"Glad to see you could make it...," Burnetthorn meowed gruffly with a coldness that one could most likely only get after murdering someone.

"No way I would miss you leaving without nine lives." Beetlestar shot back. Burnetthorn's eyes widened, his fur standing on end.

"What-- I-- I'm leader though, I'm leader, I get lives!" He lashed his tail with frustration. Beetlestar eyes widened, his tail flashing behind him with fury

"You are not a leader. You are a murderer." He snapped, eyes lit with a fire.

The black tom quickly cooled himself down, breathed in slowly, his eyes closing and the anger dissipating from his face. "But you are the murderer left to lead my clan." He circled Burnetthorn menacingly. "And so you'll get a life. One second life." The ginger tom swallowed, his eyes narrowing with happiness. "It wasn't my idea, trust me." Beetlestar growled after a moment.

      He touched his noise to Burnetthorn's briefly, his voice low and dripping with a darkness. "With this life, I give you distrust," it felt like sickness clawed at Burnetthorn's belly, and his vision was blackened. He tried to cry out, but he was met with a dry silence. "Remember this life on your path. Because you'll be feeling it every step of the way." The feeling faded, and Burnetthorn was left gasping for air.

      "Is... Is that it...? No prophecy-- or how about my new name..!"

      "You can call yourself whatever you want, but in StarClan's eyes...," the starry figures started to pad away, "you're no leader."

       Burnetthorn choked on air, his claws digging into the cold earth. I'll show them.

      Burnetthorn shut his green eyes tight, and when he opened them, he was back in the real world. Wasptail was already awake, grooming his fur, and the moon was setting.

      "Let's get back to camp. Now." Burnetstar growled.
