Chapter 9: Pull The Trigger
I broke into the White House last night. Well, not really. I called Mr. Times to tell him I was. He turned off all the alarms for me. How sweet of him. I broke in after Andrew had gone to sleep, and Theo went to get his midnight water. I ran off and took Theo's car.
The drive wasn't long, but my heart was beating. I had this magically anger stored in me, and honestly I didn't care if I killed his dad at this point. I was only wanting to kill the man who ruined my life.
I went to the back of the White House, and climbed up to the porch till I got his room. He was sitting out there waiting for me. I smiled.
"I see you made it Ashley." He greeted. I rolled my eyes.
"Let's just get this over with. Did you say your goodbyes yet?" I asked as I walked into his huge room. He shut the porch door behind him, and entered. I stood there looking at him. He walked over to me and brushed my hair over my ear.
"You look like your sister." He smiled into my eyes. I slapped his hand away and took a few steps back. He kept going closer to me.
"Leave me alone you sick man." I spat. He laughed and grabbed my waist. I tried kicking him away, but he kept grabbing me tighter. He pushed me on the bed as I tried to get away.
"If you scream I won't be the one in trouble. You remember that." He told me as he licked my ear. I felt gross, but I stopped moving. "Good girl." He sung. "Now, I want you to listen to me. I want you to be with me. I want you to leave Theo without any question, and then I want you to come to me. I'll give you a place to stay. I'll drop the marriage with Theo. I want you. You look just like your sister." I wanted to throw up. He kept kissing my neck, and I felt dirty. I wanted him off and dead.
"I love Theo." I told him. He laughed.
"Yes you might, but he won't love you if he finds out that you killed his only father. Plus, dear if you kill me they'll make sure that you get killed as well. I mean look at you. I could shoot you right now, and then you wouldn't have to worry about anything ever again." He put his hands on my shoulders and pinned to me to the bed. "Or I could do what I did to your sister." I kept myself together.
"I'd rather die knowing the man that ruined my life was dead, than live knowing he's still here." I told him. He just smirked.
"Alison!" He yelled. The doors busted open, but I couldn't see who it was.
"Yes father?" It was Alice's voice. I tried kicking out of Mr. Times's grip, but I was stuck. He sat himself on my lower body as he grabbed something from her. She smiled at me as I hissed at her. I felt something on my hand and I turned to see Mr. Times and her tying my hands down to the bed. I yelped to get them off of me, but they just slapped my face. I looked over the Alice's hand, and sure enough were the plastic tubes.
"Alison, can you please grab my weapon box please?" He asked his daughter. I felt the rope cutting into my flesh as Alice walked away. Mr. Times grinned at me. I felt him digging his nails into my elbow at the soft spot. I opened my mouth to yell, but he stuck a piece of cloth into my mouth. I wimped as he smiled at me. "The not-so-innocent girl is helpless. No one can help you. It's a shame darling. We could have done this the easy way, but I guess not. I'll make sure it's hell now."
I struggled, but he kept forcing me down. I was scared yes, but I wasn't afraid. I've already been stabbed before, so what more pain can there be?
"Here you go father." Alice smiled. She handed Mr. Times a box. I knew what it was. A weapon box. He opened it and smiled.
"You may go Alice. Call off security, and keep at the door." He commanded her. She walked off, and slammed the door. I was alone with him and his little weapon box. "Want to see what's in here Ashley?" He asked. I kept my eyes fixed on him, not moving. The whole time he kept his smile.
First he pulled out a clip. On the inside was little points. He placed it on my finger, and it dug into my skin. I winced in pain. I felt breaking the top of my nail, and keep going through, until the ends touched in the middle of my finger tip. I shook with pain from this. He laughed at me in my pain.
"How do you like that little guy?" He asked with a smile. I thrust my chest up, trying to shake him off of me. He just laughed and pushed my body deeper into the bed.
Next thing he pulled out was a knife. Just like your average pocket knife, but with little points across it. He smiled at me as he took the inside of my forearm. I knew what this would do. He pushes the knife in, and painfully slowly slides it on my skin. It goes deeper each time, and gets caught on my skin. It hurt bad. Stabbing sound almost peaceful compared to this. I bit down on the cloth in my mouth, to try to stop my tears.
"Just five more things I want to use on you." He grinned. I screamed into the cloth when he took the clip and knife out of me. I felt blood all over my body. I yelped as he turned my over. I saw where my hand used to be, and there was blood all over the silk sheets. He lifted the back of my dress and left my back exposed.
I wasn't really sure what he pulled out next because I wasn't facing him, but it hurt. He made little cuts on my back, which didn't hurt as bad as my arm, but it still hurt. After a while of him doing it I figured out he was writing something. As he got lower on my body, he dug deeper into my skin. I struggled under him, trying to kick him off of me. I was losing so much blood that I thought I might die.
"Father, come quick. Someone is at the door." Alice's voice echoed through the room. I felt him get off of me, and someone else came onto me. "Little Ashley at her weakest." Alice said in my ear. I felt the cold of a knife slide down my neck. "Pierce." She sung. "He wrote your mother's name on here. How sweet." She said. I felt her push the knife into my skin, and I cried.
"Vanilla!" Someone shouted. Alice jumped off of me as friendly hands came over to me. Someone was untying me. I felt the ropes fall off of my bloody skin, and the cloth pulled out of my dry mouth.
"Help." I wimped. I closed my eyes as friendly arms wrapped around my body, and turn me around. It was Theo.
"Vanilla." He sobbed. I let my tears fall as he pulled me into a hug, but I couldn't hug back. I had no energy. I cried into his shoulder because I was going to die if he hadn't come. As I cried I felt something on my temple.
"Theo. What's that?" I asked shakily. He drew away and pure horror was on his face. He turned towards my left facing someone.
"Alice! Put the gun down!" He shouted.
"Did I hear shot?" She said. I kept my eyes forward as I saw Theo jumped to my right. BOOM! She pulled the trigger. I kept still as my body cracked, and I cried. She didn't shoot me.
"Vanilla?" It was Theo's voice. I turned towards him as he grabbed the gun from Alice. "Let's go home now." He said. I drove into his arms and cried.
~~~
"This may hurt a little." Theo whispered. He rubbed the wet cloth over my forearm. It burned and stung. I let out a hiss as I bit the sheets on the bed to silence myself. "How are you feeling?" He asked as he grabbed out cloth to wrap my arm.
"Dandy." I told him. He laughed and kept wrapping my arm.
"I'm sorry Alice did this. She must have broke in and got you in your sleep." He frowned. I wish I could tell him who actually did it, but I couldn't let this happen.
"It's fine. At least you came and found me. Thanks for that." I told him. He signaled for me to turn over on my stomach, so I did. "So, how did you know where I was?" I asked.
"Andrew told me." He said as he put the wet cloth on my back. "Who is Pierce?"
"My mother." I told him. He started wrapping my stomach and back up with cloth.
"Why would Alice put your mother's name on your back?" He asked.
"I don't know." I lied to Theo. I knew why. All too well.
"Well, Andrew told me about your sister." He told me. I shot up. Andrew told him about my sister? I jumped off the bed, and grabbed my robe. I wrapped it around me, and ran to Andrew's room. I busted through his door as he sat on his bed reading. I gave him an eye and jumped on him.
"What are you doing Vanilla?!" He yelled. I pinned him to the bed and looked him in the eyes.
"Why the fuck did you tell Theo about my sister?" I hissed through my teeth. "You know how I feel about that subject." I let my nails claw into his wrist.
"He's your fucking boyfriend. He has a right to know." He screeched. I let my grip go off a little.
"Why don't you tell him about my damn parent's while you are at it. Maybe even who killed my sister. Why don't we tell him!" I screamed. Andrew pushed his hands up, and hit me off of him. He rolled over me, and pinned me down.
"Ash, the poor guy has to deal with a psycho girlfriend. I think the guy needs to know a little bit." Andrew slur. A cough was heard, as we directed our heads towards the door. Theo was standing there looking at us. Andrew jumped off of me.
"Who is Ash? I'm pretty sure he isn't an ex-boyfriend." Theo asked as he walked over to the wall to lean on. We sat there in silence, both Andrew and I not wanting to tell him about the past.
"Our names aren't Andrew and Vanilla." Andrew told him. "My real name is Josh, and Vanilla's is Ash or Ashley." He said as we kept our heads down. I knew Theo felt out of everything. I decided to do something I knew I would dread.
"I also am married." I sighed, keeping my gaze away from Theo. I knew I would have to tell Theo this. Ash is married to Josh, but Vanilla is married to Theo. "When I turned eighteen our boss decided to get us married to change our last names. So, Andrew and I are married. My real name is Ashley Andrews Arthur Jepson, but now that girl is gone. I'm now Vanilla Ashley Roberts."
"I see." Theo said. I looked up at him, and he looked hurt. I walked off the bed, and towards Theo. I went to hug him, but he stopped me. "I need to think about it." He told me. I nodded. "I just need tonight to think about it. See me tomorrow." He told me as he walked out the door. I felt broken.
"This is the worst mission ever." I said as I turned towards Andrew only to find him in the closet. He walked out of the closet with his hands behind his back.
"Ash, I need you to do something." He said. He moved his hands in front to be holding a pistol. I looked up at him, and all emotions poured out of me.
"Andrew? What are you doing?" I sobbed as I rushed over to him to grabbed the gun. He didn't put up a fight as I grabbed the gun.
"Ash, I need you to shoot me. I want you to get revenge on your family, and I'm stopping that. If I'm here then more things Theo will have to learn." He said as he cupped my cheeks. I let tears drop down my face as Andrew kissed them away. "Please, or else I will have to figure out another way to do it. I need you to." He grabbed my hand and placed the gun to his temple.
"I can't pull the trigger Andrew." I cried. I tried moving my hand away, but he kept it there.
"Please Ash. I want this. You've killed so many people before, why can't you kill me?" He sighed.
"Because I care about you. I love you." I cried into his shoulder while holding on the gun still. I let my emotions come out as I listened to Andrew's heartbeat.
"I love you too, Ash. I do, but I need you to do this. If you love me, you will do this." He whisper into my ear. I couldn't. I couldn't kill the only person to keep me purely safe. "Please Ash."
"No, don't make me." I moaned. I looked into his eyes as he smiled. I shook my head slowly. He took his free hand and wiped my tears. He kissed my cheek, as I shook with emotion. "Please don't. You're the only thing I got."
"You have Theo."
"What do you think will happen if I tell him? Or when I don't and kill his dad?! I'm all alone with no body!" I screamed. Andrew took him into a hug and took his hand off the gun. I let it slip out of my hand as I cried into Andrew.
"I'm so sorry." He cried. I felt his wet face on me, and it only caused me to cry more. "Do you want me to drive you back to Theo's?" He asked. I shook my head.
"I'll stay here with you."
