Title: ~For You~

”Do you know how cute you look when you concentrate?” Ridge grins as he floats above the spaceman.

“Please, Ridge,” Xephos groans from underneath a blush. He tinkers with the machine and the crescent hammer thunders as it hits metal.

“Aw, you know you like it,” the demigod teases.

“Like what?” Xephos sighs and looks up at the other.

“That I’m calling you cute. ‘Cause that’s what you are. Cute and so very mortal,” he sniggers.

“Well, we can’t all live forever, can we?” he breathes, and suddenly he seems upset.

“You know,” Ridge starts, “I can make you… Like me.”

“Immortal?” he asks, raising an eyebrow.

“Yeah. It’s simple really,” he waves him off.

“Why would I want to be immortal?” He bites his lip.

“Because… Some day- you will die, Xeph. And I will live on. Forever. Won’t you miss me?”

“When I’m dead? That’s the thing, Ridge. I’ll be dead and gone, no thoughts, no feelings, and especially no missing you,” he smirks.

“You’re so mean,” Ridge pouts and crosses his arms.

“You know what, I think you only say this because you will miss me,” the spaceman winks.

“And? That’s perfectly human,” Ridge huffs.

“Exactly. You’re not human, friend. Why downgrade yourself to my level?”

“Because… I know I will. Miss you, that is. If that makes me human so be it. I would give up on eternal life to be with you. To the end of our days. Together.”

“Ridge…”

“Just think about it, Xephos, OK? I won’t force you, but think about it. You and I. Through eternities. Living forever. Invincible.”

Ridge’s fingertips caresses the bearded cheek of the spaceman, and Xephos leans into the sign of affection.

“I’ll think about it,” Xephos says, “For you.”
