The next day Cortney ran down to Hagrid's hut to see the dragon. She got before anyone else and skipped breakfast. She stopped at the door ready to knock when it opened revealing Headmaster Dumbledore and Hagrid. Her eyes went wide and she began to panic a bit.

" Ms. Lestrange. what are you doing here? " Dumbledore asked curiously.

" I....uh......I," Cortney was speechless.

" Have you ever seen a dragon before ? " he asked. Cortney just shook her head. " Today's your lucky day, come in child, I'm sure Hagrid won't mind". With that, he left and Cortney entered the hut.

" Goodbye Professor," Hagrid called as he closed the door. At the first sight of the baby dragon, Cortney's face lit up in delight. " Bless his soul. Dumbledore is a good man" Hagrid cried.

" What id he going to do? " Cortney asked as she stroked the dragon.

"  He's going to send him off to Romania to live with his kind," Hagrid said blowing his nose. " What if he doesn't like it Romania ? What if the other dragons are mean to him ? He's only a baby dragon ".

" Maybe one, he'll come back and visit you, maybe you can go visit him," Cortney said with hope. Cortney looked at Hagrid, her eyes sparkled like the night sky. Hagrid smiled.

" He seems to like you," Hagrid said with a small smile. The baby dragon was curled up in a ball, falling asleep as Cortney continued to stroke it.

" What's his name Hagrid? " Cortney asked.

" Norbet," Hagrid sniffed. 

" It's a lovely name." Cortney smiled.

 Cortney spent the next few days visiting Hagrid trying to cheer him up. She even made him some tea. She also bonded with Norbert before he left. Now it was time for Draco's, Hermione's, Harry's, and Ron's detention. It was late-night detention. Cortney spent that night in her dorm. It was a girl's night, bonding time Daphne Greengrass called it.

" What color should I paint my nails? " Kierra asked everyone.

" Green, we have exams coming up soon, green for good luck," Daphne said.

" Ughhhh, this is going to be hell," Tracey Davis groaned.

" I legit am panicking about history of magic," Cortney said as she ate popcorn she stole from the kitchen. Pansy got up and went to the music thing. She turned the dial and music started to play. She then swayed over to Cortney. 

" Ms. Lestrange, would you take my hand in this match," Pansy said in a deep voice holding out her hand.

" I'd be honored," Cortney said dramatically giving her hand to Pansy.  All the girls got up and pretend to dance with each other, giggling in the process. All of a sudden Cortney screamed and jumped into Pansy's arms.

" What? What could have possibly scared you?" Pansy asked in a demanding way. Millicent looked at what Cortney saw and laughed.

" The fucking giant squid scared her," Millicent laughed.

" It was so scary," Cortney said dramatically as she snuggled into Pansy. The girls laughed. The door slammed open and five boys burst in ready to protect the girls. The boys were Blaise, Crabbe, Goyle, Marcus, and Theodore Nott. The problem was they came with food, a candlestick, a broom, and a book.

" What happened? Who's hurt? Where's the attacker? " Marcus rambled as he waved a broomstick in the air.

" You call yourselves Wizards," Cortney began getting out of Pansy's arms. Both she and Pansy folded their arms and bent one knee putting out their hips ( sassy pose ). 

" Yet, your weapons to protect us is food, a broomstick, a candlestick," Daphne continued

" And a book," Tracey sassed.

" Despicable," Millicent spoke. The rest of the girls copied Cortney and Pansy.

" We didn't know what was happening? " Theodore said defensively.

" Yeah, for all we know, Tracey and Daphne could have been pulling at each other's hair," Blaise said backing Theodore up. Daphne and Tracey looked at each other rolling their eyes.

" So you come to separate the, with a candlestick," Kierra sassed. Marcus went to speak, but Pansy interrupted him.

" You have been at this school longer than all of us, pulling your wand out for protection against yourself should be a muscle memory by now," Pansy snapped. Marcus rolled his eyes and left.

" So what happened ?" Crabbe asked.

" The giant squid scared Cortney," Tracey said. The boys all laughed.

" What are you girls doing anyway? " Goyle asked.

" Having a little fun," Millicent said. An idea struck Cortney. She leaned over and whispered it to Pansy. She squealed in delight.

" Since you, boys are here," Cortney began.

" Why don't you join us," Pansy finished.

" Okay," Theodore said looking at Cortney smiling.

" No ! " the boys whispered smacking him. Tracey closed the door behind them.

" It was getting a bit chilly in here," Tracey said smiling deviously.

" This is going to be so much fun," Pansy said for Cortney only to hear. They high-five and dragged the boys more into the room.  A few hours later the boys were in a girl's uniform and had make-up all over their faces.

" Oh Teddy, you look like a doll," Cortney said pretending to sound fancy as she worked on him.

"Oh, Teddy you look so precious," Blaise mimic as Kierra worked on him.

" Shut your mouth! " Theodore snapped.

" You got us into this mess! " Crabbe snapped as Tracey and Daphne worked on him.

" Picture time ladies," Pansy snide. She and Millicent put the finishing touches on Goyle. The boys all groaned causing the girls to giggle. Daphne pulled out a camera.

" By the window," Millicent instructed. They all lined up and did their best girl pose. Daphne happily took the picture.

" I'll get these developed and send them to all of you," Daphne stated.

" Can't wait to show my momma," Cortney giggled. The door opened revealing Professor Snape and Draco. Snape stared at the boys and shook his head before leaving.

" What happened here? "Draco smirked.

" Just having a bit of fun," all the girls giggled.

" How did detention go? " Pansy asked skipping over to him.

" So we were taken into the Forbidden Forest," Draco began causing the others to shudder. For the rest of the night, Draco talked about detention.  Till Snape threatened the boys to leave, and all of them to go to bed. If not points would be taken away.
