Are August 20th show was today. We were all pretty excited. But it didn't go down without any drama. Hunter nearly quite. Dead honest. I couldn't believe what Lexi did to us. It goes like this...we got Lady Lace and we were preforming in front my biological father Connor Sands because he is a producer, and his friend named Charlotte was there because she works at Fueled By Ramen and I was nervous because think about if we were signed to the same label as twenty one pilots, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and Ghost Town. I talked to Charlotte before we preformed.

"Hi, Charlotte, my name's Devon Sands, I'm the bassist and founder of Her Dark Secret." I said. "But please call me Devie."

"Hi, it's really nice to meet you, please call me Charlee." she said. 

"It's really nice to meet, Charlee, we are really excited and nervous." I said.

"Don't be." Charlee said. "What are your band mates names."

"Hunter Adkins is the vocalist, Alexa Perkins plays guitar, Amanda Heatherwood plays keyboards, and Hannah Layre plays the drums." I informed her.

"Awesome thank you, Devon." she said. I didn't mind that Charlee called me Devon she's my superior. That's why I told her Lexi's name is Alexa.

"I brought in a band to rate you on a scale from one to ten." Charlee said.

"Oh really who!" I was excited.

"twenty one pilots." Charlee informed me, she gestured to the two men sitting in the corner I gave a wave and walked to my band. But a gothic boy pulled me aside.

"Hi, my name's Zion." he said.

"Call me Devie." I responded back to him.

"I'm dating Alexa is she singing today?" he asked me. I was really confused.

"I don't think so Lexi plays guitar she doesn't sing."I said through gritted teeth.

"Oh well Alexa has a good voice you should let her." Zion said. I looked at Charlee, Connor, and twenty one pilots.

"That'd be a no." I said.

I received a text from my half sister whom we shared Connor as a father. It was Zoey.

ZOEY-Hey, Devon are you with dad?
Me-I'm working with him. What do you need Zoey?
ZOEY-Well a boy in my hall is giving me a hard time so I need dad to make living changes and Mom won't pick up her phone so.
Me-Bess'll pick up Zoe, don't worry to much okay ;) I gotta jet. BYYEE
ZOEY-Devon NO!

I went backstage to check on the girls. Hunter was doing vocal warm-ups, Lexi was tuning her guitar, Hannah was setting up her drums, and Amanda was doing scales on her keyboard. I walked over to Lex, to talk about the boy Zion.

"Hey, Lex, can I talk to you?" I asked.

"What's up, Devie?" she said.

"There's a boy out there to see if you were singing today's set." I said.

"Oh yeah I kinda told him I would be singing today." Lexi said. "But I didn't think he would show."

"Well, I hope you know your not singing it's going to be Hunter. Since she is the vocalist."

"Yeah, I totally understand Dev, I don't even like singing. That's Hunter's thing and I am not going to separating her from her job in the band." Lexi said.

"Glad to here we have an understanding." I said, and walked away. I am kinda the Mom of the band since I am the only original member of the band left.

We walked on stage.

"You will preform when I say begin." Charlee said. "Please stay your songs you will be playing for me today."

Hunter spoke into the mic. "The first we be playing is called "Hear Me (Louder)", the next "Lost In Your Ways," "Accidental," "Sorrowful", and "Meaningless."

"Okay. Begin." We began to play are song called Hear Me (Louder) it was mainly a keyboard is song and I could tell Amanda was shaky and nervous but I couldn't blame her. But It went quite for are first. I tried to pay attention to Charlee's face, and I know Lexi was paying attention to Zion's. We both could tell that he was beyond pissed.

It was a good show, I could Hunter was having a good, time along with Hannah. I went over and jammed out in front of Hannah.

"What is Charlee thinking?" Hannah mouthed to me.

"I dunno. " I mouthed back. I when I heard Hunter belt during the song it gave shivers down my spin it always does. I loved Hunter's voice. I love playing Hear Me (Louder). We finished the song and I could tell Hunter was proud of herself. Was Mr. Sands proud of me that I couldn't tell.

Next song we played was Lost In Your Ways, it was much softer than all of are other songs, and it shows the much more tame side to Hunter's voice. She doesn't like playing Lost In Yours. I noticed Charlee and Mr. Sands were bobbing there heads to the music thing was happening with the boys of twenty one pilots.

I know Amanda and Hunter were dying on the inside because they both love twenty one pilots. I thought we actually might get the spot at Fueled By Ramen. Which made happy I started playing with a huge dorky smile on my face.

Amanda noticed that I was smiling and got one too. She started to do the backing vocals for the song and bobbed along. Hunter also loosened up as well. Along with Hannah but Lexi didn't she kept her eyes on Zion the entire time.

Fast forward to the last song.

Zion jumped on stage. 

"THIS IS BS!" He exclaimed into the mic. "Alexa Perkins should be singing she has a better voice than Hunter Adkins."

"ZION!" Lexi yelled. I never heard Lexi yell like that before. "YOU HAVE TO LEAVE!"

"Alexa," Zion turned Lexi. "But why?"

"Because you are ruining our chance of getting a slot at Fueled By Ramen." Lexi said. Mr. Sands had Zion escorted out by security.

We played Meaningless, but weren't into the music that much and were just going through the motions. of what to play. Because Zion had scarred us from having a good time, and I could tell Lex felt bad.

"Well." Tyler Joseph said.

"We have to go." Charlee finished his sentence. Just like that Charlee, twenty one pilots, and Mr. Sands left. I was so embarrassed and knew after Zion's stunt we had no chance at getting a slot at Fueled By Ramen.

"It wasn't your fault, Lex." I told her.
