Devotion #122 - Don't Give Into Hate
4/27/2023
Just in the last year, 70,000 people tweeted and shared the post 'Hitler was right'. Hitler. Know that name? That's the name of the man who tried to exterminate the Jewish race back in the early 1940s. It was wrong back them and it's wrong now. We are called to love not to hate. We are called to love our enemies, not hate them. We are called to love each other as God has loved us, no matter the differences. The big problem is this hate going on around. Hate is a big part of the devils influence, and it is wrong to feed into it. We may feel it a lot, but it is our battle that we cannot fight alone. If we feel this immense amount of hate, then call upon the Lord for help and guidance, even ask a family member, your pastor, or a church member for help. If you don't have anything nice to say to someone, then don't say anything at all. Trust me, I have thought of a lot of bad things to say to the people I'm angry it. But fighting anger with anger isn't going to resolve the problem. It is only gonna add more fuel to the fire that has already been lit. Don't post mean things online. It will just hurt people. If you are mad at someone, talk to God and allow Him to resolve the evil that is within your heart. Don't become like those who are posting about Hitler. We are not called to hate but to love as God and His Son loves us. "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you, not to harm you. To give you a hope and future'." - Jeremiah 29:11. God knows the path we're about to take before we even take it. Are you willing to speak with Him about your inner rage?
God bless
