~Yoona Point of View~
Four weeks.
That was how long I had been here so far.
And strange, was the first word that came to mind. As much as I enjoyed it all, enjoyed running beside Taehyung on the treadmill as he cracked jokes; swimming with Hoseok as he splashed water in my face; flying with Yoongi as he kept nudging me to throw me off balance; fighting with Namjoon as he occasionally faked a punch but instead tickled me; and height-training with Jin and Jimin as they cheered me on to beat my time - I loved it all.
But there was always that little fear lurking in the shadows; the fear of being called by our Leader Namjoon that it was time to do something. I'd improved a hell of a lot, I knew this much - my skills had developed to the point that I was a completely different person.
My bedroom mirror reflected back at me, a whole new girl. I ran my hands down my sides, smoothening the soft fabric of my black training gear. My eyes trailed up my body, observing all the subtle changes that had accumulated in the time spent here.
My legs were slim, carved nicely and firmly. My fingers traced my stomach, feeling the toned muscle beneath the fabric. My arms were no longer stick thin and lanky, rather had some slight toned muscle to them, adding curvature to my body. Lastly, I stared right into my face. Gone were the chubby cheeks, replaced with higher cheek bones and a slimmer face with a pair of determined dark eyes staring back at me.
I smiled.
Turning away, I allowed my tired body to sink onto the bed, temporarily forgetting the fact that I had to get up again to change out of my gear, my mind pondering various other things.
Primarily, the main reason for this sudden intense training.
What even was her name? What did she want exactly? When will we actually make a move? Was I even ready?
And then another thought came to mind.
The blade. Yes, it might have occurred a few weeks ago, but I couldn't help but be curious as to how it disappeared then reappeared.
Doesn't seem like much, does it? But I couldn't stop the niggling feeling that it was more, that it was something.
And then there was Jeon Jungkook.
The boy of secrets.
Before I could ponder more and organise my thoughts, a loud knock sounded on the door.
Getting up begrudgingly, my hand gripped the silver door handle and yanked the door open, causing the boy my mind was on to almost topple inside.
"Careful Jungkook!" I giggled, grabbing his arm to steady him. He glanced up, our eyes meeting for a split second before he immediately looked away.
It was always like this.
With everyone, he was fine. We were fine. I'd managed to get closer to the boy in the past few weeks, much to my delight, but there were times when we were alone, when the awkwardness would return, and we'd plunge into a bumbling mess of fleeting eye contact and stuttering words. Well, he would. Other times he'd just shrug me off completely, closing up and refusing to warm up.
But that didn't stop my determination to know him. I wanted to know him, to know the real Jeon Jungkook.
And I would make sure that I did.
It would just take time.
"Sorry," He muttered, rubbing his arm subconsciously where I'd touched him.
"The hyungs are calling you for dinner," He looked up again, managing a small smile before quickly turning back the way he came.
"Okay, let me just change..." But he was already gone. I sighed, before shutting the door.
"Mm, smells good Jin!"
I sunk into a seat beside Jimin, the only empty seat, my eyes glazing over the food arranged on the table in front.
"Of course it does, I made it," Seokjin grinned, placing a plate already filled with an assortment in front of me, causing me to clap my hands excitedly.
"You've worked hard today," He smiled, ruffling my hair before sitting down himself.
It was true.
Ever since Namjoon had 'that talk' with us, we'd converted the training into one more vigorous and intense, not knowing how long we had before a move had to be made. And as I could tell by Namjoon's face right now, I knew it would be soon.
"I have something to show you all," Namjoon sighed, before bringing out something from his pocket. It was a photo - sort of blurred, so the person's face could not be seen that clearly. A tall girl, stood in the mass of people, brushing her black hair out of her sun glass- and mask- covered face. Amidst the crowd, her aura was faintly visible.
It was black.
Furrowing my eyebrows, I leaned closer to check if I knew the woman, coming to the conclusion that I didn't. The others did.
"Holy-" Yoongi eyes squinted to the point of becoming black lines on his face. Hoseok and Jimin placed their heads in their hands, whilst Taehyung dropped his fork into his plate with a blank expression on his face. Jin frowned, stopping mid chew and glancing at Namjoon who looked troubled.
Jungkook was the worst.
He let out a growl and stood up, his chair falling back with a loud bang. His eyes were slowly turning black and suddenly, with a sinking feeling, I realised the identity of the person.
"Oh. That's-"
"Yep." Namjoon nodded. "That's her. After a year in hiding, she's here, and she's back."
