chapter • 3

I was, very abruptly, woken up by a pair of claws scratching the back of my neck.

I groaned and got up, making the weight on my back fall off and a loud 'mreowww' was heard as well as a thump.

I looked down at the side of my bed and saw my cat sprawled out on my rug. I laughed and touched the scratches on the nape of my neck. I hissed.

Better wash up.

I wrapped a bandage around my neck until it covered the scratch marks that were surprisingly bigger than I thought.

I shrugged and got out of the bathroom, having already showered.

I walked to my closet and picked out a [f/c] turtleneck and a bomber jacket that Jayna gave to me on my birthday to commemorate me "slipping into the diamond life [but not fully]". At that point, I barely even memorized their stage names and real names.

But now that I've met them personally, I memorized most of their faces. And names.

I actually assigned pictures [mainly really meme-y ones] to their contacts so I can familiarize myself with them.

Pulling on some black pants, socks and a pair of brown boots, as well as the sweater and the jacket, I walk out of my room with my bag, my phone, and of course, my troublesome [ cat's name ].

"Mornin'!" Jayna chirped as she set two pairs of disposable chopsticks, two bowls of rice and some kimchi on the coffee table. "I went through your stuff and made us a light breakfast so we can get some of Boss-nim's wife's cooking when we get to the shop!"

"Thank you~" I said and sat down, looking over as Jayna poured a can of tuna in [ cat's name ]'s bowl, who quickly ran towards it and started eating.

I got my chopsticks, split them and began eating.

Jayna turned on the TV. "Hey, I was reading articles late last night, and there were more pictures of you."

"Really?" I asked with a mouth full of kimchi. "Like what?"

"You in the shop, you running from Seventeen, you getting your cat . . ." Jayna listed. "None were of us walking home though, which I was thankful of."

"Random fans around the Seoul area are trying to let their cats run around in public in order to meet the k-pop group, Seventeen," The news anchor said.

"Probably some of the crazier fans," Jayna joked as she finished up her bowl of rice.

As I finished up, I got her bowl, mine and [ cat's name ]'s that was completely empty. I tossed them into the sink.

Jayna turned off the TV and got her bag and ran over to the wall hook where her coat was and wore it.

I got my coat too and picked up my black and white mask that I wore when it was extremely cold. I picked up my cat, put him on my head while I put on my coat and mask.

Jayna opened the door and locked it with my keys and put them in my back pocket, and, least likely by accident, touching my ass.

"Yah! What the hell?!" I blushed and glared at her as she laughed and took [ cat's name ] from my head, putting him on her shoulder.

"Let's go! Boss-nim might get mad!" She said and power-walked in front of me.

I only laughed and walked at her pace.

A few minutes later, we were able to get to the shop, which was already opened, and 'Boss-nim' was waiting for us inside with a few bento boxes in his hands.

"Boss-nim!" Jayna said, bowing her head as she didn't want to drop my cat.

"Good thing you came on time," 'Boss-nim' huffed and shoved the bento boxes to me. "Here, [Y/N]. My wife wanted you guys to have some of her cooking so . . ."

"Thank you, Boss-nim!" I said, bowing.

"Don't mention it, just change into your uniform." He laughed and left the store.

Jayna and I walked to the 'employees only' room, took off our coats and wore our uniform apron. I placed the bento boxes on the table used for when we have our breaks.

"I'll clean up the aisles, you deal with the cashier and the plants by the window," My silver-haired best friend said as she walked out of the room with a mop and bucket full of water, her sleeves folded up.

I nodded and got the watering can that was [f/c] and walked out of the room too, closing the door with my foot.

Crouching a bit down to the smaller plants, I gave them all a bit of water from the can and checked if any were wilting.

"Oh, sorry!" a ring came from the bell by the door that signalled that someone entered the shop. They must've seen my butt . . .

"W-welcome!" I blushed, stood up and lowered my mask as I faced the customer . . . or customers. "W-Wonwoo-ssi? Mingyu-ssi?"

"You already called Jeonghannie-hyung 'hyung' so you can call us that too," Wonwoo said. "Anyways, nice bu—"

"Jeon Wonwoo!" Mingyu scolded and flicked his head. "We just wanted to check out this shop, but we didn't realize you worked here."

Blushing at what Wonwoo almost said, I fumbled with my turtleneck, scared that they would see the bandages. "That's weird, I thought you'd know since I wore this apron." I pointed to the stitched-in patch that had the name of the flower shop on my working apron.

"We were kind of focusing on your face more—" Wonwoo started, but got hit by Mingyu. "Yah! What is it with you hitting me today?! You kept slapping my back in the bus!" Wonwoo complained, almost pouting.

I laughed, covering my mouth and closing my eyes, and the two that were arguing seemed to stop to look at me and blushed. "Do you guys act like this off-camera?" I asked after my small laughing fit.

"W-well, sometimes . . . " Mingyu confessed, scratching his nape.

I snapped my fingers when a thought came to my head. "Where is everyone? If you haven't eaten breakfast, you guys can eat here; our boss left a ton of bento boxes for Jayna and I but we can't finish them all today."

"To answer your question, everyone is just warming up for an MV shooting later in the day, but we had to get here early so we could have some breakfast before we start shooting," Mingyu explained, leaning on the glass window next to me. "Not to mention the hours of hair-styling and makeup."

"But we can call them to come here," Wonwoo suggested, raising his hand. "They didn't go too far from here, plus we can't shoot the MV yet, so we have time."

"Aw, you poor, tired things," I mumbled and pat Wonwoo and Mingyu's backs after putting down the watering can. "I'll go set up the food, and you guys can call the others."

"Y-yes sir!" The two said and  jokingly did a salute, running out of the shop to find the others.

"Asking them on a date~?" Jayna said teasingly as she mopped the floor in front of me. "I'll help you set up the food. Boss-nim left some more in the employees room so we have around fifteen bento boxes?"

"Exactly what we need," I said, skipping to the employees room and setting up the surprisingly big table, arranging the bento boxes.

I heard the bell by the door ring and I walked out to greet who came in.

"Hi there!"
