Devotion #90 - Be Thankful
11/24/2021
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. You know what's amazing about Thanksgiving? We have so much to be thankful for on this day. I asked my family at the table what they were thankful for and you know what they said? God. They were thankful for God. Sure, they were thankful for a lot of other things but God was the very 1st thing they were thankful for. And why not? God gave us the most biggest sacrifice that anyone, in this entire world put together, could ever do in their entire lives. He bought our lives with the price of His only begotten Son so that we may know eternal paradise with Him in Heaven. Now that is something we can be very Thankful for. Yah sure we can just treat Thanksgiving like a regular day and eat at the dining table with family and friends and never ask what we are thankful for but being thankful is also about being humbled by the blessings that God has given us, even though none of us are worthy of it, let alone the blessing of His One and Only Begotten Son's Sacrifice. Heck, I'm not worthy of it yet God continues to bless me because He has something special planned for me. I know it. Wanna know something else? This morning my mom asked me why I'm so happy after being sad a few seconds ago for someone we knew. I told her that one of the reasons was because of God and everything around us could be worse if not for Him. That is why we can all be grateful and thankful for God, because life without Him would be so much worse than what it is and every choice we make in life would have had consequences that could be whole lot worse if God wasn't there with us. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Celebrate this holiday by being thankful to God for all that He has done for you this year and I hope you feel blessed for each year that is to come with Him on your side!! Celebrate it with your friends, family, and your church family!! Yell out how thankful you are to God for what He has done for you and know that He is coming soon for us all to take us to Heaven!! "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." Philippians 4:8 KJV.
(P.S. Check out Matthew West's cool Thanksgiving video. I guarantee you will be laughing till your stomach hurts. It's awesome!!!!)
God bless,
Amen
