Third Person POV

PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZ-

The alarm was silenced by a hand, a hand that belonged to a slumbering Issei.

The young man let out a small groan as his eyes were still closed.

Issei: "If I didn't love Pizza so much I would shoot that thing..."

He slowly opened his eyes, being greeted by his bedroom ceiling. Just when he was about to get up, he felt a weight on his chest which got his attention.

Issei: "Hm?"

He looked down and was greeted by lump under the covers. Issei, being even more confused decided to lift up the covers and was met with the sight of a naked Rias, sleeping on his chest.

He blinked.

Issei: 'Okay, that's cute but how the hell did she get into my house?'

Ddraig: ['She teleported in']

Issei: 'Again?! Also, why didn't you tell me?'

Ddraig sighed.

Ddraig: ['I did, but you didn't hear me cause you were to busy dreaming of Pizza!']

Issei: 'HEY!...... it was also strawberry sundaes'

Ddraig merely facepalmed at this. He wanted to retort back, but it was too early in the morning for an argument with his host. It was best to save that for a later date.

Ddraig: ['Yes, them too, partner...']

Issei: 'Thank you!'

Focusing his attention back to the matter at hand, Issei gently shoved the slumbering Rias off his chest; putting her on his right before he proceeded to get out of bed.

Now free, Issei made his way out of his bedroom and started walking towards the bathroom. Since he was awake, he might as well go and have a shower before anyone else gets up.

It had been a while since Issei defeated the possessed chicken Nugget; around three days to be specific. During those days, Issei kept up with his training as he knew that he still had a long way to go before he fully mastered both Dante and Vergils powers.

Although, there was something else that the young man was focused on....

His parents.

They still weren't back yet. They were still out on whatever trip they were on, if it even was a trip to begin with.

He tried calling....

He tried texting....

At first, he didn't get a reply and that made Issei even more concerned; he thought that something had happened to his parents and he was ready to set off to find them.

But then... his mother texted him back. Upon seeing the message, Issei felt a small amount of relief but he did question why neither she nor his father messaged Issei back.

All Issei's mother said was that their phones had died. That they needed to recharge them and it took longer than they expected.

He then asked when they both would return home. Issei didn't get a reply for a solid five minutes before his mother messaged back saying that they should be back in perhaps another month.

Issei; although reluctantly, accepted this answer and wished his mother a safe travel.

But the brown-haired boy cant help but feel like something wasn't right. He didn't know what nor why he was feeling such a thing.

He just....

He just hoped that nothing bad was happening to his parents. They were his family and he cared for them deeply.

Despite all of the.... shenanigans he had done in the past, Issei knew that his parents still loved him. They would always say that he was their miracle child. That he was their whole world.

???: "Issei...."

He....

???: "Issei!..."

He hoped that...

???: "Issei!.."

He hoped that his parents were rig-

???: "PARTNER!!"

Upon hearing the dragons shout; Issei snapped out of his dazed state, finding himself now in the bathroom, standing in front of the mirror.

Issei: "H-huh? Ddraig?..."

He glanced down at the green gem at the back of his hand.

Ddraig: ["You alright? You spaced out and weren't responsible to my calls"]

Issei: "I.... I'm fine, Ddraig. Just thinking is all"

Ddraig: ["About your parents?"]

Issei let out a small sigh.

Issei: "Yeah..."

Ddraig: ["I see. I understand your concern for your parents, Partner. The fact that they haven't returned is... unusual. But I don't think they are in danger"]

Issei raised an eyebrow in confusion.

Issei: "What makes you say that?"

Ddraig: ["We've already dealt with the fallen and so far a lot of the Demons have been nothing more than mindless beasts that are following orders"]

Issei: "What about the one that possessed the walking chicken Nugget?"

Ddraig: ["Argosax was far stronger than the others demons, yes. But I don't believe that he would possess any knowledge of your parents. Heck, he didn't even seem to know much of that Phenex boy"]

Issei had to admit that Ddraig had a point. Ravel did mention that Argosax was scanning his environment while inside of the chicken Nugget's body. So him having knowledge of Issei's parents was highly unlikely.

There was still Freed and his whole situation. But if memory served Issei correctly... Freed was more like a rapid dog that was sent out to kill those who he considered "Devil Worshipers". Plus, his parents were overseas so Freed wouldn't of been able to do anything to them.

Did this gwell Issei's concern? Sort of....

It was still there, but at least he knows that none of the enemies he's face so far have anything to do with it.

If Freed did have something to do with it, that rouge priest was gonna be missing both his arms when Issei was done with him.

Issei glanced back down at the green gem.

Issei: "Thanks, Ddraig..."

Ddraig: ["Thanks? Thanks for what, Partner?"]

Issei: "For calming my nerves... I definitely needed that"

The Welsh Dragon simply chuckled.

Ddraig: ["You sometimes drive me made with some of your shenanigans; mainly the ones you get from Dante.... But I will always look out for you, Partner"]

A small grew onto the boys face.

Issei: "Together until the end?"

Ddraig: ["Yes, together until the end"]

With that Issei turned on the shower, once it was nice and hot he got in it and began washing himself.

While he was washing his face, he soon heard footsteps approaching the bathroom door.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

???: "Issei, are you in there?"

Issei perked up at the voice; it was Asia's. She must've just woken up and heard the shower running.

Sticking his head out of the shower, the young man looked at the door.

Issei: "Yeah, it's me, Asia. I'm just having a shower. I should be out in a minute!"

Asia: "Oh, there's no need to rush! I was planning on making breakfast anyways!"

Issei smiled.

Issei: "Sounds good! I can't wait to taste it!"

Asia: "Then I'll get started right away!"

With that Issei heard Asia quickly run away from the bathroom room, followed by the sound of footsteps going down stairs.

Now by himself, Issei quickly wrapped up his time in the shower with drying himself off and brushing his teeth.

Once he did that, Issei quickly left the bathroom and went back to his room; getting himself dressed. The moment that he got his shirt on, Rias began stirring from her slumber.

Rias: "Mmm..."

This got Issei's attention as he looked over at the red-haired devil girl; who rubbed one of her eyes.

Rias: "Morning already?..."

She slowly opened her eyes and was greeted by Issei, who was looking down at her.

Rias: "Issei?..."

Issei: "Morning sleepy head. You sleep well?"

Rias slowly began getting up, the covers falling off her naked body.

Rias: "I slept alright..."

She then proceed to stretch her arms, letting out a yawn at the same time before looking at Issei with a kind smile.

Rias: "How about you?"

Issei: "I slept fine, although..."

He would then cross his arms.

Issei: "I don't think I recall inviting you over to sleep in my bed"

Rias blinked.

She would then let out a giggle.

Rias: "Oh, I know. But I had wrapped up some task back at the ORC and saw how late it was. So instead of going back to the house I have here in the human world..."

She then pointed at Issei.

Roas: "I decided to come over and sleep at your place"

Issei stared at Rias for several long seconds, letting the girls words sink in. Once they did, Issei lifted one of his hands up to his face and began massaging his forehead.

Issei: "This is gonna be an occurring theme with you... isn't it?"

Rias simply shrugged with an innocent smile.

Rias: "Who knows. Maybe it won't..."

She then put on what he guessed was her attempt at a flirty smirk.

Rias: "Or maybe it will~"

Issei simply let out a sigh.

Issei: "I figured as much... Also no offense Rias but I think you should leave the flirty gimmick to Akeno"

Rias was briefly taken aback by this; but it didn't last long as she soon pouted at Issei.

Rias: "And what's that meant to mean?"

Issei: "Interpret it however you wish, Rias. I'm just saying what I think is true"

Rias was about to retort back; but she soon stopped when she noticed something and that was Issei's clothes, he was wearing some casual clothing.

Rias: "Um, Issei. Why are you wearing that?"

Hearing this, Issei raised an eyebrow.

Issei: "Why wouldn't I? It's not like we have school on today, right?"

.

.

Silence.

There was nothing but silence in the brown-haired boys bedroom as both he and Rias stared at each other. Upon not receiving an answer, Issei's earlier confusion was slowly being replaced with concern.

Issei: "R-right?.... Rias, please tell me that we don't have school today"

Rias: "Umm..."

She rubbed the back of her neck.

Rias: "Sorry to tell you this Issei but.... Today is Monday"

Issei's eyes widened upon hearing that.

Issei: "Y-you're kidding.... right?"

Seeing the look on the boys face made Rias feel a little bit better about what he said earlier. In fact, she felt so good that she even decided to take it a step further and wink at Issei with a small smile on her face.

Rias: "Nope, we got school today"

And what was Issei's response to this? What would he say? What would he do upon the realization setting in?

Well that was quite simple really....

Issei:

Rias: "Um, Issei?.... You only?"

Issei: "Why are we still here?... Just to suffer..."

Rias sweatdropped. She found it so odd that Issei was fully capable of facing off against a mysterious firey being and kill it.... but was now acting like this the moment he realizes that he has to go to school.

Rias: "You're weird.... You know that Issei?"

Issei: "Yes I have been known to be that numerous times...."

He then looked up at Rias.

Issei: "So I take it that you'll be joining us for breakfast?..."

Rias nodded her head.

Issei: "Figured as much... Alright, you get dressed and I'll go and let Asia know to set a fifth plate at the table"

Rias: "Alright then"

Issei stood up from the chair and began walking over to the door, but....

Rias: "Oh, wait a second Issei"

Issei stopped and looked back at Rias.

Issei: "Yes?"

Rias: "I have something important to discuss with you; but I'll discuss it with you once I get changed and we eat"

That made Issei a little curious, he wondered what Rias wanted to talk to him about?

Issei: "Alright then, Rias. I'll see you downstairs"

Rias smiled at the brown-haired boy and nodded her head in understanding. With that out of the way, Issei proceeded to make his way out of his bedroom and allow Rias to get herself dressed.

Sure, he will have to go back in there and swap his clothes out for his school uniform. But for now, he'll just go and enjoy the delicious food that Asia was making.

Meanwhile...

???: "Ahhh! No! Stay away! Stay away from me!"

In an alleyway, far from any praying eyes; a badly damaged man covered in bruises and cuts could be seen running for his lofe, stumbling every so often.

The man soon reached the end of the alleyway, which sadly turned out to be a dead end.

Man: "N-no... No! This can't be a dead end! I don't want to die!"

???: "Oh, but you will..."

Freezing on the spot, the man slowly looked back and was greeted by a hooded figure.

Figure: "You know, oit of all you lot. You have been thr most difficult to kill so far..."

They let out a chuckle.

Figure: "But I do enjoy chasing my prey"

The man, now terrified turned around and put his back against the brick wall.

Man: "N-no... Please, not like this! You don't have to kill me!"

Figure: "Oh, but sadly I do. If I don't than my boss won't be happy with me and if he's not happy I won't get any shiny new toys to play with"

The figure tilted their head slightly.

Figure: "You understand, right~?"

The man stared at the hooded figure with nothing but absolute terror in their eyes.

Man: "Y-you.... You're a monster!"

The figure simply chuckled.

Figure: "Oh please..."

They lifted their left arm up slightly.

Figure: "Do keep talking, after all...."

Soon the man eatched in complete horror as the figures left arm suddenly transformed; morphing into a claw-like appendage  with the fingers being sharp as blades.

Figure: "I enjoy listening to the sound of my victims scream~"
