Chapter One
Chapter 1
I lay on the sand, eyes closed, enjoying the heat that was tanning my bare arms and shoulders. I really could get used to this, however I know soon reality is going to take over and I will have to go to the boring home I call Bristol. I could hear the gentle movement of the waves just a
few metres down from me, relaxing me.
My parents were currently at my aunt's house, having lunch and I decided that I needed some time to explore, in 6 weeks.
6 weeks in this place I call heaven. Would I make any friends though? I've never been here before, we go to Spain every year and we decided we wanted a change. I made an amazing friend called Chelsea in Benidorm, every year we would stay in the same hotel room, as our parents also made friends. I'd missed her so much throughout the year and when my parents told me the news I was devastated. We keep in touch a lot however, and currently we are sending many photos of our new experiences abroad.
I yelped in a mixture of pain and shock as something hard hit my side. I immediately sat up, causing me to go slightly dizzy.
I turned to see a boy who looked a tad older than me smiling and walking up to me, the ball still on the sand next to me, which had settled next to my leg.
"I'm guessing that was you?" I frowned up at the boy, sliding my sunglasses up onto the top of my head and peering up at the unfamiliar face. Well obviously he's unfamiliar, since I've never met him before.
"Sorry," he grinned. "It got a bit out of my control," he shrugged his shoulders, bending down to pick up his football, but I had other plans. I grabbed it instead and stood up, holding it with both hands to stand a better chance keeping it from him.
"Take some football lessons. Maybe then you'd still have it." I provoked him. I barely even know him, and for all I know, he could easily pull out a knife right now.
"Mhm, maybe." He attempted to grab the ball out of my hands, but I stepped back, turning towards the sea that was creeping in closer to where we were standing.
I raised an eyebrow, and turned back to the boy.
His eyes widened in realisation at my actions and he made another swift attempt at taking the ball.
"Please, do not do that! It's special addition okay, like it's a Liverpool special. Do not do it!"
I raised my arms back ready to make my throw but instead turned and threw it over his head to the other boy he seemed to be here with. A friend maybe? Brother?
"Thanks," he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Next time be more careful." I smile sarcastically. He probably thinks I'm a complete and utter bitch.
He awkwardly waved and then pointing to my side, he said, "might wanna get some ice for that."
I frowned and watched him walk away, sliding my sunglasses and readjusting my position I was in before.

"Hunny, we're going out to meet your aunt's friends. They have two sons, I expect you to make friends with them." My mother told me, ruffling my hair as I swatted her hand away.
"It's our second day here," I whined. "And you're already making me be social?"
My mum just grinned, and walked away. Thanks for the response, mum.
My dad is already at my aunt's considering it's his sister. They only get to see each other when she comes down for short visits or over a quick FaceTime call.
Me and my aunt get along. We aren't necessarily close, however the fact there is quite a large age gap between my dad and her means we relate more. There's only a 9 year different between us.
Since I was in a bikini and my hear was beach waves, I decided I should probably get ready to go and meet my aunt's friends. I suppose it would be okay, I'd be making friends. But what if the sons are about 5 years of age?
Plus I need some girl friends here too. If I'm going to survive this 6 week trip without Chelsea and my friends back home, then I'd need a female that I don't call mum.
I slipped on some shorts over my bikini bottoms and a tank top over my top half.
It was so hot here I would faint if I wore any more.
I grabbed my sandals from the bottom of my bed and joined my mum in the tiny kitchen attached to the living room.
My parents aren't mega rich. We don't specialise in buying the best we see, but my dad owns his own business so we are pretty well off. My dad bought this cabin last year before we planned to visit here, which has a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. It's on the small side, but it's cosy.
"We're leaving in 5, meet me at the car!" My mum seemed so excited. Her and Adia were even closer than Adia and dad at times.
I sat in the car for at least 15 minutes before my mum appeared in her best jeans and top. Is she not suffocating because of the heat right now?
It was only a 10 minute drive. We pulled up in front of Adia's house; her and my dad were sitting on the vintage bench outside.
She stood up as soon as she saw us, holding her arms open to my mother as we both stepped out of the car. They joint in a hug, before she turned to me.
"Oh you've gotten so big! Really have changed in the year I've seen you darling, absolutely gorgeous." I smiled and hugged her too.
My dad sighed and rolled his eyes, "Women..."
We stepped inside of the house, ready to greet my aunt's friends.
But as soon as I stepped onto the room, I saw something I never really wanted to see.
The two boys who had decided to hit me with that damn football.
And as soon as the rude one saw me, he grinned that same grin he gave me earlier.
Fuck.
