked her too.

But she couldn't be mad at Taehyung, when he wanted her to be successful.

Jungkook sighed, " Your welcome I guess?"

He definitely didn't want that. But he has realized that it's useless to separate Taehyung and Y/n like this.

"So, will you go out with me?" He asked.

"As a Date?"

"Hmm, you can call it whatever you want. I have been trying to take you out for days, at least go out with me. Once, please." He pouted.

She agreed.

She looked around the restaurant. "Jungkook! What is this?! Why did you bring me to such a restaurant? It looks so expensive!" She whispered.

"Just ordered," He wanted to bring her to a fancy restaurant, and he has been collecting money to do that.

She looked at the menu, "It's more than what we earn in the cafe." She whispered.

"You spoil the date, order what you want." He said.

He really wants to treat her here, but even he was surprised to see the prices. He was calculating the prices in his head.

"I want this." She pointed at the pasta which has the lowest price.

"Just that? Order something else."

"No, it's fine. I want to try it. It looks delicious." She said,

"Some drink or something else?"

"No, just water."

He smiled, now he has enough money to order for both of them.

It was nice, they got to talk to each other and were feeling something for each other.

They ate, and talked. He didn't have money left for dessert. He looked at the ring she was wearing.

"Hey, want a free dessert?" He whispered.

"Huh?"

"Take off the ring and give it to me too." He said. She was confused.

"Are you going to trade this ring for dessert?" She asked. He chuckled.

"No, just give it." He said.

She took it off and gave it to him."Don't lose it, my father gave it to me."

He took the ring, and then stood up. He kneeled on the ground. Getting attention from everyone in the restaurant.

"You are the love of my life, Y/n. Will you marry me?" He said.

Y/n was stunned, Jungkook signaled her with his eyes, "Say yes." He mumbled.

"Yes." She said, He put the ring on her finger, everyone else cheered for the young couple. She gets it, he fakes the proposal for the desert.

He held her arm and pulled her to kiss her lips, making her stunned.

The kiss surprised her, he pulled back and stared at her face.

They got the free dessert. He said thank you to the waiter.

"What? Now eat." He said, and took a bite of dessert. "Wait, what is this?" He touched her red cheeks.

"You are blushing while thinking about the kiss," he smirked.

"No! I am not! You embarrassed me!" She replied. "And leave something for me! You are eating it alone."

He offered to walk her home, she agreed.

She actually had fun with Jungkook, she was peacefully walking.

"What? Are you still blushing over the kiss?" He said.

"What? No!" She exclaimed. Jungkook chuckled.

"Sorry for that kiss, I hope I didn't steal your first kiss." He lied because he kinda hoped to be her first kiss.

"Can you stop talking about it?" She said,

"Okay, I will stop. You live alone on your own?" He asked. She nodded her head.

"Since when?"

"16, I used to live with my grandma but she passed away. So after that I started living alone." She told him.

"Don't you feel lonely?" He is the first person to ask her that.

"Yeah, it does get lonely sometimes. But Tae, he doesn't let me feel lonely. Even when we are not in school, you see how he shows up to work, he always does that. He spends a lot of time with me, he texts, calls and video calls me all the time." She Said while smiling

"You mean he is clingy?" He said.

"Hey, no. Like yeah he is clingy but I like him that way."

Jungkook's mood was spoiled when she started talking about Taehyung, he thinks Taehyung is arrogant but he fakes in front of Y/n.

They reached her apartment. "Okay, so goodnight. Thank you for the dinner."

"Yeah, Goodnight." His lips formed a straight line, he stared at her pink lips, he wanted to kiss her lips. He does know how to make the move now.

He remembered the feeling of his lips on her, how soft and delicate they were.

She shut the door, Jungkook sighed and put his hands in his pocket.

He then looked at time, he was getting late. He had to run to reach.

His shift at 7/11 started, he wore his jacket and apologized to the store manager for coming late.

He does his homework at this time, since there aren't many customers at night.

Jungkook does several part time jobs, while still studying. He manages to do work and top the class all the time. He wants to become successful, for that he works really hard.

The door open, Jungkook closed her book and greeted the customer, "Welcome,"

It was Taehyung, he was talking to someone on the phone.

"Yah! Where have you been the whole day? I was calling you and you didn't even reply Y/n." He said he picked some snacks from the rack.

Jungkook heard it, he was talking to Y/n.

"I am coming to pick you, no it is not late. You were the one who didn't answer my call. You are spending the night at my house, my parents aren't home……….. Y/n! Please! We can do so many fun things together!"

Taehyung put the snacks on the counter, he still hasn't noticed that Jungkook was there.

"Yes! Okay! I am coming to pick you! Love you!" Taehyung hung up the call. He say 'I love you' often, but to Y/n it doesn't hold that meaning.

Jungkook clenched his fist, 'Love you'? Why did they make it normal for friends to say?

Taehyung brings his wallet out to pay.

Taehyung finally notices Jungkook, "You are from our school right? What was your John c0ck or something?"

"It's Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook." He said.

He paid for the stuff he bought, he smirked, "Just keep the change as charity."

Taehyung said and left. Arrogant, rich boy that he was talking about.

"Fcking assh*le. What does he think about himself?"
